Was made favourite last time out for the Edinburgh National but finished 2nd of 7, keeping on the same pace at the finish of 3m 7f 76yds on good to soft with a rating of 139. Rating actually drops a point today to 138, with the same jockey on board on similar going. He does make a few mistakes with his jumping but is only an 8-year-old and has been freshened up, having been given a 41-day break since that last run. Should get today’s marathon trip.

Distance winner went into my tracker after his run last time out when finishing a not-too-bad 4th of 12 in the same-as-today Class 5 here over today's trip with a rating of 69. Rating down one today to 68 under the same jockey with a good draw in stall 2.
