He is a former Norfolk winner and has been running at sprint distances until upped to a mile and beating a few decent horses in easy style last time out. Murray stated that he put it to bed very early and was impressed with the run. David Egan takes the ride as usual for AMO Racing. He, of course, has plenty of opposition here, so it should be a good race.

I think this is a tricky race with Baltic and Arrange dangerous. I also think that this price is false and he should be lower in the betting than this. 9/2 would be about right. Lady La Fay makes her seasonal debut, but there are many questions still to be answered about her as she has only run a handful of times in her career. If she settles, then she will relish the 12f and can ask questions of the others.

This son of Dubawi was a 140,000 euro purchase last summer from a top French yard to David O'Meara. He has had one race (last summer) for his new yard and flopped in soft/heavy going, but his two previous races in France give optimism that he may be above his handicap mark. A wind operation over the winter will help with his breathing, so I'm taking a chance on him with decent chances. King Chaos and Cadarn are in the mix.

Outrace is one of those selections that after he wins, you look back and think, 'Oh yeah, should've seen that.' This is what I have seen. He is the fastest horse in the speed ratings over the last six months. He last won in November wearing cheekpieces for the first time. Today, he wears blinkers for the first time. He has appeared at Bath twice, finishing 1st and 2nd. When he won, he was ridden by this jockey and was rated at 69. Today, he is rated at 61. Richard Hannon is the top trainer here in this race. The track has been ventidrained in early March, and last month there was little rainfall, so any rain isn't going to change the surface - this is a big bonus. He has many dangers in the race, which is a good sign as the pace will be strong.
