I am a bit dubious about this year's quality and I give an each-way chance to a big price. Recent wins have been R.H. but boasts a (c) win. A good jockey booked. Age 7 is OK, and won last time when upped in trip. Going looks OK. A big day for the stable. Stede Bonnet took my each-way money. 16/1 has had a bit of support. It remains to be seen if that's maintained.

Last year's winner tries again. It could be time for a new kid, yet last year's 1-2 are prominent in the betting. It's On The Line is a tricky ride. Ridden prominently last year, it nearly paid off, but you're never sure with him. He can be unwilling yet has ability. Wonderwall can run well fresh. Good jockey, going OK. It's a good turnout. They don't hang about despite the weight being carried. Panda Boy also got my money at 6/1. It has to be a light betting heat but a great race to watch.

The in-form stayer in the race and it could be the front two will empty. Top jockey rides and 9 y.o. is a good age for the winner. 11/2 is only just an each-way bet, again playing safe. There's still a chance he could get mugged. Has seen money ??" 6/1 taken. It's hard to find proper value in the race at this stage and the standard this year has a question mark. This has been the aim all season; hoping the trainer has him peaked for it. Native River, Master Oats, Burrough Hill Lad all won the Welsh National.

Has won top races this season with ease, one being at Cheltenham. She gets a useful few pounds from Dinoblue, who won a soft race latest, and I doubt she could have won the same races as my tip. There's been plenty of rain today where I live. Some of that would aid her chances. This Grade 2 is a different type of race, and a slow-run affair would not suit. It's not just a two-horse race, but given her achievements I thought 3/1 offered me some value.

It's not often you see a Grade 2 winner carrying bottom weight ??" 10.4 next run ??" and going off at a big price. Top jockey rides. Some rain would help. Recent wins have been R.H.; this is not. A sporting outsider who would have to be at her best, but the time for the last win was good. Only pennies needed for this one.

Impressed me winning over (c/d) and looked a class above. The jockey did his best to give a kind ride but had a tight hold. A lovely big horse that wasn't allowed to make use of a long stride for much of the race. This is a better race, offering more potential, and 6/1 is only just an each-way price, but I think it's playing safe and being sensible. Was allowed to race 2 out and showed what he can do. Jockey is smart, going OK. Maestro Conti also took my each-way money. Mullins pair ??" front two ??" are feared but currently too short.

Most of the runners have 11.0 or more, so 11.9, while not ideal, doesn't put me off. Again, chasing each-way value ??" has a good jockey. A consistent 7-y.o. novice making handicap debut after trying Grade 3 ??" that alone ticks boxes. Although a big field, it seems to lack the quality of past years. I thought 18/1 was worth a bet while still trying to balance the racecard between long and short prices.

A few of these would want proper soft ground which aids his cause as current ground should be ok for him.A 40 day break is fine and 6.y.o is a good age for this. With 10.11 i say hes well weighted, has a good jockey and being a multiple winner should not put you off,14/1 offers e.w. value.Has shown a good mix of both speed and stamina on fast tracks. His best form is R.H. and this isn't so faces a big test but has done enough to get into this without being hammered by the h'capper, certainly 2 ways of looking at his chances. Its an open race, chasing e.w. value on a race card that has too many short prices

Not a great race for horses older than nine, and course winners have to be respected. Battle-hardened this season and peaked with a good win last time. Loves it round here, and I'm hoping that good form will hold for this. Last year's win was a joy to watch. Some rain would aid his cause. I do respect the opposition, and there is an ease in the market for the favourite despite being the highest rated. I haven't backed yet; I am playing poker with his odds.

With absentees, Wodhooh has been gifted the race (C/D). Coming back from a break is ideal. Top jockey. She has achieved a lot and is still a young mare. Odds are short??"one for a free bet. Keep an eye on bookmakers who may offer a boost. The Irish have made this race their own, and she is rated 4 lb or more above anything else.

Strongly ridden to win last time, making all ??" doesn't have to. That was a Listed race, so takes a hike in class here. Has same jockey. The win at Catterick was in a good time, and it's hinted will stay further. French, I like ??" unbeaten in 3 runs and gets a nice 4 y.o. allowance. You could argue market leaders would prefer soft ground, and the favourite is small, not ideal for jumping. My each-way bet, initial, is small, and backing a few on the card at big prices allows a bet on a favourite or two. In other words, trying to cover all bases. Manganese is a sporting outsider.

First look and chasing a bit of each-way value ??" my tip and Adragoole took my money. Both ran well in a big field. The beast is better off at the weights, lighter-raced, to be exact ??" two runs, no wins this season and a 2nd and a (bf). Bottom weights have a fair record in this, and both horses are consistent. I find the first-time hood interesting. The race has an open look and a good renewal. There's no shame in backing a few. For now I will stick with two.

Soft or heavy ground looks the key for the fav and L'eau du Sud, while the opposite applies to my tip, who has seen money. Has had a break. 8 y.o. is a good age for this, and he would be odds-on but for falling. A small horse who has speed and stamina. Just like Majborough, the fences are the main rival. We have to put a line through the last run, but 5/1 caused a bet. Perhaps a market check on the fav.

A limited handicap that favours the top two. I have backed both. Stumptown is the champ ??" a difficult ride, not always willing, but the jockey rides him well. By contrast, my tip is a straightforward ride for a top jockey, and the trainer's record in this is good. He is enjoying a better season. Favori is a veteran but never been better. He gets a useful 5 lb and his time over (c/d) was faster than Stumptown.

11/1 looks a nice e/w price. Down in grade and fairly treated. 7 y.o. have won this. Trainer is fond of the race, French-bred, and 11/3 ticks boxes. I think the two runs this season will put him right. Trainer is mob-handed. All have a chance on their best form. A clean round of jumping is needed. Should cope with the ground.

Going looks fine. Given a lesson making all last time, didn't look happy ??" seems better with something to aim at. Had a break and is freshened up for this. Sober took my e.w. money.

Doncaster run was a blip, and if this was Haydock 14/1 would look good. 14/1 offers good each-way value. Proven at the trip and a novice who has beaten seasoned chasers. Looks fairly treated. A blip at Doncaster and both wins at Haydock suggest some doubt about this track, but that's factored into the price. Has a good jockey and the going looks OK. Money for Iceberg Theory ??" a bit short now but perhaps a morning price will cause a bet.

I haven't tipped an Irish horse yet ??" clearly wrong. De Bromhead has a great Cheltenham record. This one is a novice A (C/D). It has a nice low weight compared with its last run, and 11/1 looks a fair each-way price. French-bred I take as a positive, and it doesn't look a strong renewal ??" many with question marks.

Sweeping statements - Lossiemouth is running in the wrong race. Brighter Days hates the track. Tutti was trained for a big race at Newbury, a track which suited; this is an afterthought. New Lion is too short, better over 2m1/2. Leaves Golden Ace, 2 lucky Grade 1 wins but a spring horse. 10/1 got my E/W money. 6 y.o. is a good age for a Champion Hurdle. Alexei is a (c/d) and coming back quickest to the track after a win has seen success; this track will suit better. This racecard will throw up some good prices. A value hunt is needed after backing a few short prices.

Did have a Triumph Hurdle entry, and I admit to following this one. Has had two soft rides ??" Nico rides for the first time and questions will be asked here. Would not want the ground to dry out. Three career runs for this are ideal. Mark Walsh is a good judge for owners' rides, and I have backed Saratoga, but the owner often gives Nico a shout if Henderson trains. 15/2 offered a bit of each-way value. I am betting on potential.

At the moment Kopek is favourite. Suits me. Time figures suggest he should win, but he was hammered at Punchestown after winning the Supreme. Comes here on the back of an injury and lacks chase experience. Lulamba looked in need of another run in the Triumph Hurdle ??" a bit keen. Matters were put right at Punchestown. Gained experience this season; last time beating seasoned chasers, briefly outpaced. The race was run fast on testing ground and he had to be ridden. Newbury fences are not easy, and in the end those injecting speed in the race gave way and the wide-margin winner may have been flattered. Worth noting another highly promising novice in that race finished last. This race offers quality but poor odds. Steel Ally looks the value horse, but jumping right is hard to watch.

Kicking off with a likely favourite. The race reminds me of Altior and Min. Altior proved to be the best horse, had gained experience, and was a multiple winner (c/d). Min was very lightly raced with a big reputation. It remains to be seen if Old Park Star and Mighty Park are in that class. My tip is a multiple winner, a (c) winner, and has proven speed. The last race was a lesson at Haydock ??" made all and was ridden to produce a fast time. A good time was also achieved for the previous win. The going will suit, and a good jockey is smart enough to lie handy if a horse goes like a 5f sprinter. 11/4 taken.
