Looks a very tricky race, but I'm quite keen on the prospects of this one now dropping back in trip. If attempting to make it, it could be hard to peg back off only a 1lb higher mark than when winning under today's rider over today's course (7f 50yds) on good ground in a Class 4 handicap in May last year when beating 'Bowman' by 3/4 of a length with stablemate 'Taaser' way back in 7th.

Looks a very tricky-looking race, but I think this top weight looks to have a lot going for him in this. He arrives here in very good nick after finishing a cracking neck 2nd of 13 to 'Dubai Treasure' at Goodwood (6f) on good ground in a competitive Class 3 handicap last month when looking very unlucky in the process. He has won off today's mark in the past, so despite going up 4lb for that effort, I feel he arrives here with the best current form on offer and should be hard to beat. He can hopefully make amends with Rossa Ryan again on board.

Looks a very tricky-looking race with a number of today's runners looking on the upgrade. My selection has some solid form at this track and may be very hard to beat despite going up 4lb for finishing a cracking neck 2nd of 21 to 'Two Tribes' at Ascot (7f) on good ground in a much more competitive race than this with top weight 'Cracking Gold' and 3-year-old 'Consolidation' in with a shout.

This looks slightly easier now, dropping back into a Class 3 off a 1lb lower mark, with one at bigger odds, 'Another Investment', in with a shout.

Looks very interesting after a short break with Silvestre De Sousa back on board after finishing a creditable 1/2 length 2nd of 11 to 'King's Lynn' at Haydock (7f 37yds) on good ground in a Class 2 Handicap early last month. It should hopefully take a lot of beating despite going up 1lb for that effort, with current market leader 'Palmar Bay' looking very much the most likely danger. 'Legal Reform' could also figure in what looks a trappy-looking race.

Wasslightly disappointing when well supported in the market 3/1 2nd fav at Newmarket (7f) on Good to Firm Ground in a Class 2 Handicap earlier this month when finishing 9th of 12 to 'More Thunder', but hopefully can get back on track in this and is much better judged on his cracking 2nd of 27 to 'Never So Brave' over today's C&D on Good to Firm Ground in what was a very competitive Class 2 Handicap last month. He should hopefully figure with D Tudhope back on board. One at bigger odds, 'Aray', is worth a look now back in Handicap company.

Hasn't really shown much this term, but could be worth chancing back on today's ground considering he is now on a mark 1 lb lower than when beating 'Nariko' by a nose over today's C&D on soft ground in a Class 4 handicap back in October last year with today's jockey S A Gray on board. In what looks like a quite tricky race to solve, another one that could be dangerous back on today's ground is 'Tiriac', who has fallen to a decent mark.

At first glance, I was quite keen on the prospects of 'Troy Story', who looks worth a look at decent odds now dropping back down in trip off what could be a good mark. But I think this top weight looks well worth considering after showing his best form to date this term at Ffos Las (1m) on Good to Soft Ground in a Class 5 Handicap last month when finishing a 1/2 Length 2nd of 13 to 'Narmar'. Off a 1lb higher mark, with David Probert again on board, he may be able to lose his Maiden Tag.

This looks very tight between the top two in the market with slight preference for the Top Weight, who is on a roll at present and may have not stopped improving despite going up a further 6 lb for beating 'Bright' by 1 and a 1/4 lengths. He looks value for a lot more than that winning distance as he was denied a clear run during the race and bounded away late on. So, with Marco Ghiani getting a good tune out of him, he can hopefully complete the hat-trick.

Current market leader 'Almeraq' could be on a very good mark now stepping into handicap company. But it may be worth taking on at such short odds against some seasoned handicappers. One I'm quite keen on at big odds is this one who could relish the step back up in trip today after disappointing over (5f) on the AW on his most recent start. He is much better judged on his previous starts and wasn't totally disgraced at Chester (6f 17yds) on soft ground in a Class 3 handicap back in June when finishing 5th of 13 to 'Solar Acclaim'. That form looks quite strong given the 4th horse home that day has 3 on the bounce since.

'Finest View' is on a roll but may be worth taking on in what looks like a tricky race. I'm quite keen on the prospects of this old-timer who was once very useful in his day and made encouraging signs back from a break at Uttoxeter (1m 7f 214yds) on Good Ground in a Class 2 Handicap Chase last month when finishing a 7L 4th of 7 to 'Third Time Lucki'. He may be worth siding with off a 2lb lower mark with Henry Brooke on board for the first time in a while.

Current market leader 'Shamrock Bay' is surely a lot better than what he showed on his most recent start and looks interesting with Oisin Murphy on board. But I'd prefer being on this one who can hopefully get back on track after slightly disappointing at Goodwood (7f) on Good to Firm Ground in a Class 2 Handicap back in May when finishing 11th of 14 to 'Silver Ghost'. He is surely a lot better than that and had excuses that day, so could bounce back with Tom Marquand on board for the first time.

Hasn't had much luck in running this term, but with Oisin Murphy back on board, he could be hard to beat. Avoiding any trouble in running, now stepping back up in trip, and his 3rd of 10 to 'Secret Guest' at Thirsk (6f) on Good Ground in a Class 4 Handicap back in May this year would see him bang in the picture for this race, considering he is now on a mark 3lb lower.

Hasn't really shown much this term, but it's interesting that he came in for support at 4/1 as the 2nd favorite at Wetherby (1m) on Good to Firm Ground in a Class 5 Handicap last month when finishing 7th of 11 to 'Paladin'. He could figure in this now, dropped back in trip off what looks like an attractive mark with S A Gray back on board. If he can produce his 6th of 8 to 'Cadarn' at Redcar (7f 219yds) on Good to Firm Ground in a Class 3 Handicap back in April off a 3lb lower mark, then he would hold a solid chance in what looks like a very open race.

I think this race revolves around the top two in the market, with a slight preference for this inmate of the Richard Hannon Stable, who are going very well of late. Hopefully, the journey can pay off after finishing a creditable 3rd of 10 to 'Walnut' at Goodwood (5f) on good ground in a Class 4 Handicap last month. Hopefully, the return to today's trip will see a return to form with talented apprentice Alec Volkhansky on board for the first time, taking off a valuable 3lb, with 'Dothan' the main danger.
