Lightly raced and open to improvement, he put a disappointing handicap debut at Ayr behind him, with a much better effort in finishing fourth at Wetherby last month. Those were both qualifiers for today's race, and the suspicion is that it has been the horse's intended target for some time. He will need to produce more in such a competitive heat but is priced up accordingly and looks capable of rewarding each-way support.
