Shaped better than the bare form in his last two hurdle starts. Dropped another 5 lb for his latest run at Taunton. No reason why he won’t take to chasing, but the biggest reason to chance him is the stable form at present. They are running out of their skin at the moment, and hopefully this eight-year-old will get some of that benefit as well.

Although this is quite competitive, I think CHECK THE SCORE has drifted out to a price worth chancing. He looked one to follow when making a winning chase bow at Market Rasen last year and returned with a solid second over timber at Southwell last month, where the ground was likely too soft. The eight-year-old is entitled to build on that run and gets my vote.
