SWELTER is a beautifully bred Kingman filly whose related to several smart types, including vivienda. Her dam is a half sister to Midday who was a top class performer. This is a trainer who knows when he has a good horse and the fact that she holds group 1 entries shows how highly thought of she is. The size of field statistically for this yard is the best size and she looks to have a great chance of a win on debut.

The favourite at the present, Va Va Vroom, looks a strong candidate for the win BUT I think this horse has a squeak at making the places here at least. Buratino was a top class sprinter and the dam was a once raced maiden who brings the stamina to the breeding. His trainer has a 33.33% strike rate at this track in the last 12 months and is 1 from 1 in the last fortnight with his Flat (turf) runners. When Saemie Heffernon rides for him in 2024 the combo have a 60% SR and if you'd backed all runners you would have netted £28 to a £1 stake. It would be a rare winner over this trip for this yard but they do get a few places so at these odds I'd say TIPPING ALONG is worth a small wager EW.

I'm happy to take a punt and select TAP DANCER here. She's by Territories who I follow in sprint events and trained by Marcus Tregoning whose no stranger to winners at Salisbury. You know if he brings one here first time out they have a good shot. There are some experienced runners but it looks likely this horse can make a place here.

JASOUR looks the one here. He finished 3rd to inisherin last time out but this horse has the advantage of course and distance form over that rival here. Trainer Clive Cox has a 27.78% strike rate in the last fortnight and has a 25% strike rate at Newmarket in 2024. When trainer and jockey team up they have a 25% strike rate which is pretty useful. Yard's runners over this trip have a whopping 23.61% SR (£28.16 profit to a £1 stake if backing all runners (IBAR) in 2024). July has been great for this yard so far with a 23.53% SR (£16 profit to a £1 stake IBAR in July). Massive player here.

BLESS HIM won this back in 2022 and races off a mark 2lb's lower than today which to me sees this horse firmly in the mix. Yard's horses have been among the winners in July and I have a little inkling that this horse is going to run well today.

Don't desert PENTLE BAY in this. He's hardly put a hoof wrong so far in his career so for me he's the one to go with in this field. For sure his second behind Bedtime Story last time should be seen as excellent form, especially as that horse looks to be very smart. This track is similar in some respects to Leicester where he won. 4/1 seems a great price to me.

CHARMING WHISPER is my selection here. I tipped Volterra last time BUT I think this horse looks a better choice in this race and on these terms. His trainer has a decent 20% strike rate with his 3 year olds and this trainer's milers have been performing well in 2024. I'm expecting this horse to make the places and possibly more. Player

YEFIMENKO represents Ger Lyon's here and it feels significant that he has a 33.33% strike rate in the last fortnight and that this horse is his first runner outside of Ireland in over a year. His 3 year olds have been in fine form of late. Yard's 33.33% SR with their runners over this trip catches the eye. Incredible 35.29% strike rate only heightens my confidence and I consider this horse a massive player in this.

LOU LOUS GIFT looks like the answer to this. William Haggas and team are in good form in the last fortnight and have an excellent 34.62% strike rate with runners at Newmarket in 2024. A 25% win rate when teaming up with William Buick enhances this horse's chances further. Yards runners over the trip have a near 30% strike rate and are profitable to follow. Going, field size and class of race are all fine. Up another 7lbs but she's nowhere near to reaching her ceiling as far as talent goes and has to rate a major player.

SING US A SONG looks a very interesting runner here. Sire needs no introduction and the dam was unraced (by Galileo). This yard has been in amongst the winners and with there juveniles. This trainer doesn't bring newcomers here by chance so I think these odds seem over inflated. I'll have a small amount each way as I have a feeling this horse can make the places especially given that when today's jockey rides for Beckett they have a 33.33%. Player on debut.

SOLOMON has to be one of the best bets of the day. Haggas has been very much in the winners and his runners over this trip have been amazing (28.81% SR) and I'm going to take this very lightly raced son of Siyouni to add to his wins here. Big player.

LEAD ARTIST has looked impressive on both his starts. Gosden has a great strike rate at Newmarket and his runners so far in July have been doing very well. A 21.80% strike rate with his 3 year olds only enhances his chances as does the 23.61% strike rate with his runners over this trip. The yards runners in this class of race are profitable to follow and July has been a super month so far. Huge player from a good draw.

CHANCELLOR has excellent breeding and great connections. John and Thady's runners have been in decent form in the last fortnight. Trainer's strike rate in this class of race is 32.93% in 2024 and his runners in them are highly profitable to follow. July has been a great month already for John Gosden. Must be top of the list.

MISS NIFTY has to be the best bet here. She did finish last on her last run BUT that was in a listed event against a lot of very promising individuals. She moves back into a class 5 handicap which is massively calmer waters. Her trainer, Stan Moore, has a 33.33% strike rate at this track in 2024 and when Joe Leavy combines with Stan the have a 33.33% strike rate too. The going is a bit of an unknown but I think she has the ability to at least get a place in this contest.

I always look for territories progeny in sprint races and this horse, RHOSCOLYN, looks to have a great chance of landing this despite top weight. Trainer has a good strike rate at Haydock and is profitable to follow in 7f races. July has started relatively well for this trainer so good chance.

THE WACO KID is interesting in this field. If you'd backed every 2 year old runner from Hugo Palmer's yard in 2024 you would have generated £40.90 profit to a £1 stake. Joe Leavy is a promising young claimer and has a 20% strike rate when riding for Hugo Palmer. Mehmas is a good sprint sire. This yard's runners over the trip are in good form and are very profitable to follow, as are their runners in this class of race. Last month was very good for this yard and there's no reason to think that form won't continue. At 20/1 it looks a good EW bet.

This looks a typically strong Godolphin Debutant. I'm not sure about the other runners but this horse's pedigree is standout. Charlie Appleby's talents with 2 year olds are excellent he has a decent strike rate at Haydock also. Rossa Ryan has ridden once for Charlie in 2024 and he won. A 30% strike rate with runners over this trip only enhances the positivity behind this runner. June was yet another excellent month so I'm expecting July to follow suit. Huge player.

ULTRASOUL is a very well bred Kingman Colt trained by Roger Varian. Both Sire and Dam knew how to win and whilst these races are always difficult to figure out I'm backing this horse. Recent weeks haven't been as good as normal for Roger's runners BUT he has a 25% strike rate at this track which is encouraging. EW player.

The favourites of this race might well score BUT I'm going to side with HOT CASH. He's related to several smart types including Hatta Fort and Blue Bayou. This isn't the strongest class 4 handicap and if looking at those that have run there aren't too many that stand out. Jack's 2 year olds are in good form and David Probert and Jack have a 21.43% strike rate when teaming up with each other. The yard's runners over this trip have a 22.44% SR and are highly profitable to follow (£16.55 profit to a £1 stake if backing all runners (IBAR) in 2024) not to mention the 25% SR in this class of race (£48.66 profit to a £1 stake IBAR in 2024). Only one runner so far for this yard in July but June was the second consecutive month this yard were profitable to follow. Has to overcome relative inexperience BUT he has the pedigree to run a big race on debut. Worth a go at good odds

THE REVEREND is my best bet of the day and when you think about it it's obvious. He's got the best form in this race and great connections. He has a similar strike rate when Marquand rides for him. Massive player

MASOUN looks the one for me in this race. He's been pretty consistent overall. His recent form reads well with the winner of his previous race winning again next time out. Trainer Johnny Murtagh has a decent strike rate at this track and also has had a decent strike rate with his 3 year olds. Runners over the trip tend to run well. Looks like he's got a good opportunity to go. One better here.

Stoute knows how to get the best out of the older horses and so I think this horse looks the one to be on in this race.

Ed Walker has a great strike rate of 37.5% at this venue, but he also has a 31.25% ST with his 2 year olds and their very profitable to follow (£26 profit to a £1 stake if backing all runners (IBAR) in 2024. When Saffie Osborne rides for him they have a 24.56% SR (£22.12 profit to a £1 stake IBAR). Walker has a 23.08% strike rate with his runners over today's trip (£15.12 profit to a £1 stake IBAR in 2024). I like the way this horse won last time out. Trained by the legend that is Aidan O'Brien I am surprised to see this horse @6/1. Well worth a bet
