Should hopefully have a lot more to offer for a stable that has a good record at this track.

Current market leader 'State Of Madness' looks worth taking on at such short odds in what looks a wide-open race. I'd much prefer siding with this one after it finished a creditable 4th of 9 to 'Knebworth' at Chelmsford (6f) in the AWin Class 4 Handicap last month. This looks slightly easier now, dropping back in grade off a 1 lb lower mark.

I was quite keen to side with 'Nogo's Dream' in this with Billy Loughnane on board for the first time and could go very close. But I think this top weight looks to have a lot going for him after finishing a good 3/4-length 2nd of 7 to 'Spring Is Sprung' at Southwell (4f 214yds) on the AW in a Class 3 handicap last month. That was a fair effort and he could be hard to beat back on today's surface despite going up 1 lb.

Interesting jockey booking. I was very tempted to go for 'James McHenry' in this at a price. He may have desperately needed his run on his most recent start when back from a lengthy break, but he could find it very hard to deal with my selection on that run. With Oisin Murphy back on board, I expect my selection to relish the step back up in trip after finishing very strongly to get the better of 'Popmaster' by a neck over today's course (7f) on the AW in a Class 2 handicap last month. He has fallen to a good mark, and hopefully the short break will see him bounce back to form. He has a squeak based on his 3rd of 7 to Masaccio at Ayr (3m 20yds) on Good to Soft ground in a Class 2 Handicap Chase back in April last year, considering he is now on a mark 13 lb lower.

'Patriotik' has now fallen to a very good mark and showed much better signs on his most recent start. He could run well now dropped a further 4 lb, but will find it difficult to cope with my selection on form lines through 'Came From Nowhere'. My selection finished a good 2nd of 8 to that one at Hereford (2m 3f 147 yds) on soft ground in a Class 3 Handicap Hurdle back in December last year when attempting to give that winner 7 lb, which was a very good effort considering that winner has followed up cosily since. So despite my selection going up 2 lb, he could be very hard to beat with Sean Bowen back on board.
