Made the frame on her follow-up attempt off three pounds higher a fortnight later, then overdid the waiting tactics last time, eventually beating only two home. His last completed race was at Galway last August, when he finished a very creditable third in a valuable Listed handicap. One of five representatives for his powerful stable, he looks very good each-way value at his big odds.

Much though I like the chance of Romeo Coolio if he stays, the fact that he still has to prove his stamina puts me off taking the meagre odds on offer. Instead, Thomas Mor is put forward as a big-priced alternative. He has shown gradual improvement since joining this stable and put up a career best when runner-up behind Kitzbuhel on Boxing Day. He had both Wendigo and Salver behind him, and he looks a huge price if confirming that form.

Romped home in a Fairyhouse maiden hurdle race in November. Improved on that exponentially in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown, looking booked for second but for the demise of the likely winner after the last. That form still looks rock solid, and I'd argue that he represents the best value of the main principals.

The only horse in the race who has yet to win a race. Having joined Gavin Cromwell from France, he had three quick races towards the end of last year, thus qualifying him for a handicap mark. It looks as though this race was then targeted for his handicap debut, and the plan could pay off in spades. Of course, many others will have been campaigned with today's race in mind, but Ole Ole looks the value bet, with Bet365 betting each-way for the first six home.
