Although his history in Class 2 handicap company isn't compelling, even the slightest improvement on the Aintree effort would make him a major contender today. Although approaching the veteran stage, he appears to have retained much of his ability, having made the frame three times from four outings since joining his current stable. Although beaten twelve lengths at Nottingham last time, it was still a commendable performance as he was well clear of the remainder of the field, as those behind finished at big intervals in the heavy ground. Runs off a career-low mark today and is unlikely to be far away.

Up eleven pounds after taking full advantage of a career low mark over today's course and distance last week, but can still be considered favourably handicapped on her best form from last year. Now that she's back at the top of her game she should take all the beating.

Decent staying handicapper on the level when with Ed Walker, and showed promise in four runs over hurdles for his current handler, before his racing career was interrupted by a near three years absence. Has done enough in four races since returning to action in July to suggest he retains a modicum of ability. His current handicap mark affords him with every chance should he rediscover anything like his previous best, and Harry Cobden is a very eye catching jockey booking.

Back over his favourite course and distance, where he has recorded seven of his eight career wins, he is fancied to confirm his return to form off a one-pound lower mark than for his last success.
