Chola Empire was second here in December off a 72 in a C5. Last week it was a good third here in a C4 off a 71 and goes again off the same mark here but in a C5, which could be enough to get back on the top step.

Hale End was around the money quite a few times last year but only had the one win. That was when last out here in December off a 71, and worth another shot while up just 3 lbs, as has won in the past off a 77. So this could be doable.

Although back in a handicap today, he has been on a falling mark for a long time. I think today's 46 and having Myla Coppins in the saddle, claiming 7 lbs, who has run to second in both outings for Tony this month, could work. EW4P

Eloi Du Puy could be worth a shot, as he has not won for a long time but has dropped to his last C4 winning mark of 109. Last year he was a decent third here in a C4 at today's trip off a 113. Since the return from the break he has improved in the last two runs in C3 without getting in the money. I think the return here, dropping back to C4 off a 109, which is 4 lbs lighter than that third here in Feb, could see him involved again. EW 4P

Big Bard has been a bit at the back of the pack for the last couple of runs at 5f but could be in with a chance, as he last won off a 59 at 6f on turf and last won on the AW when here last Jan off a 57, again at 6f. That makes me think he could be worth an each-way bet off a 60 today.

Jackie Brown is an old FAV of mine but has not won since 2024. When she did, it was here off a 51. She has shown improvement of late with two thirds in Nov and Dec off a 49 and a 50. The latest run was a bit down the pack off a 49 here, but from a wide draw. Worth another shot off the same mark and a slighly better draw. EW 4P

Inishmot Prince has not won in a long time, but his two best runs of late were here in November and December, both to third under James Ryan off a 68 and a 66. Although a bit down the pack three weeks ago with a different rider, he gets James back today off a 62 and is worth an EW 4P chance.

Interestingly, she returned from the break in November and, on her hurdle debut, ran in a C1 Novice Hurdle on soft ground and finished second. Although she was only second in a C4 last time out, I think she is worth another shot.

Juby Ball has only had six runs but has won four of those and was placed second in another in C2. The three runs last year were all winners: two over hurdles at 2 miles in Class 4, and on chase debut in November in a Class 3. Although falling on the first run over fences this year, he could go well again if not needing a confidence run after that fall.

Bingoo might be a bit of an OAP but returned from a break last month running for a new yard and dropping to C3. He then came straight in with a decent second, 17 lengths ahead of the next rival. As I always expect more when second up after a break, he gets my EW 4P vote while running off the same mark.

Only One Blue changed yards in October and came straight in with a win. What catches my eye is the last run in December when third in listed company on soft ground. He should find today's Class 4 a tad easier, with the ground to suit, even though she is under a 7 lb penalty.

Keppel Queen changed yards in Sept and came straight in with a C4MdHM win. Although PU over fences in Dec, I think the return to handicap hurdles could work. Before the change of yards she was 2/9 back in May off today's mark, and in Feb was not far away when second on soft. Both of these make me think there could be more to come today.

Eddie My Eagle has to be my pick mainly because he just seems better weighted among today's runners. His latest run last month was not far away when second on soft and keeps the same rider and his 3 lbs claim.
