If you go back to the beginning of the year, in February this one finished a decent 2nd of 9 in a Class 4 over 3m 60yds with a rating of 85. Then it ran disappointingly in April and May and was then off until last time out on 17th November, so it probably needed the run, finishing last of 7 over 2m 4f 110yds with a rating of 83. Has a chance if repeating the February form today with a rating now of 80.

Interesting ??" this distance winner is turned out again quickly after running only 8 days ago, finishing a not-too-bad 6th of 12 in the same-as-today Class 5 over 3m 2f 19yds on soft (heavy in places) under a different jockey than today, beaten 12½L with a rating of 77. He was running off a rating of 92 at the beginning of the year, which has steadily come down to 77 today. Better ground today than on that last run will suit, and he will receive weight off most of his rivals.

That latest run was over 3m 3f 149yds, running on well at the finish to only be beaten a neck under today's 5 lb claiming jockey and a 106 rating. Bit harder today with the rating going up to 110, but those two runs should have put him spot on for this. Forecast soft ground not a worry.
