Friendless on his belated reappearance/chase bow at Kempton, but I really like the way he attacked his fences. Dropping back to 2m4f looks perfect, and there is just no way he should be the rag of the field. Hopefully a 5 lb drop in the ratings is enough.

ALLTALKNOACTION has a great chance on the pick of his chase form. In particular, the close-up second at Market Rasen on Boxing Day, given reopposing fifth Hawkseye View’s (7/2 here) prominence in the market. The ground was dreadful last time, easy to put a line through that and I think the six-year-old is a winner in waiting at this level.

It's fair to say that Ballydangan has something to prove after his last two efforts, but he always seems to run his race at this venue and boasts form figures of 33114. It's important to note that his career-best performance was over C&D on ground bordering on unraceable, and with around 15mm of rain due there tomorrow, it could turn into a real test.

Would go for a cash-out bet on Kentucky River. Decent flat horse and a big danger on handicap debut if soft ground was the issue in his qualifying runs, where he certainly wasn't knocked about. Easy to back so far, but he's the most scary horse for me.

Got some decent handicap hurdle form, looked all over the winner at Exeter but didn’t see it out on the ground and too far back at Chepstow when they had the majority of the hurdles dolled off. Improved on the Flat since and the whole yard seems to have enjoyed a purple patch. I truly believe this should be at least half the price.

He absolutely loved a rise in distance when sluicing in at Market Rasen and it’s easy to forgive the subsequent beating when turned out quickly over an inadequate 2m4f at Leicester. Although the six-year-old is now 10lb higher than his victory, he really should have more to come over staying distances and he looks a fair price given his lightly-raced profile.

I thought there were enough positives on his belated comeback at Taunton to suggest that he could prove competitive at this level. The booking of Jack Andrews is odd for this yard, did finish second in the Aintree Foxhunters I think it was. He's the younger brother of Bridget Andrews, who is Harry's wife. Enough of the family tree, this handicap debutant is chucked on judged on his bumper form and they could have got Woods etc to ride instead. Early cut from 365 suggests there could be something in it.

Scored on her comeback at Kelso with something in hand and then found her stamina stretched over an extended 3m at Ayr. The eight-year-old was too bad to be true at Leicester in January, where I don't think she likes heavy ground, but at least she is a decent price to chance now. Decent conditional Beau Morgan makes the long journey for the ride and, back on better ground, she has a big chance if running to her best.

Unlucky to bump into a subsequent winner over an extended 3m at Wincanton and a sixth in the Lanzarote was more than respectable. He was never travelling at Plumpton last time, apparently the ground was too tacky, but it may have come too soon. He’s always shaped as if he wanted further and he posted a fine runner-up effort over 2m7f on his reappearance in November. They turned him out quickly, but he wasn’t over those exertions. Easy to forgive his latest chase bow as he didn’t enjoy it.
