The favorite might need the run a bit after a layoff, so this one, which was beaten favorite over further last time, still ran a good race. Drop back in trip should help and has been running consistently. Hasn't got to improve much on form, if any, to be able to take this.

Has the beating of the main rivals here on all runs so far, so should just have to run to that form to take this.

Good effort last time when getting badly squeezed at the start. Changed trainers and track since, and could give the favorite a race here.

Fancied in the market when behind a couple of these last time, but lost a fair bit of ground after hopping at the start. Made up plenty of that ground, so as that was just its third run and it had a long layoff, it should be able to improve plenty for the run. A better start today will help.

Can't knock recent efforts. Running consistently well, having main market rival Drill Blitz behind in the latest two runs. Should confirm that form if running to the same standard.

Looks drawn for a good run up the rail. So with in-form apprentice taking off 7lb, should go well at a decent enough price at 4/1.

Can only see this or Sovereignty winning, and there are good arguments for both. Just think this is the classier horse and shouldn't find trouble in this smaller field, which cost it winning the Kentucky Derby. Taking it on trust that the trainer wouldn't run it today if he thought it might be jaded from a brilliant Preakness win. If there were to be a surprise winner, I think it would probably be from either of the front runners, Rodriguez or Crudo, if they went slow up front, but don't really see that happening.

Seems to be on the improve since being ridden a bit more patiently just behind the pace, winning the last two nicely. Having said that, there doesn't look to be much early pace in this race, so it might find itself in front anyway. If that happens, it might be able to go steady and stack them up anyway.

Pulled hard over a mile last time when finishing a decent 2nd. Previously, had the two main rivals today behind over CD when probably needing the run. Should be hard to beat.

Looks a fair enough price at 9/2. Probably because the trainer hasn't got a great strike rate. Last three runs have been on turf, one over too far, so best to ignore that. The other two have been decent efforts in better-looking races than this. Went well on the Tapeta on debut for the previous trainer when finishing a close 3rd, so the switch back to Tapeta and drop in grade looks a good move.

Slightly easier looking task today, so should just have to run up to recent efforts to take this. Last run was a good time for the grade, should be hard to beat.
