Hi I target the biggest horse races of the week (both codes) using historical trends, comparing the stats of previous winners and narrowing the field finding the value bet. I also use my own personal notes and information from my tracker as I stat-profile thoroughbreds throughout the week for my own personal enjoyment. I recommend a 40 point betting bank, simple 1 point win bets or 0.5 point e/w bets and I try and get the earliest possible price on BOG often placing my bets at 8am in the morning or 2 days earlier if I want to grab the price. My process is a patient bank building method that builds profit steadily over the year and not to mention the fun involved. These are the biggest races of the week and provide hours of entertainment on a race day. I stake sensibly, all my tips are 1 point win or 0.5 point e/w bets. I’m not a high roller, I’m a family man who enjoys betting on racing and spend any extra cash I make on my young family although I do spend a lot of time and effort doing this and take my betting very seriously. The fillies performed decently in listed races this year, losing by a neck 2/3 times. The yard was out of form until getting 2 winners yesterday, including a Bath winner for Rob Hornby, who gets the ride today. The owners are shrewd as well, and they've finished top 3 in over a third of races with their 3-year-old runners at this track.

The trainer/jockey combo had success in this race in 2017 with the 4-year-old Maasaat. The yard has put on a tongue tie this time. Despite underwhelming in the last 3 runs, the gelding won a listed race at Haydock 4 starts ago and has decent Group 1 form as a 2-year-old. The price is big enough to take an each-way chance on a trainer who's running at a high win-place strike rate this month.

She's lightly raced with only 4 starts. 3 of those were in Class 1, so she's got expectations despite her huge price. I can't ignore an e/w poke at this huge price in a race that's historically thrown up big-priced winners.

She's been threatening to win a class 1 race since her maiden win last June, and this could be her best chance.

Some bookies are paying 4 places, and out of the gelding's 19 starts at the track, he's only finished outside the top 4 on 3 of those occasions. The cheekpieces go back on after 2 starts using unsuitable headgear, and he's won twice with cheekpieces. The trainer's had previous success in the race with Ebro River, although that was a much classier horse. The selection's course form can't be ignored.

The jockey was on board the 50/1 winner Junkanoo in this race 5 years ago, and the selection is a big price with 1 bookie paying 7 places. He's placed on every start between 8 furlongs and 10.5 furlongs and had excuses last time out over 12 furlongs on his handicap debut. Although that wasn't a disaster as he finished well, dropping back to 10 furlongs goes in his favor. The 25/1 is far too big to ignore, especially with the sire's 3-year-olds firing over similar distances.

James Doyle is back on board, and he was in the saddle 5 starts ago when the colt last won. The jockey also has a good strike rate over 7 furlongs at the festival. The colt impressed last time out at Sandown on his second handicap start, and he's worth an each-way chance in this big field.

Another 3-year-old colt with an e/w chance is Beckett's runner, who finished down the field in the Britannia Stakes LTO. But this class 3 is far easier. The trainer has a decent w/p strike rate at the track, and the colt remains unbeaten in all his races at this level and below, as well as a 2 y/o win at this festival last year over C+D.

Currently, a really fair price at 8/1, especially with a trainer who's had a previous winner in the race. The filly's previous races have produced subsequent winners and performers in class 1 races and handicaps. Excusing her last start, she impressed in listed company 2 starts ago, and the price is likely to shorten before the race starts.

Ran an impressive 5th in the Sandringham LTO, and that's good prep for this race. Plenty of winners usually come out of that, and the trainer does well at this festival.
