Arsenal are unbeaten at home, but at the odds I'm going for an upset. Arsenal are obvious favourites, but they have shown signs at times, they can be frustrated, and they've been a lot more leaky at the back this season. I think this could come down to their own mentality. They might be thinking this could be fairly comfortable, but this is not a fixture Man Utd will want to lose or get embarrassed in. Carrick got off to a great start at home to Manchester City. He called back one or two players that had either been injured or left out and reverted to four at the back. He kept Dorgu on the wing and he is turning into an important player. His pace getting forward and his end product are good. Today I think he will do the same again, maybe a little more defence-minded, but with the counter-attacking pace they have, they could cause Arsenal problems. Maguire should be OK to start after a brilliant performance last week. He was run off his feet at the end, but unlike Arsenal he and Man Utd have had all week to rest and prepare for this.

I can see this one being close. Brentford have been solid at home, where they've lost just once. They are in good form, winning five of their last seven and losing just one. However, they have drawn against Leeds and Spurs in their last four here, and I think the way Forest will play here will give us a close game. Forest have won just one of their last eight, which won't fill anyone with much confidence; however, they won at West Ham and drew with Arsenal last week. They rested some players for their midweek European tie, and Dyche will welcome back his first-teamers and will make sure they are hard to beat here.

I expect Palace to be well up for this and hard to beat. They are winless in 10 games now, and just two wins at home doesn't look great. However, they are a team that can turn up for the bigger teams and cause them problems. They face a Chelsea side going well enough at the moment but one that can be frustrated and draw a few away from home. Palace are a side that can frustrate them and cause issues at set pieces. I think we will get a close game here, and Palace not losing looks likely to me.

Newcastle have been good at home, 7-2-2. They are in decent form, losing just 1 and winning 4 of their last 7 games. However, they don't keep many clean sheets even at home. Overall they've kept 6 in 20 home games in all comps and have let in 8 in their last 4 here in all comps. Villa have been a little hit and miss recently after a very long winning run. Their away form is decent, 5-3-3, and they have only lost 1 of their last 9 away in all comps. They did lose to Everton at home last week, which was poor, but they got a good win away at Fenerbahçe in midweek. Both teams are capable of scoring, but both can leak goals, which makes the Both Teams to Score bet look tempting. Both teams had midweek games in Europe, which could cause vulnerability here. I can see this being close, and the draw looks a decent bet at 11/4. Both are hard to beat, and a draw on current form looks likely.

One win in 14 games overall doesn't fill you with much confidence backing the hosts here, but they have drawn seven of those, lost one in their last five and, more importantly for this bet, they've scored in each of their last eight games. They beat Tottenham in their last game here and will certainly fancy their chances of scoring against a leaky Liverpool defence. Liverpool are unbeaten in 13 games, but they've drawn four of their last six. They are hit-and-miss away, and although they got a good win over Marseille in midweek, I think that unbeaten run could be under serious threat here. I can see Bournemouth scoring, and the only thing putting me off backing them here is their own leaky defence. Both teams scoring looks likely, and although I am tempted to side with the home win, I'm most confident with this one.

Burnley have been harder to beat recently, having held Man Utd and Liverpool to draws in a run of 2 defeats in 7 overall. They will fancy their chances and will be well up for this at home. Spurs won at home to Dortmund in midweek, which probably saved Frank's job. That's just 2 wins in 9, though, and defeat here could put him right back in the firing line. Spurs were solid away but have 1 win in 8 away games overall, and on this current run of form they could be vulnerable. Burnley have also had longer to rest and prepare.

Brighton are hard to beat home and away and have gone five games unbeaten overall. However, they are a little more vulnerable away from home, and if there were to be a winner between these two, I'd expect it to be Fulham. So backing them on a positive here looks good.

Wolves have gone five games unbeaten now and scored in each of their last four away games. They must be starting to grow in confidence, and they are capable of coming here and scoring against a leaky Man City defence. It's always tricky stopping this Man City side on their own turf, so I can see them scoring. However, they haven't kept a clean sheet in six games and, having lost at Man Utd and in midweek in Norway, they must be a little shaken. They could well go on to win the game, but I wouldn't be confident backing them, especially at the odds they are. I think both to score looks better.

This will be a close game. West Ham have been poor at home so far, conceding the most goals in the league: 25. They did give their fans something to cheer about with a win at Spurs. Now we will see if they can build on that back on home soil. Sunderland won't make things easy for them. They've lost only one in eight games overall, and although their away form hasn't been as solid, they will still be hard to beat. They've beaten Forest and Chelsea away and held Liverpool, so they are capable. The draw in this early kick-off looks likely, though.

The hosts have been nowhere near as good as they was this season but recently have looked better. They'll be a danger going forward and arsenal have actually been a little vulnerable at times. I can see forest scoring here but they too have had a very leaky defence this season so it's hard to see them keeping arsenal out. Leeds have scored in all but one of their home games this season in all competitions. They've scored in 11 of their last 12 games and six in their last two. They are at their best at home where they have a 4-4-2 record so far in the league. They have, however, kept just one clean sheet in 19 games. So scoring goals isn't a problem here, but they are vulnerable at the back. Fulham come here in decent form, unbeaten in six games, and are scoring a decent amount of goals too. They've netted seven in their last three games, including two against Liverpool and two against Chelsea. Fulham have scored in each of their last 12 and only failed to score in a couple of away games so far. This looks a close game: Leeds decent at home and Fulham in good form. Both teams to score looks good at 4/5 and around 10/3 if you throw the draw in as well.

That's a bit of a worry as far as winning today goes, as you'd expect Palace to nick a goal here. The visitors may not be in the best form right now, and after getting knocked out of the cup will be a little low. Two sides here struggling for form. Spurs have just 2 wins in 14 games in all comps. They usually score a goal, having only failed to score in 2 of those 14 games, but they are also quite vulnerable at the back and have conceded 5 goals in their last 2 games. They have a poor record at home so far in the league and, although they should score here, I don't fancy them winning. West Ham have really struggled this season with just 4 wins in all comps. That's clearly relegation form. However, they did win their cup game against QPR last week, albeit in extra time, and it'll be a morale boost. They have made a couple of signings too, including Castellanos, who scored the winner lto. He could be interesting for them and will certainly give them a much-needed presence up front. Their away form hasn't been as bad, losing less and conceding fewer goals. This could go either way, but I fancy both teams scoring and at 8/11 I don't think that's bad. Arsenal are short odds here, but I think there's a lot more value in backing Liverpool. 5/1 for the win is very tempting. They've been far from the form they showed last season, as we know, but they usually turn up in these big games and, in the past, love being the underdogs. They've gone nine games unbeaten, and although their away form has been hit and miss, I can see them causing some problems here for the hosts. Arsenal are unbeaten at home, which probably just stops me from backing the away win, but Arsenal have shown signs of vulnerability at times. Maybe not always dropping points here, but conceding goals to teams they shouldn't be. They've conceded in each of their last four games in all comps, including Wolves. Liverpool have a good record against Arsenal, being the team that's beaten them the most in the Premier League. The draw is good value, but I also like the look of the handicap +1 just in case Liverpool do more than draw or even if they lose by a goal ??" at least it gives that bit back.
