Has been a huge improver for this team this term and arrives here fresher than most. Back on today's better ground, he could attempt to make all and should hopefully continue on the up. He finished a creditable 3L second of 4 to Jonbon at Ascot (2m 172yds) on soft ground in a Grade 1 Chase back in January, but could gain revenge today.

I think, with conditions to suit, this one could be very well in. His stable and jockey are in terrific form this term after finishing a respectable 4th of 8 to 'Gold Dancer' at Aintree (3m 210yds) on good-to-soft ground in a Grade 1 Novice Chase earlier this month. He could relish the drop back in trip and is very well in with current market leader 'Blow Your Wad' on form lines with 'Quebecois'. One at bigger odds, 'Mahons Glory', is worth a squeak.

Looks a very hard race to call, but I think this one has looked very unlucky on a number of occasions this term and has dropped to a very attractive-looking mark after showing much better signs at Carlisle (3m 110yds) on Good to Soft ground in a Class 2 Handicap Chase last month when finishing a creditable 5th of 12 to Chasingouttheblues, when done no favours by a faller being hampered. If building on that effort, may be worth siding with.

Looks a quite open-looking race, but I feel this top-weight looks to be on the upgrade and deserves to win a race of this nature. Arriving here with some fine form of late, most recently finishing a creditable 2nd of 15 to Melvin Udall at Doncaster (7f 6yds) on good-to-soft ground in a Class 4 handicap last month. Hard race to call despite the small field. With this one running well of late, she can hopefully get off the mark for the first time with R. Havlin on board. Still relatively lightly raced and looks interesting now starting out for a stable in form with James Doyle on board for the first time. Had excuses on both of his starts when trained in France. At first glance I was quite keen on the prospects of 'Oliver Show' at big odds with James Doyle on board for the first time, but he may find it hard to win with such a high draw. This is why I've decided to side with this one who, although quite short in the betting for what looks a very competitive race, looks to have been laid out for this contest and should be a lot sharper for finishing a creditable 4th of 12 to 'Chancellor' at Kempton (7f) in the AWin Class 2 Handicap back in November last year. He should hopefully relish the step back up in trip and is very well off with 'Rogue Diplomat' for his 1L 3rd of 15 to that one at Doncaster (7f 6yds) on good to soft ground in a competitive Class 2 Handicap back in September last year.

He was very disappointing on his final start back in September last year when very well supported in the market (7/2 joint favorite), finishing 15th of 19 to Brosay at Ascot (6f) on good to soft ground in a competitive Class 2 handicap. He is surely a lot better than that and may be better when fresh back from a break. He disappointed when last seen, finishing stone last of 22 to 'Golden Mind' at Doncaster (6f 2yds) on heavy ground in a competitive Class 2 handicap back in November last year. He was very well supported in the market at 9/1 for that big-field handicap. It looks a good move returning to the AW, having previously got off the mark in decent fashion on only his third start for this yard at Chelmsford (6f) on the AW in a Class 4 handicap back in October last year, when beating 'Charlie Mason' by 1/2 a length. Current market leader Sea Force won well when last seen back in September last year, beating Whip Cracker very cosily by 1½ lengths at Yarmouth (1m 1f 20yds) on soft ground in a Class 3 handicap. He surely has a lot more to offer this term on that evidence despite going up 6 lb, but he may be worth taking on in what looks a tricky race. I'm quite keen on the prospects of this one at decent odds. He is 2-2 over today's C&D and looked in need of the run on his first start back from a break at Wolverhampton (1m 142yds) on the AW in a Class 3 handicap last month, when finishing a creditable 5½ lengths, 10th of 12, to First Principle. If he can bounce back to the form that saw him beat another William J. Hopefully the switch to a stable renowned for turning out sprinters could quite easily bounce him back to form after a break. He finished a disappointing 7th of 12 to 'Eminency' at Chelmsford (7f) in the AW Class 4 Handicap back in December last year when attracting a lot of support in the market, going off at 11/4 fav.

Stable and jockey could have a very productive day, and this one looks a big improver. It will need to be, however, after going up a hefty 10 lb for beating 'Nikki Swango' easily by 4L over today's C&D on the AW in a Class 2 handicap back in January. On that evidence, it could be hard to beat.

Looks a quite competitive, open-looking race which can hopefully see this one going well now stepping into handicap company. He can hopefully follow up his stable and jockey's success in this race last year after being very well supported 5/4 fav over yesterday's C&D on the AW in a Class 4 novice event last month when finishing a 1/2 length 2nd of 5 to Soul Love, which was slightly disappointing. Hopefully today's race will see him in a better light.
