Ran up a sequence of 3 Class 4 handicap wins in July-Sept last year (2 over today’s C&D) and in only his 2nd run since then, 13 days ago & on returning from a 6 months break, he was beaten only 2½ lengths into 3rd despite not having a clear run over 1f out and also clipping heels 2f out.
If coming on for his 2nd run after a break and running off a mark only 3lbs higher than his last win, I think we could see a more competitive effort at a track where his record from 3 runs stands at 3/1/1

So in a game in which I am still considering whether Grimsby are worth backing at 1.75, for now I will go for a bet which may offer better value and that is both teams to score at odds of 1.70 (earlier meeting between these teams ended in a 2-2 draw)

but, with Middlesbrough having lost only 3 of their games while continuing to score goals I think a home win for them should be on the cards today considering Watford’s current run of 3 consecutive defeats to an aggregate score of 7-0 (and although Middlesbrough have not exactly been knocking in the goals in recent home games, I think as well as taking 1.44 for the home win it could pay to also back them on the AH with -1 goal at odds of about 1.60)

Ipswich have lost only 1 of their last 12 games, W7 D4 L1, and will be under pressure today to avoid defeat as 1 of the 4 teams fighting it out for the 2nd automatic promotion spot, but with the other 3 teams having played more games I think that although a win for Ipswich would be the ideal scenario, a draw would still see them move up into 2nd , so I think with West Brom having kept clean sheets in 6 of their last 7 games, the draw has to be the bet in this game
