I don't know why this horse is such long odds?! He's 1 from 1 over course and distance, and the trip as well as an 80% win rate on similar going!! Lualamba may well be odds on BUT he's only ever been placed at this trip. For me, I'd wait until Nicky Henderson's form improves before believing in odds on shots!! FINGLE BRIDGE for me in this.

This horse's trainer is bang on form, and I have to say it's hard to fathom the exact reason that the horse is at such long odds. Already with decent Irish form in the book, this mark may slightly underestimate LITTLEFOOT's chances in this!

U S MARSHALL improved last time out to win a maiden over 3m at Uttoxeter. It's hard to know how good that form is, but the horse that finished 7th did win next time out. Toby Wynne has a 21.43% strike rate, and if you'd backed every runner ridden by Toby at Uttoxeter in 2025, you'd have netted roughly £34 profit per £1. His stats when riding 5-year-olds are equally impressive, not to mention how profitable he is to follow in 2m events. I'll be hoping this horse can make the places.

COMING UP EASY represents connections who I'm following at present. I think the yardstick's recent form is a distinct bonus, and the relationship that the jockey and trainer enjoy has been going well so far this season. The fact that this horse will appreciate the conditions is another big plus point to factor in.

Talented rider on board and back in trip to a trip that this horse should appreciate having looked like needing further over 8f. All 3 previous races were on the turf and I can see the switch to the all weather being very beneficial. Has the plum draw and a fine claimer on board today also. I'm imagining this horse making the places here.

Some have said that this opening mark may stretch this horse, but that's pure speculation. I actually think he's shown enough that I think he has a chance of making the places at least in this. He's by Walk In The Park, whose progeny have a 38% preference for heavy going, which is bound to help. And of course, he's on such a low weight that it could really be of help to him. Sometimes you get a feeling about one, and this is one of those times. I shall back MY BOY CHRISTY a small amount EW.

DON'T GO YET looks to have a super chance to me in this. Ultra consistent and the form of his latest second over fences reads very well (several subsequent winners came out of that race). He's absolutely thrown in here based on that form and he could still be progressive within this sphere. I think it's more than likely this horse can at the very least get a place in this contest!

There's absolutely no way this horse should be at these bigger odds! The horse is ultra-consistent and has a 37.5% strike rate with Jenny Candlish. Luke Scott may not yet have ridden out his claim, but it seems likely it won't take long! This jockey/trainer partnership has a whopping 36.84%, and LAWRENNY has a 40% SR on similar going. Place claims at least here!

CAROLINA JETSTREAM shouldn't be this price. This filly has every chance of improving enough to feature here and has already proven that she not only likes the track but the surface and the going too. The trainer has been in excellent form at Dundalk and also with his two-year-olds (£86+ profit to a £1 stake if backing all runners (IBAR) in 2025). I really like her chances here.

COUNTERINTUITIVE has great breeding, and either on the turf or all-weather, this combo (Frankel out of Dubawi mare) has produced horses rated between 115 and 128. I would be absolutely amazed if this horse can't get seriously involved at the finish. Big player.

I'm going to overlook the not-so-good form of this yard in the last fortnight and back WALKINTHEWOODS to come at least placed. Osian Radford has ridden once in the last month here and won. Evan Williams's strike rate here is also good (31.58% in 2023). I always think that Plumpton is a difficult track to win at, so I think that win will set the horse up well for this race. The 8-year-old is on a mark he has previously won from, and neither going conditions nor the trip should hinder at all. Interesting!
