Netherlands would have wanted an easier game to start the World Cup. Japan are a very tricky opening opponent. Japan only conceded three goals in 10 qualifiers, scoring 30 and finishing top. Holland will have to be at it here. I do expect the Dutch to just edge this one.

Holland have the better side, I would say, but not as strong as they'd want to be. Holland face a Japan side who scored 30 goals in 10 qualifiers and are possibly the best Asian side at the World Cup. Holland have conceded in four straight games coming into this.

I think this is a huge chance for the Germans to get a few goals. It's such a massive mismatch here. In terms of quality, the Germans are miles ahead. Scotland scored 4 against Curaçao and I thought they looked poor and just got a lucky goal. Germany 6-0 for me.
