I'm tempted by Liverpool here as they are usually better when they aren't expected to, which has been a while, to be fair. They looked better against Villa and Madrid, but they still have issues. City will no doubt get some joy against their vulnerable defense, but the hosts are far from rock solid at the back themselves. I can see this being close, with neither side wanting to lose it in the end.

Bournemouth have scored in all of their away games so far and all but two overall. They are hard to beat, having lost only twice so far to Man City and Liverpool. Villa have improved as the season's progressed; however, they are still prone to errors at the back, and I can't see them winning today. They had a game on Thursday, and I think a fresher Bournemouth can win it. Both scoring looks likely as well, so 5/1 looks tasty.

Brentford have been decent so far, with a good 3-1-1 record at home and a fairly consistent run of form. Newcastle have been poor away, only scoring twice and with no wins. That said, they got a big win in Europe midweek, and that might just give them enough to nick a point here. I can see Brentford having plenty of the ball, etc., but failing to put away their chances and failing to score enough to finish Newcastle off.

Palace are back to winning ways, having won their last three in all competitions. They haven't lost a game at home yet, but they have drawn three of their five here. Brighton have been hit and miss but will be in good spirits after their win over Leeds last week. They have lost three away from home, but they've been tough fixtures, including Arsenal and Manchester United, but they did beat Chelsea. I can see this being close, and the draw is looking likely to me.

Forest will be harder to beat with Dyche in charge. After they drew with Man Utd, they'll be in a more confident mood here. Leeds have been poor away so far, with 1 win and 4 defeats, scoring only 3 goals. I think it will be a close game, but Forest might just nick it.

Arsenal have been solid so far. This could be the banana skin game that trips them up. As good as they have been there is something just suggesting that a slip up is coming. Sunderland have been brilliant so far, lively, fearless and are capable of scoring and causing an upset here at home.

Everton don't score many goals, but they are hard to beat at home. They don't concede many goals. Fulham are struggling away from home, where they are winless with just a point. They got a good win over Wolves at home last week, but in what could be a close game, Everton should just have enough to win it.

West Ham have scored just 5 goals at home, and despite a decent win over Newcastle last week here, they've shown very little to be trusted at odds on. Burnley have conceded 15 goals away from home, which is poor, but they have scored in each of their last 4 away games and got a good win away at Wolves in their last away game. I can see this being close between two poor sides.

Spurs have been poor at home compared to their away form. They've got a 1-1-3 record here, scoring 5 and conceding 5. They have been a little inconsistent recently. Unlike United, they have midweek European games to contend with and played on Tuesday. They won't be as fresh, but they will be confident after what was a good result. United have been playing much better recently, and their confidence and morale are growing. They were held to a draw last week by Forest, and their away form isn't great, 1-1-2. That said, their recent run should be enough to get them a decent point here.

I think Villa are worth siding with here on the handicap. They've won 6 of their last 7 games, and after a poor start to the season, they look a lot more confident. Liverpool have gone the opposite way. They've lost 6 of their last 7 games in all competitions, and with their keeper, defense, and midfield looking vulnerable, their attackers are struggling to keep them going.

There's always goals between these two, and the way they've both started the season, it looks likely both will score here. Chelsea have scored in all but one of their games so far but have kept just one clean sheet in seven away games in all competitions. Spurs have lost and drawn their last couple of games at home. They are good going forward, but they are vulnerable defensively.

Brighton have yet to lose at home and have scored in all but one in all competitions so far. They have, however, conceded in all but one, and they aren't the most trustworthy at the back. Leeds are more trustworthy at home. They are a lively side, which makes them dangerous away and can score here. However, they can be vulnerable defensively, and both teams scoring looks likely.

This could be a fairly close game. Burnley will set up to frustrate Arsenal. As a side that has been more dangerous at set pieces, the visitors might have to be patient here. Arsenal don't concede many goals, but they don't always bang them in left, right, and center, so it could be a close game.

Both sides are going okay so far. Palace are hard to beat at home and beat Liverpool here. They have been a little hit and miss recently. Brentford have been hard to beat also, having lost only once. They will be confident after beating Liverpool and winning their last three in all competitions. Two closely matched sides here; looks a close one.

Fulham have lost their last 4 league games and have won just 2 games overall in all competitions. Wolves are in an even worse position with no league wins. That said, they have scored in 6 of their last 7; they've been 'in' most games. They drew with Spurs and Brighton and were unlucky to score 3 against Chelsea in the cup in midweek but lost. I can see them coming here and making life tough for Fulham. An out-of-form Fulham side might struggle to beat them. I can see both scoring; the draw looks likely, but Wolves not losing looks tempting on the handicap.

Man Utd have hit a decent run of form. The signing of a keeper that can do his job has worked wonders, spreading confidence throughout the team. Forest have been poor so far, especially by the standards they set last season. Duche's arrival could spark them into scoring here, but I can't see them keeping an in-form United attack out.

Liverpool have struggled recently to keep clean sheets, so I do expect them to concede. They've lost 4 in a row now, and something is not quite right in the camp. Key players such as Salah aren't firing on all cylinders, and the midfield looks off. The hosts will make this tough. They'll cause them problems, and if Liverpool underestimate them, they could cause an upset.

Two sides here are capable of scoring, but both have vulnerable defenses. Spurs have only failed to score in 1 of their last 18 CL games. Monaco will be hard to beat at home, though, and I can see goals but it ending all square.

Liverpool are clear favourites for obvious reasons here, but this fixture is still one of those massive encounters where form can go out of the window. Man Utd have struggled so far. They beat Sunderland in their last game, but their away form has been poor. That said, they will come here looking to frustrate Liverpool, which they can do to teams as it's a tactic they can do well. Liverpool don't like having to break teams down, and they haven't quite hit their best yet. Form-wise, they've lost their last 3 games, granted all away from home. They'll certainly welcome a return back home, but they've got to be careful not to get frustrated and caught on the counter. Could end up being close, this.

Spurs are going well enough, only losing once so far in all comps. That said there is still a little bit of unpredictability around them having lost to Bournemouth here and held to a draw by wolves. Villa have started to pick up recently with 4 wins on the bounce. I can see this being close, there hasn't been a draw between these two since 2012 but this could be close enough to end that run.

Both these sides are going well. Palace lost at Everton last time out, but that was their first defeat of the season, and they beat Liverpool in their last game here. Bournemouth haven't been as busy as Palace without European football. They have been hard to beat, having not lost in the league since the opening day. They will be a threat here and at least score. Both scoring looks likely to me.

Everton have been decent so far, although they will be without Grealish, and they don't score many goals. I can't see them being a huge threat today, and despite Man City still being vulnerable at the back, the hosts should cope with what Everton throw at them. City have been going well, unbeaten in 7, and Haaland has been on fire so far. While he's in this form, they should be beating Everton by 2 goals at least.

I fancy both scoring here, and I think it's worth chancing a Forest win too. I know they have been poor so far, but I think the break might do them good. Chelsea have been OK so far and beat Liverpool in their last game. However, I reckon they could be caught cold. Lunchtime kick-off just after the international break, and Forest are still a threat.
