The form of this horse has a really solid look to it with two wins, three seconds, and a third place in his last six runs. It's interesting that his trainer has left him in, having taken two out at Town Moor today due to going concerns. I'm not keen on the favorite Jer Batt. Not to say he won't win, but he's been 1st or 2nd favorite for all five of his starts this term and has lost them all.

Current odds of 4-1 look decent value for a horse which has four wins from seven this year. I just watched her last win again, and though the winning margin was less than a length, it actually looked as if she had plenty left in the tank. Provided the wider draw today isn't a problem, she looks the one to beat.

Looks a viable each-way alternative to the favorite, and his bare form figures probably don't do justice to how well he's been running. Fifth last time, for example, but only lost by a length and a quarter in a £51K class two at York. I like the favorite's chances, but this one should be thereabouts too.

Showed a good attitude when winning a £100K race over at Deauville. Nice time and actually looked like he should get a bit further. Even so, proven form over seven is also a plus, and he looks to me to have the strongest form credentials of the reasonably fancied ones here.

He didn't disgrace himself on that occasion. This looks his easiest task since entering the handicap ranks, and he has been getting closer to winning with each run.

The biggest question mark is whether he can bounce back from a poor run in the Stewards' Cup last time, having won the Wokingham the time before. The trainer's rep told the stewards last time that the ground was too slow, hence the subpar run. If so, then today things should go much, much better.

Vape won just yesterday at Windsor on today's going, but presumably his canny trainer feels he's up to running and presumably making a bold show again. He has won over course and distance before, and his trainer does well here. If the horse is fully recovered, he should go really close again.
