Sitting 40 places above Haiti in the FIFA Rankings Scotland should come away with the 3pts from this game, but I think they could have a tough task on their hands if they don’t get an early goal, although I still think they should eventually come out on top. Haiti have played 4 friendlies in 2026, coming away with 1 win, 1 draw and 2 losses to only a 1 goal margin, with all 4 games having been played against teams rated higher than them, so although I am not tempted to back Scotland to take a wide margin win, I think 1.50 looks a price worth taking for them to come away with the win.

2 of Curacao’s 4 games this year were played against teams (FIFA) ranked 27th & 42nd and they came away with 2 losses to an aggregate score of 9-2 and they also lost 2-0 to China who sits 91st in the FIFA rankings. Germany are currently ranked 10th, 72 places above Curacao, and this should be a comfortable win for them to start off their group games, but with their win odds currently as short as 1.04, I reckon a win by a 4 or maybe a 5 goal margin could be on the cards, so it could pay to back them on the AH with -3.25 goals @ 1.82

Japan have been creeping up the FIFA rankings in the last few years and sit only 10 places below the Netherlands and they are one of the teams at higher odds (50/1) to win the competition who I think could put in a good run, so although they would have to step up a gear to take the win here I think they could take something from this game, therefore, I will chance a small stake on the draw @ 3.60 (and maybe under 2.5 goals at 1.91)

2 equally matched teams who could be fighting it out to finish second in the group behind the favourites Germany, so with a loss for either side leaving them with an uphill struggle to qualify I think we will see a very tight game with few goals and the draw could be the bet to go for @ 2.90 (plus a bet on under 1.5 goals at odds 2.40-2.50, with an option to trade out in play)

The fight for 2nd place in this group (assuming Germany top the group) looks to be between these 2 teams of equal ability, and as I reckon we will see a game with few chances, that I have already backed for the draw, I reckon under 2.5 goals could be a banker bet (with under 1.5 goals looking a could opportunity to do some trading in the first half)

Sweden qualified for the WC finals via the Nations League having ended bottom of their WC qualifying group with only 2pts from 6 games while scoring only 4 goals, so with their opening game of these WC finals coming against the team only 7 places below them in the FIFA rankings, I wouldn’t fancy having cash on them to win today. Tunisia’s WC qualifying games resulted in W9 1 L0 F22 A0, but, the opposition they faced were nowhere near to the standard they will be meeting over the next few days, so with their last 3 games (friendlies) having ended W0 D1 L2 F1 A6 (against teams ranked 9th - 30th ), I think we could see 2 teams lacking in confidence which could lead to a game of few goals, therefore, the only bet I would have confidence in would be under 2.5 goals @ 1.67

The last time that these 2 teams met (friendly), Nov. 2022, Egypt came away 2-1 winners and this was when Belgium sat 2nd in the FIFA rankings but since then have slowly dropped down to today’s 9th position. On the other hand, Egypt were ranked 40th when these last met and have since climbed up the rankings to 29th So, although Belgium are still 20 places ahead of Egypt I think this is another game which I think could be closer than the betting suggests and although there is a good chance that Belgium will take the 3pts, I will try a small stake on Egypt on the AH with +0.75 goals @ 2.15
