Chelsea will be well up for this at home and will be a threat. Up against a vulnerable City defence, Chelsea should score. However, seeing Arsenal slip up yesterday will give City hope, and they'll not want to slip up themselves. They have goals in them and will outscore the hosts, I think.

Palace will be full of confidence after their 3-0 win over Fiorentina, which was their fifth game without defeat. If that hasn't taken too much out of them, they will be some to beat here. Newcastle went into the break with a heavy loss at Barcelona and a poor defeat at home to Sunderland. They haven't been great away and overall have just been hit and miss. It's likely to be a close game, but Palace not losing looks likely, and as long as those legs hold out, they could come out of it with a win.

Both teams will be feeling it a bit after trips away in Europe. Confidence is growing for Forest as they are unbeaten in four games and beat Spurs 3-0 away, although wins are still rare in the league. Villa haven't been great in the league, one win in five, but they will take confidence from their European win. If that hasn't taken too much out of them, they could get a result here. I'm not sure which way this will go, but both teams scoring could happen, with both maybe making mistakes and feeling the legs.

Sunderland have been hit and miss recently but have mostly been playing away, so they'll be glad to be back home where they have a decent record this season. They haven't been solid here recently, but I expect them to be well up for this after a break and fancy their chances against a struggling Spurs. Tottenham have given themselves a chance having changed manager. Positive things have been said so far in training, but whether the new boss will see them react on the field is another question. They are winless this year and what was once a decent away record has slowly declined. To be fair, they have scored in six of their last seven games and have had some decent results in Europe, which is at least something for the new boss to build on. This isn't an easy trip, though, and I don't see them beating Sunderland. However, the hosts aren't as solid as they were here, so I think we could see a share of the points.

Liverpool have lost their last three games, but I think they will end that run now back home. Fulham don't just have a poor record at Liverpool; they have the fourth-worst away form in the league.

Finished 11th in this last year but looked a little over-enthusiastic. Has looked a lot more settled in races since. Found the ground too testing in the Bobbyjo Chase and probably needed the outing. Will be fitter for that, ground better, on a fair mark and yard has won a couple of these races in the last. Each-way chance.

This looks a tough one to call. Brentford have only lost three times at home, but they have become draw specialists at the moment, having drawn their last four games in all competitions. Everton have the fourth-best away record in the league and have won three of their last four games. Both will be nice and fresh going into this, but I think we will see them share the points by the end.

This could be close. City will be full of confidence after their League Cup win, but I think Liverpool will be dangerous here. They've been far from solid, but they have improved and are scoring goals. City will have plenty of possession at home, but the way they play will suit Liverpool, who will look to defend well and counterattack. That could see the visitors score against a vulnerable City defence, and I can't see Liverpool losing.

Man City are trying to keep Arsenal within reach, but mentally they may be realistically thinking this is a chance to at least bag a trophy. Arsenal are a danger at set pieces. It could be close between them and Man City. City might just edge it with Arsenal prioritising the league.

Villa have goals in them, but they have conceded a lot more goals this season. West Ham have improved, and they have a goal or two in them.

Spurs are struggling, and their home form is poor ??" the worst home form in the league. Forest are capable of winning this. They aren't consistent, but they can cause problems, especially if they are underdogs and have players who are dangerous on the counter.

Brentford aren't bad away. They score goals and have lost only 1 in their last 9 overall. It's 2 wins in 10 for Leeds. They were good at home but recently have struggled. They are quite unpredictable, and I can see Brentford avoiding defeat at least.

Everton will make this tough for Chelsea. The visitors have been hit and miss in recent weeks and were well beaten by PSG in midweek. Everton have lost 2 of their last 6 at home, and they've won 2 of their last 3 games.

Burnley have had some decent results away from home. Their overall record isn't great away this season, but recently they've drawn at Liverpool, beaten Palace, and drawn at Chelsea. They do have a goal in them, and their performances recently have been better than their results suggest. Fulham should be favourites here, but not as long odds on as they are. They haven't scored for three games, they do concede, and are beatable.

Brighton have improved, having won 3 of their last 4 games. They face a Liverpool side in good form but which will be missing Salah. Liverpool have lost a few games away from home and are vulnerable at the back. I can see Brighton scoring here at home, and although Liverpool should find a way through with Brighton conceding plenty of goals this season, it could be a close game.
