Team O'Neill have several entries at Punchestown this week and this gelding could get their ambitious raid off to a flying start. Lightly raced and open to improvement, he put a disappointing handicap debut at Ayr behind him, with a much better effort in finishing fourth at Wetherby last month. Those were both qualifiers for today's race, and the suspicion is that it has been the horse's intended target for some time. He will need to produce more in such a competitive heat but is priced up accordingly and looks capable of rewarding each-way support.

She arguably put up her best performance to date at Doncaster last June when beaten narrowly by a James Owen inmate who is currently rated more than twenty pounds above Sovereign Bright. Obviously it's not a rigid formula, but it's easy to argue that the selection is feasibly handicapped on that evidence, and goes best on good/fast ground, which she should encounter today.
