My tipping has been abysmal of late(Helen Keller would do better no disrespect intended) if I blow out today having a fortnight off to re -evaluate my methods. Dandy Spirit has not won for an age but ran well on the A/W at Newcastle Danny Tudhope rousting her along and the horse only really capitulated in the last half furlong but kept on nevertheless (6f) The stable is slightly out of sorts but that run was three weeks ago so I am hopeful the horse may be able to emulate the performance on turf in which case has a good chance of being involved

After the last couple of days the ground should be nigh on perfect this is one of those races where you could easily pitch three or four .Ecology was well fancied for its debut but they split into two distinct groups which makes the form less certain for me Brightwalton had a decent first race some racereaders describe it as meeting a lot of trouble but I saw a horse racing behind the wall switching and finishing quite well nothing too tragic about it too my eye that was on the 4th of July the trainer has won this race before and improvement should see it thereabouts

Brian Hughes back on board for Mickey Hammond he has only had a couple of races under his care since getting the horse from Richard? Given the recent success of the Crisford yard it would not surprise me in the least if it does not usurp my selection as favourite for this race this is the group one July stakes and it is not as cut and dried as it appears the first three in the betting would look to hold the whip hand but this is a proper race Vandeek may well prove to be the champion sprinter he appeared last year and when beaten by Inisherin looked like a horse not on the top of his game for whatever reason Inisherin has done everything asked of it and since the Guineas has proved a sprinting revelation and I am not going to desert him in this event though age has sadly soured my courage and 9/4 4 places means I will have a decent each way bet without the true soirit of conviction one should have for a nap selection
