This one looks to be making a better chaser than hurdler. Winning three on the trot around 16.5f prior to a lesser run over slightly shorter at Aintree in April. He ran out of the weights there. This is a drop in grade over his winning trip for his return and should go well off the same mark.

This was a hard race to unravel. Trap 4 was slow out but just about fastest overall. Traps 3 and 5 were faster out but not quite as quick. I have gone for Trap 4 to turn handy with a clear run and stay on the leaders in the home straight for a narrow win.

The overall score between these two stands at 7-6 to Ipswich, but they have drawn 9 times. The interesting fact is the away side has only won one match, which came in 2020 with Oxford winning 1-0. As six of their last ten matches have gone to a draw, with five being 1-1 or 0-0 and three of the others going to a single-goal win (1-0, 2-1), I have gone for the draw despite current form favouring Ipswich.
