'Jagwar' is a class act. Although yet to get off the mark this term, he has run some solid races in defeat and looks interesting stepping up in trip. At much bigger odds, I'm quite keen on the prospects of this one, who ran a screamer when back from a break at Leopardstown (2m 5f 120yds) on yielding ground in a competitive Class 1 Handicap Chase last month, finishing a creditable 5th of 16 to 'O'Toole'. Although he has stamina to prove, he should hopefully come on a lot for that run. 'Monty's Star' is very much of interest for the same stable, as Darragh O'Keeffe, a regular rider of my selection, has sided with that one.

Showed some fair form when with trainer P. M. J. Doyle in Ireland, and the ground conditions are very much in his favour. Could go very well on only his third start for J. P. O'Brien after bouncing back to form on his most recent start, when finishing a creditable 2nd of 14 to Rising Dust at Thurles (2m 4f 198yds) on yielding ground in a handicap chase back in February, when only beaten 3/4 of a length and looking as though in need of further. So, after only four starts over fences he could be very interesting, but this race is a lot more competitive than what he faced on that occasion.

Top weight 'An Outlaw's Grace' looks very interesting. Back from a break and now dropping back in trip, I think this one looks the one to be on in this. After finishing a creditable 6th of 11 to 'Dark Ace' over tonight's C&D on the AW in a Class 4 handicap last month, that race looked a good race for the grade. Better drawn tonight, she can hopefully get back to winning ways now dropped 1 lb with last winning rider Callum Rodriguez back on board.

Bounced back to form in good style on only his fifth start for this yard when very well supported in the market, 3/1 fav, at Cheltenham (2m 4f 44yds) on good to soft ground in a competitive Class 1 Handicap Chase last month, beating 'Will The Wise' by 7½ lengths. Although he will find this a lot tougher off a 10 lb higher mark on that performance, I think he may well be one step ahead of the handicapper on ground that clearly suits.

Seems very much suited by decent ground and bounced back to form at big odds 25/1 when finishing a good 2nd of 18 to 'Meetmebythesea' at Cheltenham (2m 4f 127yds) on good ground in a competitive Grade 2 chase. Now stepping back up in trip with Paul Townend back on board, could take a lot of beating if backing up that effort.

Very interesting runner. Now back over hurdles after finishing a cracking 2nd of 20 to Martator at Cheltenham (1m 7f 199yds) on good ground in a competitive Class 1 handicap chase last month. Only beaten a nose that day, coming after a wind op. Could go very well in this.

Current market leader 'Sans Bruit' is sure to be all the rage in this. He has slipped to a very attractive-looking mark, with Harry Cobden back on board. He could run this field ragged if setting off in front. The one I'm quite keen on is this top weight. His stable have won this race twice in the last six years, and he has form over today's course, having won a Grade 1 Novice Hurdle back in April 2023 when beating 'Strong Leader' by 1¾ lengths. On his most recent start he was in the process of running a big race and was still going okay until falling 2 out in the race won by 'Martator' at Cheltenham (1m 7f 199yds) on good ground in a very competitive Class 1 Handicap Chase last month.

'Alexei' was staying on really until blundering at the last, when finishing behind a couple of his rivals. He finished 4th of 9 to 'Lossiemouth' at Cheltenham (2m 87yds) on good to soft ground in a Grade 1 Hurdle last month and has a squeak. He may find it tough to deal with my selection today, who finished a creditable third in that race but looked in need of a step up in trip and can reverse placings with 'Brighterdaysahead'.

Hasn't been done much favour by the draw, but with Oisin Murphy on board for the first time he can hopefully get into a nice position from the off. Although very short in the market, I feel he may have a lot in his favour after travelling very sweetly over today's course (1m) on the AW in a Class 5 handicap last month, when finishing 1L second of 13 to Final Night. Although that form has been let down by that winner since, he may still be on the upgrade despite going up 1 lb.

Interesting to see the market speaking in favour of this one, who seems to save his best for this track and hasn't been totally disgraced on both his starts on the AW recently, finishing a creditable 2L 7th of 12 to 'Pixie Diva' at Southwell (5f) in a Class 4 handicap last month when looking a little unlucky in running. But if back showing the form that saw him finish a nk 2nd of 17 to 'Alzahir' at Ascot (5f) on good to firm ground in a competitive Class 2 handicap back in July last year, off only a 1 lb lower mark than today, then he would have a huge chance.

Top weight 'Mary The Night' could relish the return to today's surface and is on the upgrade. But she may find it hard to cope with this lightly raced maiden, who very much looked in need of a step up in trip and could be thrown in off today's mark on the form that saw her finish 1L second of 3 to 'Elements Of Fire' at Lingfield (7f 1yd) on the AW in a Class 4 Novice event back in February. Although her recent effort at very short odds (5/4 fav) at Kempton (7f) on the AW in a Class 4 Novice event was slightly disappointing when finishing 3rd of 5 to 'Ablon' later that month, she did finish to good effect and this trip today could be ideal.

On the whole, has been very disappointing for this yard since moving from the Paul Nolan yard in Ireland. Hopefully today's better ground will see a return to form, and is quite well handicapped on the best of his form ??" most notably when winning at Cork (2m 1f 65yds) on good ground in a Maiden Hurdle back in May 2024, when beating Trustyourinstinct by 1¾ lengths. He is now on a 5 lb lower mark, with bottom-weight Rule Me In looking the most obvious danger off a very light weight.

I found it very hard to choose between my selection and 'Me Tarzan' in this tricky-looking race despite the small field. Won this race back in 2024 and tends to run well fresh from a break. If getting off to a level break, he should hopefully go well. His jockey and stable are in good form of late. He had excuses when very well supported in the market (9/4 fav) when finishing 5th of 13 to Spycatcher over today's C&D on heavy ground in a Listed event back in November last year. He has now dropped to a very tempting mark.
