A five-time winner on the grass but hasn't been able to reproduce that on the AW in 16 attempts. Last turf win came off 69 and is now all the way down to 53. Sent off favourite last time when fifth at Chelmsford. Yard in good form and Billy Loughnane takes over up top.

Finished third over course and distance on seasonal reappearance in November, which on ratings was near a career best. Not so good in the last two starts since, but now four pounds lower than for that run, so every chance if in the mood.

Last two runs finished 4th of 18 and 4th of 21, both in decent races at Cheltenham and Punchestown. That last race was 15 months ago, so we are taking a big chance on him being fully fit for this, but he is only 1 lb above his last winning mark, and the yard is in good form.

1st and 2nd in bumpers before 3rd of 23 in a Leopardstown maiden hurdle, only losing the lead at the final flight. Highly tried in two Group 1s after that and appeared out of his depth. Didn't seem to like the first-time tongue-tie on reappearance, blowing any chance when hanging and jumping left throughout. Worth forgiving that run and should go very well at this level.

A bit of a punt for the nap today with this debutant who has an interesting pedigree. On the dam's side it's all stamina, which makes today's trip look unlikely to suit. However, the sire was a dual Group 2 winner at sprinting distances, and his sire was the great Singspiel.

Interesting that the trainer comes over from Ireland for this on only his second career start. Very promising debut in a £10K race at Dundalk, when he finished strongly into second despite not attracting support in the betting.

Since going handicapping, finished second four times in eleven starts before finally getting off the mark and then followed up last time as well. The stable seems to have found the key, and it's interesting that Oisin Murphy is booked for this hat-trick bid.
