Alsakib won a Group 3 on the flat for Andrew Balding in July 2024. He ran well on debut, and the step up in trip looks to be a positive. I think the favorite is flattered by finishing second behind Mydaddypaddy, who won in a canter. The selection receives 7 lb from Kosac D'oudairies, and that too is a positive.

Got no luck in running last time out. She was just starting to make a move when she ran out of room and got snatched up on handicap debut, and that was the race over. With the benefit of a run and better luck in running, I can see victory number 2!

Billy Loughnane has a good chance tonight of multiple winners, mainly favourites. However, I like the chances of his biggest-priced runner of the night. Lodge won on debut at Ffos Las in August last year, then finished second at Windsor a few weeks later. Handicap debut tonight, and the fact Brian Meehan has booked Billy is a huge positive. Ash Wednesday looks the main danger.

Protektorat bolted up in this race last year and will have been trained to do so again. Ran a cracking race first time up this season at Cheltenham under a big weight. Conditions of this race suit much better. Great chance.
