For a team at the bottom end of the table, Burton have a decent record of W4 D1 L3 F11 A7 from their games against top 7 teams, and in their penultimate game they came a way with a 3-1 win over 6th placed Huddersfield while the lost only by a 1 goal margin to 2nd placed Lincoln in their latest game.
3rd placed Bolton are on a record of W12 D10 L6, but of those 26 games only 4 were won by a margin greater than 1 goal, so as they have also scored only 5 goals in their last 7 games (winning only 2 of the 7), I reckon as long as Burton don’t conceded an early goal there has to be a good chance they could give a return if backing them with +1.25 goals on the AH @ 1.80

Switched to chasing on returning to racing in Dec. last year after a 6 months break and put in decent efforts in the 3 of the 4 which he completed, the latest when 3¾ lengths 3rd of 14, C5, 3m1f, Gd, 28 days ago.
He runs off an unchanged mark today (same mark as opening chase mark) and it may be a case of he needs a few more pounds off before entering the winners enclosure, but with the form he’s shown to date and with his usual 3lbs claimer in the saddle, he should remain competitive and be thereabouts again today

He is up 4lbs after his win and B Hughes takes over in the saddle, but as the form horse in the field and maybe more to come from this improver, this looks a good opportunity to take a 2nd win

Portsmouth have failed to score in 9 of their 26 games this season, but they have shown better form in front of goal in recent games having scored in 6 of their last 7 games, scoring a total of 8 goals, so against a Southampton side who conceded in each of their 14 away games this season and also in 8 of their last 11 games, I reckon there is a good chance they too could be good for at least 1 goal.
I was leaning towards a draw (1-1) for this game, but with a chance either team could maybe nick the win I think I will play safe and go for Both teams to score at 1.75

Started favourite for his chase debut, last month, only to weaken 2 out and finished 13 lengths behind the winner. Watford’s 1-0 loss last week was the first game in which they had failed to score after a run of 15 games in which they had scored in each of the games and as they bounced back with a goal in their midweek game 3 days ago I think they could be good for a goal in their away game against a Blackburn side who have kept only 1 clean sheet in 13 home games this season.
Blackburn have scored in 4 of their last 5 home games and have failed to score in only 3 of all 13 home games, so although my first thoughts on this game was that Watford could possibly nick a 1-0 win, I reckon there has to be a good chance that Blackburn could put 1 past Watford and the odds of 1.88 for both teams scoring could be the bet to go for in this game

I’ve gone for a Leicester home win in this game, but I also think it could pay to back over 2.5 goals as Leicester’s games have not been short of goals, their last 11 games ending with both teams having scored and 10 of the 11 ending with 3 or more goals scored (total of 40 goals in the 11 games, F19 A21), so although Oxford have a poor scoring record in recent games, they have scored 25 goals in 27 games this season so can, hopefully, score 1 today or as I reckon goals are looking likely, there could be an opportunity to trade to return my stake if the goals don’t come too late on in the game

Looking at the form of these teams in their last 4 league games, you could be tempted into thinking Wolves could maybe walk away with something from this game, but, if you look at the overall season long form of these teams and also the difference in quality of the squads, the bet for me will have to be on Man City taking a comfortable win.
Man City have a home record of W8 D2 L1 F27 A8 with 21 of their 27 goals scored having come in 6 games against the current bottom 6 teams (they beat Wolves 4-0 on opening day of the season)
Wolves have lost 8 of their 11 away games while scoring only 5 goals and have conceded a total of 41 goals in their 21 games (H&A) this season, so for me the bet has to be Man City on the AH with -1.75 goals @1.82

Showed what he is capable of with 2 consecutive wins in February last year only to fall at the 2nd after making a bad mistake in his attempt at a hat-trick.
He didn’t reappear until 8 months later, returning in good form to get within 2½ lengths of the winner (Class 4, 2m3f, Gd), so although well beaten (21L) in his latest run, 35 days ago, in a Class 3, 2m½f handicap, he could return to form stepping back up in distance, dropping down in grade and having dropped to a mark only 3lbs above his last winning mark

Was below form in 4 runs in early 2025 (beaten 27+ lengths) but showed a hint of a return to form when 3rd of 11 in a Class 4 handicap in November (returning from a 7 months break) and taking a further step forwards next time out when getting to within 2¾ lengths of the winner in a Class 4 handicap, 35 days ago.
Although he has been raised 3lbs for his latest effort, he runs today off a mark 4lbs lower than when last winning (April 2024), so if continuing on an upwards curve, he can only benefit from a drop in grade today having his first run in a Class 5 handicap since Nov. 2023 (in which he beat a field of 10 by 5L)
