The form is strong from his last run when finishing third, with the fourth-placed that day going in twice since and the sixth-placed horse also winning. He had no luck in running that day with a poor ride from Jack Garrity. It is hugely debatable if Warren Fentiman is any type of improvement, but he does at least take 5 lbs off. The favourite took weight from most of the field when winning a novice LTO and now gives weight to all. I am keen to take them on with this lad.

The form from this horse's previous races is ridiculously high, and he had no luck in running last time out at Southwell but stayed on well for fourth. A better jockey is on board today, and I think he is overpriced.

Ran impressively when she returned from a break at Limerick on Boxing Day, and the form from that race has been franked since, with the winner going in again, chased home by the horse that was sixth on Boxing Day. She will enjoy the testing nature of the ground and has always run well on galloping tracks. The jockey is a concern but has had over 200 rides and is taking 7 lb off, so I hope he will not hamper her too much.

This might be a flight of fancy on my part, but there are enough factors to make this horse a small each-way play. He beat the second favourite tomorrow comfortably last time they met and is 3 lb better off this time around. The favourite beat that horse by just half a length LTO, so again Mighty Ruler has the stronger form. Whilst I am not delighted by the outside draw, it is not a disaster here over this trip. This is the weakest race this horse has run in to date, and they are running off a career-low mark. This is his third run after a break and could be the time to strike.

He has been in fair form this season, and this is a weaker race than the three he has contested so far. A winner in April in a slightly better race, carrying 4 lbs less than today, I think he is a decent each-way play.

As ever with these races, the gamble is as much on the jockey on top as it is on the horse. We are no worse off than any other with this lad. Ney will enjoy the worsening ground and has won over this trip and further. He is well treated when reopposing five rivals here, and his plummeting mark, plus the 7 lbs taken off by the claimer, make him a decent price here.

The selection beat Brucejack by 24 lengths on their respective season debuts, and the circumstances of today's race are in his favour here. He was a little disappointing in his first hcap LTO, but that mark is not a factor today. Of greater concern is Sean's weak record in chases here, but there is little else to choose from in the field.

A typically tricky renewal of this race, but I am siding with this lad of the Skeltons. They have won the last two runnings of this race, and this horse is progressive, proven at this type of trip, and unexposed. He has hung left but he cannot do that today in the straight. As he will be held up and coming through, horses may overcome that somewhat.

She is carrying a featherweight today, up in class from her last win. Despite the wide draw (did win from wider under Rossa here), her record at the track and the circumstances of the race in terms of profiling her results are enough for me. She is drifting, which doesn't bother me, but I will wait for the bigger price.

There is not much quality in this race with an opposable favourite, and this handicap debutant caught the eye. The winner of its last race (a maiden) was rated 72, and this lad was only a couple of lengths down. The 7th place in that race was fourth, and a length down. The draw could have been kinder, but if they break well there is a decent chance.

Needs to be more to the tune of 3 or 4/1 to be a bet for me but he ran well enough at Newcastle lto when the pace bias favoured those coming from the rear and stuck it out well enough to encourage. He drops 2 lbs here and this is a much weaker race than that one, whilst I am never deliriously happy about the jockey he has a good record here up to a mile and there is enough to make this one of interest pending the price.

A winner over this trip on turf, this horse ran well here a month ago over 2 miles before fading. Now dropped in trip, he has every chance if he can get an uncontested lead and Jack Mitchell rides him intelligently. The yard is flying in every regard at the moment, and he has every chance here in an open race.

The only entrant in the race where both horse and rider have won a hands-and-heels race in their careers. He is well drawn to go forward and make the running. Whilst a maiden on AW, his recent runs have been encouraging. The favourite is very short, and this one goes at a decent price currently.

Ran well enough returning from a break here LTO and is drawn far better this time round. This is also a weaker race than that was, based on the average ratings. A course-and-distance winner twice in slightly better races than this, a win today will be an AW career best in terms of rating, but they edge it for me, with Flying Fletcher feared most and taken for the forecast.

Ran well in a bumper here on debut in a race where the form has worked out. He faded up the hill at Chepstow over a longer trip than today but compares well enough to the favourite over the same course but shorter in their only hurdles race. The Fry horse is unseen by me over an obstacle, and the Henry Daly horse laboured to fourth at Carlisle in a race where the form isn't electric. 10s or thereabouts is about right.
