Sean Bowen did the business for me on board Haiti Coleurs yesterday, so I'm sticking with him to bring Axel Bleue home in front today. In 2025, Axel Bleue has raced five times, winning twice and finishing second three times. His two wins came on good to soft, and soft, whilst his three seconds all came on good ground. The two wins came in bumper races, and his last two races were over hurdles where he was not disgraced. Today, Sean takes over from his brother James in the saddle. This will be his first trip to Exeter, and I'm taking Axel Bleue to win at the first time of asking now in handicap company.

Palmeiras are flying high at the top of the table whilst Santos are currently in the relegation zone. They have taken twenty-two points from their last eight home games and have beaten Santos the last couple of times they have met.

20:00 Rangers v Roma

Rangers

This looks an attractive price for a Rangers win. Since their new manager took charge, they have played four games, winning two and losing two. Neither side has been in good form in this competition, with Rangers losing all three games and Roma losing two and winning one. Rangers put up a decent performance against Celtic for the first ninety minutes of their match at the weekend before losing in extra time to Celtic. With Roma losing away at AC Milan in their last game, I'm willing to go for the home side to register their first win in this season's competition.
20:00 Viktoria Plzen v Fenerbahce

Viktoria Plzen

After three games played it is Viktoria Plzen who is the higher of the two teams in the table. They are on seven points with Fenerbahce one point behind on six. Viktoria Plzen have won five of their last seven home games including the two Europa League games which saw them beat Malmo by three goals and Rangers by one goal. Fenerbahce lost their last Europa League game away at Dinamo Zagreb.
17:45 Midtjylland v Celtic

Celtic

With Martin O'Neil back at the helm in charge of Celtic, they could end the winning start that Midtjylland have made to this competition. Providing Celtic can build upon their win against Celtic at the weekend, there is every chance that they could do a smash and grab raid against Midtjylland.
17:45 SK Sturm Graz v Nottm Forest

SK Sturm Graz

This season Nottingham Forest have played seven away games resulting in four defeats and three draws. In this competition, SK Sturm Graz have only won one of the three games they have played. That win came against Rangers. They also won at home in a Champions League qualifier game against Bodo/Glimt. With three wins in their last five home games, they look worth an interest.

Last season, Haiti Couleurs ran six times, but only one of those was over hurdles where he finished third over today's course and distance. His first race of last season saw him finish second, and his last race of the season saw him win the Irish Grand National. His regular jockey, Sean Bowen, is on board for today's race. He is a decent horse and could be worth following now, reverting back to hurdles.

Spindleberry appears to be another Willie Mullins 'good thing' on today's card at Clonmel. She won all her three races last season, and the ground should hold no concerns, having won previously on soft and soft to heavy going. Following defeat in their opening Premiership match, Manchester City have gone on to play five home games and won them all. This included a win against Napoli in the Champions League. When playing at home Man City have won the last two times when they have welcomed Dortmund.
20:00 Marseille v Atalanta

Marseille

Two sides who could do with some points. After three games played, Atalanta are seventeenth on four points and Marseille one place lower on three points. Atalanta are struggling to find a win. In their last six games, they have drawn five and lost once. The game they lost was their last away game, which was at Udinese. Since the start of the season, Marseille have played six home games, which have resulted in five wins and one draw. In three of those games, they kept a clean sheet, which were against PSG, Lorient, and in the Champions League, Ajax. With Atalanta only taking two points from their last three away games, there is every chance Marseille will leapfrog Atalanta in the table by getting the win.
19:45 Woking v Southend

Southend

In their last three National League games, Southend have been in fine form. They won all three matches, scoring a total of eight goals and conceding none. Another clean sheet tonight would enhance their chance of another away success.
19:00 Cambridge Utd v Brighton U21

Trojan Sun appears to be an improving five-year-old gelding trained by Jim Goldie. He won a two-mile race at Musselburgh back in July and since then has made good progress. Trojan Sun has won his last two races, one over two miles and one a little further. Those two races were on good and heavy going. With the forecasted ground conditions, Trojan Sun could complete the hat trick off a mark of seventy-seven, which is eighteen pounds higher than his winning mark in July.

20:00 Liverpool v Real Madrid

Real Madrid

From the results that Liverpool have produced this season, they do not appear to be nearly as strong as they were when winning last season's Premiership title. Real Madrid continue to look as strong as ever, which included a recent win at home to Barcelona. In this season's Champions League, they have played three games and won them all, whilst Liverpool have two wins and one defeat. On their last three visits to Liverpool, Real Madrid have won twice and lost once.
20:00 PSG v Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich

Having lost to PSG in the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup competition in July, taking Bayern Munich to exact their revenge. PSG have been less than convincing in their last two home games, which saw them gain a narrow one-goal win against Nice and draw with Strasbourg. Both of those teams are outside the top six in the French league. Meanwhile, the Bayern Munich winning machine continues to roll on. Since that defeat to PSG, Bayern Munich have played seventeen games and won them all. Having scored nineteen goals in their last five away games, taking Bayern Munich to add another win to their impressive tally.

Back in September Pol Rodger ran two races over the mile distance and finished second in each. His two subsequent races have been over further and his best place was fourth. He drops back down to seven furlongs today which will hopefully make him much more competitive. In his second race of his career he did win over seven furlongs at Haydock on good to soft ground. 20:00 Sunderland v Everton

Sunderland

Sunderland have been the surprise team of the new season and are fourth in the table. They have won their last two games, which included a win away at Chelsea. With Everton losing their last two games, taking Sunderland to continue their fine form.
19:45 Lazio v Cagliari

Lazio

One place and three points separate these two teams after nine games, with Lazio occupying the higher position. They have beaten Cagliari the last five times they have met. Having won their last home game against Juventus, I am taking Lazio to once again beat Cagliari.
19:30 Tamworth v Leyton Orient

Tamworth

Last season, Tamworth reached the third round of the FA Cup where they faced Spurs at home. They rose to the occasion, and it took extra time before the Premiership side finally sealed the deal. With Leyton Orient losing their last three away games, if the Tamworth players can draw on what they did last season, then there's every chance of the home team knocking out League One opposition.

17:30 Sassuolo v Genoa

Sassuolo

Genoa are in all sorts of trouble. No permanent manager, no wins this season, rock bottom of the table on three points after nine games played. Sassuolo won promotion last season and have equipped themselves well. They are tenth in the table on thirteen points. 19:45 AC Milan v Roma

AC Milan

This game should see a few goals with AC Milan scoring in each of their last five home games and AS Roma doing the same in their last five away games. In the table AS Roma are the higher of the two clubs by three points. The last time AC Milan welcomed AS Roma was in a cup game which the home side won.
