I think this horse is a future National contenderand he ran well in the Grade 1 earlier this season and was eyecatchingly staying on stoutly over an inadequate trip at Sandown last time. Three miles plus will be his thing but I am expecting yet more improvement from him now stepping up to this intermediate trip

I wasn't going to touch this race, but I went through the dam's pedigree and I saw the undiluted presence of Bustino. That has sold this one to me a bit and the horse that beat him last time out ran well next time out

The horse he beat last time out has come out and won. The dam's pedigree has two very stout influences to the fore in Ecologist and Le Gregol. Should be staying on well at the business end.

I can't be certain he wants this type of ground to be honest but his grand dame sire is the quality Bering who in this position within a pedigree is in so many winners.

Taking a chance on this one for one reason only. The grand dam stallion is Labus and this Busted stallions is a very influential source of stamina. Pulled up on reappearance and I'm working on the assumption that was a cobweb blower.

Solid ew shout in my book. Handles the course. Is bred to stay this far and more and is running off 10-1. The dam's side is absolutely stacked full of stamina. The weight and distance will hopefully negate the question mark over his overall quality but this is not a strong renewal

Good ground could be key here because Kapgarde's tend to come alive on this ground as did the dam sire Astarabad. Stable have show signs of really coming back in to form
