05:00 Tunisia v Japan

Japan

50 WIN

@-208

Win

24

Japan should really win this match but might need to score a lot of goals. They have a good record of reaching the playoffs and the win will give them the advantage against Sweden in their final match, with the Netherlands having beaten Sweden 5-1 earlier.

These two have played five times, with Japan winning four to one. Every match, including the Tunisia win, has been a shutout, with Tunisia's biggest margin being 3-0. That, and the fact Tunisia have only scored two goals in their last five matches, is the reason I have gone for No here.

Japan has often been underestimated and has somehow made it through to the play-offs. They should win this match and on both previous and current matches to a shutout.

The most important thing here is to win this match no matter what the score is. If Japan does win, they will only need a draw against Sweden to secure a place in the knockout stage. 3-0 is the pick.

21:00 Germany v Ivory Coast

Germany

50 WIN

@-188

Win

Germany could make it 2 for 2 so far if their defence can tighten up. The last time these two played, it ended 2-2 in a friendly in 2009. Germany proved last time that they are here to play with a 7-1 win and have what looks like an easy group to progress. A win here should see them qualify with a match to spare.

Yes (BTTS)

With Germany he explosive attack they should win this match. I can see a other side win but cannot discount an Ivory Coast goal. They have scored at least 1 goal in their last 11 matches and have won 9. With a suspect German defence I had to go for Yes.

Germany & Yes (Result + BTTS)

With Germany having a suspect defence of late, it would not be a surprise to see the Ivory Coast get at least one goal. They have only lost one of their last 10 matches and have scored in all 10. They could get that obligatory goal on a breakaway, so Yes is the pick.

Germany #4-1

I think that the Ivory Coast are playing well enough to hold the German onslaught for a long time but the Germans have an explosive and accurate attack and could still win well I have gone for Germany to win 4-1 if they take their foot off the brake.

With Sweden having hit 5 against Tunisia it could be vital that both teams score especially with Japan playing Tunisia in their next match. A loss for either side could spell curtains for their chances of qualifying with only a draw needed in the Sweden /Japan match. I have to go for Yes as I think that the goal difference will play a vital role.

As this group could come down to goal difference and a loss in their last 2 matches for Sweden would surely see them exit the cup it is vital they play for at least a draw here and add to their 5 goals scored against Tunisia. Sweden have never been a side that throws in the towel and a draw here could see them go through with a draw against Japan. I think that the Draw and Yes is the way to go here making their final matches interesting.

Draw #2-2

50 WIN

@+1400

-50

With this match looking like a must-win or draw for either side, I have settled on the draw. The Netherlands are playing Tunisia in their last match and look likely to get a 3-point win. Japan are playing Tunisia next and also look likely to get a 3-point win. For those reasons, Sweden would have to win or draw either or both of their last two matches. Having scored 5 against Tunisia, it could come down to goal difference. I think that a 2-2 draw is the bet, as Sweden are not ones to go down without a fight.

This one is a five-time winner from 8 to 10f, with three at Hassan and two at Rosscommon. She has never run here, but if she takes to the track she could be a good E/W bet. She is on a career high mark but has won her last two. Worth the chance for the treble.

As much as we all want Scotland to win they weren't convincing against Haiti only winning 1-0. Moro,so have been a lot more convincing both leading up to the World Cup and holding Brazil to a 1-1 draw. This should be a Morocco win.

Scotland only beat Haiti 1-0 in their first match and didn't convince as a team to progress further. Morocco have been scoring for fun on the lead up to the World Cup and look to be hard to beat after holding Brazil to a 1-1 draw. On that form I had to go for No.

As tenacious as the Scots are, they have trouble converting their chances. Morocco have been scoring for fun and have both a solid attack and defence. They played once before, when Morocco won 3-0, but that was back in 1998. All that adds up to a Morocco win and No.

Having held Brazil to a 1-1 draw in their first match and scoring 13 goals in their last 5 matches I had to go for a Morocco win. That with their 3-0 win when they met in 1998 suggests that Morocco will win and could get as many as 4 so a 4-0 win is the pick.

THe USA had some tough matches prior to the start of the World Cup only winning one. They have improved over the years and had a good 4-1 win in their first match. This might not be so easy against Australia but they have played twice with the USA winning both 3-1 and 2-1. I expect the USA to win the third match.

With the USA having won both previous matches and hitting 4 in their first match I fully expect this to be a high scoring match. Australia won 2-0 in their first match and scored in each of the 2 previous meetings. I can see plenty of goals so Yes is the choice.

For reasons already given I have gone for the USA to win and both teams to score as both teams won their first.match well. This result should be vital to the progress of both sides but I settled for the USA to win 3-1.
