In the Premier League Liverpool made it four wins from four games with a very late goal against Burnley last weekend. Tonight, they should be much more motivated with this being a Champions League game. Last season they played very well at home during this stage of the competition. If they do so again, then every chance the Liverpool supporters will go home happy.

PSG start the defense of their Champions League title against Italian side Atalanta, who drew their last away league game. PSG are very strong at home, as demonstrated in their win against Arsenal in the semi-final last season. With such strong home form, every chance PSG will start with a win.

20:00 Juventus v Borussia Dortmund

Juventus

Both these teams have made a good start in their respective leagues after three games, with Juventus collecting nine points and Dortmund seven. Juventus have won their last six home league games. The last time these two met in the Champions League, Juventus won both the home and away leg. Therefore, going for them to get the win.
20:00 Real Madrid v Marseille

Real Madrid

Real Madrid started their domestic league season in fine form having won all four games. Marseille have lost both away games in the league and every chance the same will happen today in the Champions League.
20:00 Tottenham v Villarreal

Tottenham

On Saturday, Tottenham warmed up for their Champions League clash against Villarreal with a three-goal win away at West Ham, whilst Villarreal suffered their first league defeat of the season away at Atletico Madrid. In the Premiership, Tottenham have taken nine points from their opening four games, whilst in La Liga, Villarreal have taken seven points from the same number of games. Thomas Frank got his team back to winning ways following the international break, and with home advantage, I am tipping them to get the better of Villarreal.
17:45 Athletic Bilbao v Arsenal

Arsenal

These two teams played each other in August, which Arsenal won by three goals. The only defeat Arsenal have suffered this season was against Liverpool. With Athletic Bilbao losing their last home game against Alvares, there's every chance Arsenal can get their Champions League campaign off to a winning start.

Michael Holt won his last match without dropping a frame. The last two times these players met, Trump won the deciding frame in matches which were both best of seven. Even though nearly five years have passed, I'm going for the same frame score today.

Last season, Como finished three places above Genoa in Serie A. Como started the new season with a bang when beating Lazio at home before losing on their travels to Bologna. Genoa started the season with a draw at home to Lecce before they lost in front of their home supporters to Juventus. Last season saw Como win this fixture, and having already beaten Lazio at home, I am taking them to put in another strong home performance and get the win.

20:00 Barcelona v Valencia

Barcelona

50 WIN

@1.30

Win

Barcelona have beaten Valencia the last four times they have met. The last time they welcomed Valencia, Barcelona scored seven goals. Cannot see a repeat of that, but they should score enough goals for the win.
16:30 Man City v Man Utd

Man Utd

Early days of the new season, but both managers will be disappointed with the results they have achieved. Manchester United are currently the higher of the two teams in the table. Manchester United won this fixture last season, and with Manchester City coming into this game following two consecutive defeats, taking United to once again get the win.
15:00 Kilmarnock v Celtic

Celtic

Last season, Celtic played Kilmarnock four times. Three were in the Premiership, and the other time was in the Scottish Cup. Each time, the result was the same: a win for Celtic. Those four games saw Celtic score thirteen times and concede twice. They have made a much better start than Kilmarnock this season, and another win today would return Celtic to the top of the table.
14:00 Burnley v Liverpool

Burnley

Burnley were very unlucky not to come away with a point from their last game at Manchester United. Liverpool have started with three consecutive wins, but a time will come when that winning sequence will end. Burnley have won their only home Premiership fixture of the season, which was against Sunderland. They also won their home League Cup game against Derby.
14:00 Lille v Toulouse

Lille

Last season, Lille did the double over Toulouse. They have started the season well and are above Toulouse in the table. Their opening three games have seen them score eleven goals and concede four. Their last home game saw them beat Monaco. If Lille continue to create chances and score goals, then there's every chance they can get another three points.

Brentford's only home game of the season saw them gain a narrow win against Aston Villa. Chelsea have started the season well, but on their last three visits to Brentford, they have come away with three consecutive draws. Two of those games saw neither side score. Brentford put in a decent display in their last game at Sunderland and conceded deep into added-on time to deny themselves a point. Being back at home, there's every chance Brentford could cause an upset.

Having started the season very well, Tottenham put in an unbelievably bad performance when losing at home to Bournemouth. There does not appear to be much between the O'Brien-trained Lambourn and Scandinavia. Lambourn's form in the early season was very good, but he appeared below par in his last outing where he finished fifth. Scandinavia appears to still be improving. In his last race, he won at Goodwood with yesterday's winner Sweet William back in third. Tom Marquand picks up the ride and, as a result, could take the last classic of the season.

With Montreal now a non-runner, this race could still go to Aiden O'Brien, who also runs Benvenuto Cellini. In his last race, which was at Killarney, he led from start to finish. That field had eight runners. Today, he only has three opponents, so another all-the-way success could be on the cards.

The international break came at the right time for Aberdeen, who after three games played have yet to find the back of the net and register a single point on the table. Aberdeen have won the last four meetings between these two teams when they have been playing at home. The last time they met, they won by four goals, so I'm taking them to get the win.
15:00 Bournemouth v Brighton

Bournemouth

Each team had a good result before the international break. Bournemouth won away at Tottenham, whilst Brighton won at home against Manchester City. Bournemouth are the higher of the two teams in the Premiership, and with Brighton losing their last away Premiership game, taking Bournemouth to get the win.

Having been convincing winners away at Aston Villa, the home fans will be expecting another three points at home against newly promoted Sunderland. Providing Palace play as they did against Villa, then the home fans should see their first Premiership home win of the season. Sunderland have lost their only away Premiership fixture.
15:00 Everton v Aston Villa

Everton

Aston Villa have had an awful start to the new Premier League season. Only one point from their opening three games and still waiting to score their first goal. Everton built on their first home win in their new stadium when traveling to Wolves and coming home with all three points. The way Everton played in their new stadium when defeating Brighton suggests they are well capable of winning this match.

15:00 Fulham v Leeds

Fulham

The last three meetings between these two teams have all gone the way of Fulham. Leeds were totally outplayed in their last away Premiership game, which was at Arsenal. Against another London club, they may again struggle. Fulham drew their opening home game against Manchester City, and this looks like a good opportunity for them to get their first home win of the season.

Newcastle

50 WIN

@1.50

Newcastle have had a poor start to the season, taking just two points from their opening three games. Wolves have had an even worse start, losing all three games. Their only bright spot was an EFL Cup win against West Ham. Prior to the international break, Newcastle took a point when traveling to Leeds, while Wolves lost at home to a rejuvenated Everton. Last season saw Newcastle win this fixture, and despite not being in the best of form, I expect them to do so again.

15:00 Rangers v Hearts

Hearts

Hearts are matching Celtic at the top of the table with ten points. Under their new manager, Rangers have started with four draws. Hearts have won away at Livingston and Dundee United so far this season. The way these two teams are playing, they could well add the scalp of Rangers to that list.

Providing the ground is not too soft, then Trefor should once again be involved in the finish. His last six races have seen him finish with three wins, a second, a third, and a fourth. His latest success was at York last month, where he did just enough to win by a head in a class two race. Today he races off a five-pound higher mark and is once again in a class two race. That race at York had a field of twenty runners, so today's field of twenty-two should also not be an issue. He has on board the same jockey that won on him at York, Kieran Shoemark.

From the same number of games, Preston have taken seven points and, in the process, scored four goals and conceded three times. Middlesbrough have won their two away games, which were at Millwall and Norwich. Although Middlesbrough have lost on their last five visits to Preston, with the start they have had to the new season, I'm taking them to come away with a win.

Both sets of supporters will be very disappointed with how their respective teams have performed in their opening four games. Ipswich, who were relegated last season, have only managed three points, which have come from three draws. Sheffield United, who came so close to winning promotion, have still to register a point following four defeats. In those four defeats, they have only managed to score one goal. Ipswich have found the back of the net four times, and so with their consistent scoring, I'm taking them to get the win.
