I back ALL my selections, I rarely look at a selection that is greater than 5/1 in the morning prices. Remember around 75 to 80% of winners come from the first four in the betting. She won a modest bumper here on debut as favourite before contesting two more NHF races at listed level last year. Well back on both occasions and seemingly not up to that level. Second behind the long odds-on favourite on hurdles debut in December on heavy going and then ran a career-best last time when third at Ayr behind the two market leaders. The second and fourth have both won since, and the winner was only denied by a short head in a Grade 2, so that form reads really well. The stable is in top form, and she is the only horse running today who scores maximum points on my own rating system.

Won her point and hurdle race both at the first attempt. Then a big ask to go straight to the festival last year for a Grade 2 hurdle, not disgraced finishing in midfield. Only just pegged back by the odds-on favorite on chase debut in December. Disappointed last time on second chase start and takes a big step up in trip today, but there is some stamina in the pedigree and every chance she will bounce back from that poor run. Connections paid £120K for her just over two years ago, and a chasing career at a decent level was probably always the plan.

Two very sound runs last year. 4th of 18 here on debut over this trip, the second and fifth have won since. Then improved with a good second of 19 at Navan behind the other market leader that day and clear of the rest. Stable will be disappointed if he can't win this as holds an entry for the 2000 Guineas here in May. Scores clear top across my ratings as the best bet of the day.

Has twice won on second start after a wind operation, so we are taking a chance going first start after the procedure today (watch for next time out if not today). Quite consistent and as such doesn't get much relief from the handicapper. Ran okay again last time when just failing to make the frame in a better race than this. That was over half a furlong further on soft going. This slightly shorter trip, better going, the wind operation, and the ease in class should see his stamina last out. Yard and jockey both going well and clearly tops my ratings as the strongest bet of the day.

Useful on the flat, winning twice, getting up to a mark of 90 and picking up £44K in win and place prize money. However, he has taken that to another level since switching to hurdles and joining this yard. Three starts, all at odds on, and a convincing winner each time by a combined distance of 32 lengths. The last two wins were both in Grade 2 events here at Cheltenham. It's a really interesting race with the top four in the betting all unbeaten, but the selection I believe holds by far the best form to date and valuable course and distance experience. He is the only horse running anywhere today who scores top across all five of my rating assessments.

We have to wait for the last race of the day for today's best bet. Twice a winner and twice runner-up from six visits to the track. Forget the last run at Wolves when it blew the start and was forced to race wide around the bend. Often apprentice ridden and pulls hard. Most poor runs have come when being poorly away and not able to get a position. Very interesting jockey booking tonight with the talented Billy Loughnane taking over. Top rated across my systems and steady market support this morning is encouraging.

Three pounds lower than for the last of his four hurdle wins. That was back in 2023 but he has made the frame seven times since, so still retains ability. He could well have been freshened up by a change of stables last month, and this yard is going really well. Had a spin on the AW last week, from 7 on the surface, so finishing well back was not unexpected. But that should have put him spot on for this return to hurdles for the new trainer and scores on my systems as clearly the best bet of the day.

Just the one blip on the record so far when disappointing on penultimate start in France when a well-beaten favourite in a Grade Three on heavy going! Put that behind him with a solid run (career-best by some way on ratings) when runner-up to East India Dock in the Triumph Trial here in January. No match for the highly-rated winner but a long way clear of the rest of the field. A big plus is that James Reveley has ridden on all career starts. This will be the best ground he has encountered, and he is being well backed from connections that love a punt in the big races.

Improved his RPR with every run on the flat last year when with a different yard, with form figures of 3221. The win came on the final start when stepped up to two miles, finishing well up the hill to the line at Beverley. Hit the ground running for this yard after five months off, keeping on well again to beat the odds-on favorite on hurdles debut. Didn't build on that last time, but that was a big ask to be pitched into a Grade 2 at Cheltenham on only his second hurdles start (14/1, so perhaps that reflects that it was more hope than expectation). The drop back to this level, however, should be well within his grasp and he may still go on to better in time.

A lot going for the selection here, and it looks as though the plan came together last time out. Won his bumper with some ease last year before joining the current yard and then put in three lacklustre performances in a maiden and two novice hurdles, gaining a mark of only 97. Put that to good use with a comfortable handicap debut win last month without ever being fully exerted and should go in again here despite the eight-pound rise. Scores very well on my ratings as the best bet of the day, has been well backed this morning, and the yard won this last year.

Just the three chase starts so far. Sent off as favourite on the first two over shorter without really threatening to get involved. Stepped up to this trip last time and was competitive until the closing stages. Opening chase mark of 120 has now been eased to 116, and after JJ riding on all three of those chase starts, a seven-pound claimer takes over today, effectively taking him down to only 109. Strong in the betting and scores as the best bet of the day across my ratings.

Probably better than the bare form suggests in the three starts over fences before last time out win with the first-time cheekpieces. Forget the first run when unseated rider at the first fence, then just held keeping on well by a more experienced rival winning for the second time on the spin and the third time in total. (Credible effort to finish a close second as vet stated horse had bled from the nose during the race.) Then tried over further but clearly didn't stay, weakening towards the end to finish third. Last time out, dropped back to this trip with the cheekpieces on (retained today) and won eased down without ever being asked for maximum effort. Clearly more to come at this level.

Just the one run last year when trailed in last of five in his bumper after vying for favouritism. Unusual for this yard that he seemed to need the race by the way he faded towards the end. Not seen again until last month in a maiden hurdle when ran second to the favourite with the second favourite back in third, so that form looks quite reliable. With that run behind him, he should be much sharper today and I expect a big step forward. Scores top marks across all my ratings and, more importantly, well clear of the rest of the field. As usual, this yard is in good form and there is money for him this morning.

Scores top today across my ratings with the exception of Big Sip in the 2:12, but at 1/4 on, that's not really backable. Rebels Gamble has done nothing wrong so far and appears to be on an upward curve. Strong in the betting on all three starts and has again been supported this morning. No disgrace to be beaten last time giving more than a stone to the winner who was going in for the second time on the spin. The pedigree suggests this step up to seven in this much better race could be ideal with his brother placed at group level over the trip, but also plenty of speed at shorter with his sire winning a Group 1 at Newmarket over six.

Twice a winner here but had disappointed recently until last time win over course and distance. Change of jockey with Billy Loughnane riding for the first time and a change of tactics when racing prominently throughout rather than being held up as in most races seemed to be the key. Raced up with the pace for previous win here when apprentice ridden just over a year ago. Up 6lbs today but Billy keeps the ride and gave the impression last time that could have found a bit more if required.

Won two hurdle and two chase races back in 2021 and has rarely come close since. However, went up to a chase rating of 113 following those wins. That mark is now down to an all-time career low of 72! The yard are among the winners currently, and the selection's last three runs have been under a 7lb claimer. Sean Bowen takes over today. Betting forecast put him in at around 7/1 but has been supported this morning into 2nd favourite at around 9/2 currently, with the favourite on the drift.

Not perhaps as good as expected in three bumpers, but has really stepped forward in two hurdle runs since. Winning a maiden hurdle by 25 lengths, followed that up with an easy win in a class 4 at Wetherby in January. Needs to improve again in this much better race, but the extra two furlongs can only help. There is strong market support this morning and probably plenty more improvement to come.

Ran here on second start over this trip and made all without ever looking like being pegged back. Goes well round here. It's just over a year since winning here over this trip but has also been runner-up here three times, including in a Class 2, 38K event at the end of June off a 1lb higher mark. Eleven career races and has made the frame eight times without winning! Interesting that this is the first time that stable's main jockey, Oisin Murphy, has been on board. Surprisingly, this is also Groovy Baby's first try dropped back to six furlongs. Big weight advantage over the likely second favorite after that one won a weak race on debut. Goes without a hood for the first time since debut and likely that will try and make all over this shorter trip.
