He makes his handicap debut off an OR of 100 and crucially drops back to 10f after being campaigned in Group/Listed races at 11-12f this summer, which never really suited him. Solid pick on the polytrack - she arrives in peak form after a short-head second over 1m at Brighton 25 days ago, which came off the back of a July win. Returning to the AW holds no fear given she's had prior polytrack success. The partnership with 5lb claimer Tommie Jakes is retained, she stays the trip well and her current mark looks workable in this small Class 6 - always give her best.

North Star is a fair play, considering her price today. The unexposed 3yo is a Sea the Stars filly and has shaped well in two small field handicaps at this distance (third at Nottingham and Salisbury), suggesting there's more to come off a workable mark of 76 with the 3yo 6lb WFA advantage in this 0-80. His latest poor form came on firm ground at Yarmouth. Today's good to soft going should be kinder to him. He's drawn in stall 1, which is no bad thing around Windsor's mile. He looks a race-fit, trier of a horse, so this Windsor mile looks a good fit for him. He brings placed form (3rd and 2nd). The recent 2nd at Catterick is where he raced keenly and still held off the rest behind a runaway winner. Dropping from 1m4f to 1m today should help him travel better and quicken more efficiently. Key rivals include likely market leader Livonian and newcomers from powerful yards, but Livonian's best effort came on the AW, and this twisty mile can reward experience. Trainer Dylan Cunha is enjoying a solid season (14% strike rate), and the early tissues leave In The Post around double figures in price, which looks workable against a field with plenty to prove at this distance.
