Is yet to win in seven starts but has gone close a couple of times. Latest runner-up at Santa Anita, now races for the first time at Fair Grounds, dropping slightly in class. Could get that breakthrough win now joined the Russell stable, who have a 31% win rate with new recruits. This colt is also the clear top power rated in the race.

Might be worth opposing the O'Brien fav as the stable are usually slow to get going early in the season. The one for me is this 3-y-o colt who improved on debut to be runner up at Galway last summer over 7f looking in need of further. This mile test now should suit. Stable are 21% at this track.

Has been raised 11lb, which looks harsh, but the trainer has a useful 10lb claimer now on board, so negates most of that extra weight. Won on heavy, so does need to handle this faster ground, but has a good chance of doing so.
