Ran well enough to a point in a 0-80 here last time out, without ever really looking likely to trouble the judge before Jim eased her through the last furlong. She may not get a more ambitious ride today from Tom but is carrying 3 lbs less today in a 0-70 with her yard in good form with a good record here. She needs to be ridden more forward than the norm from 11, but if so, really should figure in the finish at this level.

This lad will appreciate the more tender ground here today than when he was running over C&D last time out. In that race, he was away slowly, shaped nicely turning in before being a little cut up by one in front of him, and then not pushed at the finish. He is carrying 9 lbs less today in a weaker race for the grade from the same decent inside berth. Most of these have questions to answer, as this lad does too, but at the price, he is worth a spin each way.

Has been in better races than this throughout the summer and took well to this track earlier in the year over a mile. He has been kept at a mile since winning over that trip at Haydock and last time out at Wolves ran well enough given that he was 3 and 4 wide for much of the first lap. He will be latched onto the inside rail today from his low draw, and thus we can hope for better. So far, there is little to suggest that he will not get the extra 2 furlongs today.

Not sure if he should be an evens shot, so I would welcome a drift. He ran well on debut after being slowly away over a similarly undulating course. He was slightly hampered when beginning to be wound up but then stayed on well, and offers form at the most comparable setting to this.

This is a poor race with a weak favourite, but this lad seems overpriced to me. He was unlucky in running here last time out when shaping well before clipping heels and nearly falling 2f out. Rossa needs to be closer today than he was then anyway, as there is little pace on, but he should have every chance, having won in this level of race under the same heavy weight on the AW at Lingfield earlier this year.

I don't back 2YO who are trying to defy the penalty, and the form from Crown of Light's debut is not impressive. Similarly, there was little to be enthused about over Five Ways' and Go on My Son's debut, and as such, the selection took the eye. The trainer has had a great season with her younger horses, and whilst not as strong with debutants, they have a nice draw here and could be worth a spin at the price.

This should be fought out by the two who ran well on debut and now have their second try, the selection and Dandy Speed. The latter made the running on debut before fading late on and will be pestered today for the lead by a couple, whereas Dream More ran from the rear to close well late on in his debut and could come on to take this.

I found this a tricky race and ended up choosing between the selection and Sir Garfield. Aberama Gold has been running in better races than this, and his trainer and jockey combo are potent and were again for me at the weekend. 2YO races are never particularly appealing, and this one contains the usual quota of unknown competitors and changes in fortune. But Exhibitioning ran well enough over C&D on debut, when given a fairly tender ride and running on strongly late on, having shaped well. She was beaten by Gwen John, who finished runner-up that day, and they oppose each other again here. Whilst Gwen John is the favourite, the selection is 14/1, and on the basis of coming on for that experience, I am happy to throw some change at that price.
