France are one of the favourites but they have a habit of creating chances but failing to convert them. Spain have the same problem and they drew 0-0 in their first match which is why I have gone for the draw here. The last time France lost their opening match was to Senegal in 2002 when they lost 1-0. If history repeats France could lose but the draw looks a good bet the way that current results are going.

This one won for me last time out at 22/1 under this jockey and although he is not sure to follow up he has to be given a good chance. That win was his 2nd run at Punchestown over that trip and he made it 2 for 2 over C/D. This is his first time here over an extra furlong but if the course suits he could follow up if he stays.

Jockey and trainer has a good winner for me yesterday and being an amputee I find it fitting to have a small bet on this one. He has won twice, over 15.6f on debut and 16f in July 2025. He is only lightly raced with this only his 4th race since and a recent run should have him fitter for this first try over 20f but he is still 10lb higher than his last win.
