HAMISH is a seasoned professional and happy with soft ground so should be well suited to conditions here today. This Haggas trained gelding has reappeared as a winner first time out in each of his last 4 seasons (all of them group 3 races) so I would expect him to do the same again here in the lesser listed race.

FINE INTERVIEW was a beaten favourite 8 days ago and disappointing but still plenty of talent there from first run of the season where he came 3rd on good ground. Today should be more favourable soft conditions, and his record over soft ground is 1121 so should be more suited to him today. James Doyle takes his only ride of the day on this.

RILING COURT took the 2000 guineas from deep and ran on well to prove he's got more left in the tank. Buick is bidding to become the first jockey to win the first 3 majors of the season having already picked up the first 2, and RULING COURT is looking to be another top colt (and potential sire) to complete the Guineas - Derby double after top sires Camelot and Sea The Stars. Big chance if the ground stays dry.

SWEET FANTASTIC has won over this distance this year with a strong RPR for this field and equally strong as the favourite despite being 3lbs lower. Form figures of 3313 over 7f in his career so far and has been fairly consistent - if he can find a gap here then he should be in the picture each way.

Both trainer and jockey are in fine form with Oisin Murphy having a win rate of 32% in the last 14 days. The favourite in this event is making handicap debut and hasn't shown anything of quality on turf yet so conditions won't be favourable, whereas both wins for this pick have come on good to soft (if the rain comes in) and the rest of placed efforts have been on good.

POLE STAR has the best form in the field and the top jockey Buick on board to boost his chances here. Buick has a win rate of 31% in the last 14 days and this Teofilo colt has picked up RPRs of 80+81 in his only 2 starts which is 10-20 clear of the rest of the field. I expect Buick to sit in and take this race clear.

The winner that day won 4 lengths clear in a class 5 handicap since so the form looks handy enough to win here. James Doyle takes the ride for the first time and is in good form winning 21% of races in the last 14 days so is also another plus!

PORTA FORTUNA has been magnificent over 1m with European form figures of 2111 over that distance. Only time she came 2nd was when reappearing in the 1000 guineas last year where she lost by a neck. She certainly sets the standard with no other horse coming close to her RPR ratings and she's already brought in £1.3m in prize money so absolutely dwarves the rest of the field. With Moore on board, she should be nailed on.

FIELD OF GOLD was runner up in the 2000 guineas and now has sights set for the Irish 2000 guineas! Has 2 good runs this season both at Newmarket and both showing a better quality than the rest on show here today, so I make him my NAP of the day.
