Decent effort on reappearance when fourth behind the Derby winner and finished in front of a next-time-out winner. Stable second string on jockey bookings, but certainly wouldn't be the first time that the "outsider" from that stable won.

The price is a bit of a worry, as it shouldn't be this big after such a good run last time in the Chester Cup.doesn't have the best draw, but it didn't last time either. was a bit keen last time, so this drop back in trip could be ideal.could be hard to peg back if left alone in front again.

So far tonight Dave Allen has been pathetic. Should've won the 7:10 on the fav but was stuck at the back and tamely ridden. Not exactly his most vigorous in the 7:42 either. This horse ran okay last time out and is 2 lbs lower here and dropping in class to a 6. Should at least go close if effort is made.

In good form last summer with a win and four seconds. Still 3lbs above his last winning mark, but one of the seconds was off 2lbs higher. First two runs in maidens were reasonable efforts when second and third at this venue. Stable amongst the winners, and this horse could easily take one of the four places on offer after two recent runs to get fit.

Should have a decent each-way chance.

Both his wins have been over this 6f trip, and the latest of those was in a Class 5 handicap off a mark of 70. Now drops into a Class 6 for the first time off a career low mark of just 64. Surely must at least make the frame for his in form stable.
