Has started this season promisingly and followed up his win in his first run of the term with a decent showing at Chelmsford. Hampered turning in, he stayed on well on a surface which he hasn't particularly enjoyed previously. The trainer is in good form and Danny continues to prove reliable. The soft ground is a question, but the horse's action suggests that it will not be as disadvantaged as most of the field.

Not my favorite jockey by a long way, but stats-wise he is doing nothing wrong currently. This horse has run well on testing ground and over this longer trip, and this is his first chance to do so on soft or worse. Held up, he could pick up the pieces as others fade, pending the ride.

Soft ground under top weight is not for the faint-hearted, but the selection has the best form in the race under these conditions and has sunk to a tasty mark through a nondescript AW campaign. Likely to be held up, we don't want to be miles off when it gets going.

A grand servant to the yard and the game, this lad has a record of winning at least once every season that he has competed. The soft ground that he likes at a course where he has won and been placed previously probably presents the best chance he will have this year. He is now 2 lbs under the winning mark when he ran here last August and will be bold and forward, defying those behind to catch him.

Pretty open affair, and this horse ran well this season on turf and now runs on the AW in its lowest AW mark to date. A winner here over a much shorter trip earlier in her career, she has a reasonable mid-stall draw and should be there in the mix at the end.
