Halifax returned to the racecourse last month after a 290 day break. He ran well, led for most of the race and got tired near the end. Now he is fitter and running over a slightly shorter distance, I feel he can be very competitive. Hopefully, he will get an uncontested lead. He has even been dropped a pound in the handicap and every little thing can help, especially as the last time he won a race he did so from the same handicap mark as tonight's.
