Cam is a lovely lad and rides work on a young horse we have with Emma, and is improving all the time in his race riding. This horse has improved in his handicaps all season while his mark has continued to drop, so he has a good chance here against a couple of fancied opponents who are now a long way from their last winning marks.

The form from this horse's two runs over a similar trip recently is strong. I think he found the extra distance at Sedgefield LTO too far. Isabelle Ryder is much improved and takes a useful 5 lbs back off to, in effect, bring him back to the mark of his sole win from eight starts to date. He may get into a battle for the lead with Despereaux, but that horse is carrying 12 lbs more than when winning here LTO by half a length.
