Milford has been a bit of a disappointment for me since scoring in very impressive style on debut a year ago. He was agood third in a Class 1 Listed on final run last season before changing yards. Showed in inkling of a return to form when a headed close home third of fourteen at York last month. It will be interesting to see how he handles this tight track.

I day say Willie Mullins will have done his homework and have the horse ready for hurdles debut.

To be honest, there are four horses in here which I'm torn between, namely Time Patrol, Cooperation, and two from my MTF notes, Bint Havana Gold and Under Curfew. As I've napped the latter E.W., I'm going for Cooperation on the nose because, although a disappointing seventh of eight last time out, he won with a bit in hand previous to that.

The 9-year-old Under Curfew certainly has had a busy career with 91 runs so far. Stats show 9 wins (7 on turf) and 27 places (16 on turf). His Brighton stats over the years show four 3rd places from just five runs, with the last 3rd being over 5.3f where he was found short of room and keeping on. That was just his third outing on turf since last September following 15 consecutive AW runs. The trainer has been in fair form recently with 5 wins and 8 places from his last 40 runners, whilst 7lb claimer M L Slayter has ridden 6 places from 19 in his short career. Could be thereabouts.

Reportedly took a false step over C&D sixteen days ago on yard debut, so connections must be confident in bringing him back today. Trainer Faye Bramley has got off to a wonderful start in her career with four winners and five places from only eleven runs and I think it's about time jockey Edward Greatrix had another winner as it's 25 rides since his last winner.

In Excelsis Deo had a fine 2022 and 2023 with Harry Fry but went off the boil last year, only beating one horse in his last four runs, which included a pulled-up and unseated rider. Owner J P McManus has probably said enough is enough and has moved the 7-y-o to Enda Bolger's yard. The stable is in good form of late with five winners and eight places from their last forty runners (four winners from the last ten). Jockey K E Buckley has been in fine form too with six winners and seven places from his last forty rides. I wish I knew the trainer's record with new additions, but if he can get In Excelsis Deo right, we could witness a resurgence. I'll never forget the horses 3rd of 11 at Cheltenham where he bounded up the hill, so I think he'll be well suited to Punchestown's gradual rise to the finish.Is TS and RPR top-rated on old form.

Although still a maiden over fences, Spanish Harlem has a hurdle win to his credit when winning on debut in France. He hasn't exactly set the world alight since joining Willie Mullins, but he has run two seconds and three thirds during the last two seasons. Hinted as though he's getting there with a seven-length fourth in a Class 1 at Sandown on latest run.
