I really like this mare. She was a brilliant hurdler, winning a top mares' race at Sandown. Chasing this season, she was beaten on debut but made amends when winning next time out. I fancied her for the novice chase at Warwick on Saturday, but unfortunately that was called off. She's improving, her jumping is getting better and the yard are having a fantastic season to date. This race. On paper looks well within her compass . Italy personal opinion but it's possible that she is the best horse in the yard at Jamie's.

French Ship has been a revelation this season so far, winning easily at Cheltenham and then Newbury. Cobden gave him a peach last time. He smuggled him into the race and won cozily. Now, this is a very competitive handicap and he carries top weight. Callum Pritchard is a very talented claimer and takes 3 lb off, which makes it slightly more reasonable. The thing with French Ship is that he may well be a great horse in a handicap. If he is, he should win this; regardless, it’s very hard to see him not placing.

She is going under the radar here slightly. She won the lucrative Mares' Hurdle at Sandown last season. Chasing this year, she was 3rd in the Colin Parker, which is strong form even though she wasn't at her best. Won last time at Exeter in calmer waters. Back up in trip to 3 miles here. I think she will handle the trip and track perfectly. Same can't be said for some of the opposition. Yard is going well. I think she's potentially the best horse in the yard.

Not a fan of backing favourites in such big handicaps, but this lad can't be ignored. Second in the race last season, he looks to be coming to the boil nicely for a big challenge again this year. You could argue this year's race looks stronger, but this lad arrives in peak condition off the same mark. Rebecca Curtis's horse is a danger, as he could outclass these, but is this an afterthought after a no-show in the Betfair? Jubilee will definitely give us a good run for our money for a home team.

Cracking little race this is. I respect Lump Sum massively. Big fan of his, but I just think this lad will improve past him. He has been superb since being sent chasing. I also believe that Kempton plays to his strengths and he will absolutely fly around there. The yard is having a really good season, on a high for obvious reasons. Hard to beat.

Champion chaser. Pinpoint jumping and speed to burn. The only reason he isn't favourite is because it's first time out, but I believe he's ready to rock and roll. Majborough is a talented animal, but his jumping sometimes can let him down. Ground is key as well today. Marine has his ground, so I expect him to win. He's still a bit underrated by many, which I can never understand.

One of the best fields in recent King George memory. There are so many angles. However, for me, as good as the Mullins pair are, the one to beat is Jango Baie. The baby of the field at six years old. Last year's Arkle winner. Returned this season winning the Ascot Chase. Of course, he has yet to run three miles, but he shows signs he needs it. Not only needs it, he can improve for it, which is scary. He's a stayer with speed. If he's in touch two out, I'm more than confident nothing will be finishing stronger than him. Next stop, the Gold Cup!

A very deep race. The last couple of years I have, in fact, backed the winner on course. Victorino was back-to-back, but this year I'm inclined to leave him alone. I don't think he arrives here in the same form as last year, and neither does the yard seem to. Blow Your Wad is the one for me! His run last time out here at Ascot was very good. Form is very strong. That was his first run back from a wind op. He runs off the same mark here today. He definitely has a platform to improve again, so I can see him going very close.

The description of consistency! This lad has been rock solid throughout his whole career. Thirteen runs and only finished outside the top three once. That was at Aintree last season. He was running in top handicaps last season. Now upped to three miles, he is showing he is Grade One level in a division that needs a boost. Every time he runs this season he improves. No doubt this race is his toughest task to date, but I think he's ready. Ascot will play to his strengths. A lovely long straight to pick off rivals. Nicky's yard is now in a good place. There is no way he won't be involved in the finish.

Can look fairly awkward, but this talented 4-year-old is slowly learning his trade. Thrust into the U.K. scene on debut last season in a Triumph trial. Came second to East India Dock. Never featured at the Festival in the Boodles. Chase debut in an Arkle trial last month. He was backed but didn't look like winning. Outpaced and looked awkward. I'm excited to see him run at Cheltenham, especially at Ascot. I really think we will see a better version, which will make him tough to beat.
