Mercury is 12-6 while Wings are 6-13. However, they enter this match in different form as Mercury lost the last 2 games and will miss two of their top 3 players in this one, while Wings won 5 of their last 7 games with one narrow overtime loss in that span. They met just 4 days ago in Dallas where Mercury was favored by 11.5 points and Wings ended up winning by 9. Mercury missed 1 of their top 3 players in that match and will miss 2 of their top 3 players in this one, so got to expect a tight match in which visitors plus a handy head start seem like the choice to go with.

Astros are strong at 55-35 as they have been fantastic lately, winning 11 of their last 13 games. On the other side, the Guardians are 40-48 after losing their last 10 games. Astros will start leftie Gordon, who is 3-1 with a 4.37 ERA. His only previous start against the Guardians, which came a month ago, saw him pitch 5 innings allowing just 1 run. Guardians will start Bibee, who is 4-9 with a 4.20 ERA, and he has been really struggling of late, going winless at 0-5 with a 5.09 ERA in his last 7 starts. Astros also have a better bullpen, ranking as the 2nd best bullpen in the league with a 3.22 ERA, while the Guardians have a middling 3.90 ERA from their bullpen. Combined with the Guardians being only 7-19 against lefties, makes the in-form Astros the side to be on here.

Meanwhile, the White Sox are the worst team in the AL with a 30-60 record after losing 4 of their last 6 games. Blue Jays will start Berrios, who is 4-3 with a 3.64 ERA, and he is a strong 3-1 with a 2.56 ERA in his last 5 starts versus the White Sox. This includes a gem of a game against these White Sox just 2 weeks ago in which he threw 7.2 innings and allowed only 1 run. On the other side, the White Sox will go with Burke, who is 4-7 with a 4.03 ERA. Blue Jays won 12 of their last 15 head-to-head meetings, so you have to expect the much better Blue Jays to dominate here and continue their hot stretch with another win.

Merlier has been a dominant sprinter this season, winning 2 stages in the AlUla Tour, 2 stages in the UAE Tour, 2 stages in Paris-Nice, and 2 more stages in the Baloise Belgium Tour, alongside a couple of 1.Pro races. He didn't get to sprint for the win on stage 1, so surely this time around he will be eager to impress. Aces are 8-9 while Sun is an awful 2-15. Aces are coming off an embarrassing 27-point loss at Fever, who was without Clark, and after, Aces' coach criticized her team's lack of effort and professionalism, which should see them respond in a big way here. On the other side, Sun lost their 9th straight game, with 3 of their last 4 losses coming by at least a 24-point difference, as they have been simply terrible and even worse since their best player, Mabrey, went down with an injury. They played twice head-to-head this season, and Aces won by 25 points on the road and by 26 points at home. Both of these two teams opened this group with wins as Norway beat hosts Switzerland in come-from-behind fashion, while Finland beat Iceland after Iceland had a player sent off and Finland took advantage. He is yet to climb on the podium as a member of Ferrari, but his teammate Leclerc has 4 appearances on podium celebrations this season. This is the longest stage of the race at 209 km with 2491 m of elevation and a rather hard finish with some really steep but short hills in the final 30 km. Alpecin-Deceuninck opened the race with amazing teamwork that delivered Philipsen into an easy sprint win, and this stage looks like it is tailor-made for their second star, Van der Poel. Not many can follow his bursts on short steep hills, and he has the fastest sprint of those who might follow him. The 2 losses came against the top 2 teams in the league, Bulldogs and Raiders, by 4 and 2 points. On the other side, Tigers lost their last 6 games, looking worse each week while racking up a lot of injuries and being forced to play plenty of young and inexperienced players. Bodo/Glimt is the defending champion, and they won the last 11 head-to-head meetings against Kristiansund, including the last 5 visits here. They conceded in 3 of those 5 wins here, and each of their last 3 wins came by a 2-goal difference. With Kristiansund being solid offensively, scoring in 9 of 13 games this season, you simply have to expect them to score. But Bodo/Glimt is the way better side, being reigning champions, and they will finally have their best lineup here with everyone being healthy. So, you have to expect them to win handily, which makes a scoreline like 1-3 in favor of the visitors a solid pick to go with.

These two lads played already 9 times head-to-head this season, with 7 of those matches coming in the Premier League and one being in the World Championship quarterfinal. The last one was last week in New York. Littler had more 180s hit in 8 of those 9 matches, hitting 51 180s himself to just 24 Aspinall hit in those 9 matches. Last week in New York, Littler hit 6 to Aspinall's none, and yesterday in the first round of this tournament, Littler hit 6 while Aspinall hit 3 in his match. So, got to expect the world's best 180s hitter to hit more maximums than Aspinall in this one as well.

Miedema scored 7 goals in 11 appearances for Man City this season before getting injured playing for the Netherlands in a game. She came off the bench, scored, and got injured after only 17 minutes. She returned last week in a friendly game in tune-up for this tournament and scored both goals in the Netherlands' 2-1 win over Finland, which included an opening goal in the game. So, got to fancy the Dutch best striker to start the scoring here as well.

This stage is 184.7 km long with just 1138 m of elevation, so this should be a big bunch sprint. Merlier is in the mix for best sprinter here, coming to the Tour de France in excellent form with multiple stage wins in the UAE Tour, Paris-Nice, and Baloise Belgium Tour. He doesn't have the best sprint train, but Eenkhoorn and van Lerberghe should help enough to deliver him in a decent enough position. He showed that he can convert even from tougher sprints, so being very high on confidence makes Merlier a solid pick to win this opening stage of the race.

Lions beat Force by 47 and Reds by 40 points after a loss in the opening game at home in Dublin to Argentina. They are improving in these friendly matches ahead of big tests versus Australia. Waratahs missed the playoffs and lost their last game of the season by 40 points. They will also miss a whole host of players who were called away for Australia's friendly match versus Fiji. Lions have so many players wanting to show off and prove that they can be important pieces for upcoming test matches versus Australia. So, got to expect them to pour on tries, especially in the second half when their quality off the bench starts showing off massively, which in the end should result in another massive 40+ point win.

Vissel Kobe is 3rd with 40 points but sitting only 1 point off the leaders, while Shonan Bellmare is way down in 17th with 23 points. Vissel Kobe is in excellent form, having won 10 of their last 14 matches, including 6 of the last 7 home games. Meanwhile, Shonan Bellmare is just 1-2-5 in their last 8 games. Vissel Kobe won 5 of their last 6 head-to-head meetings, including the last 4 which they hosted, outscoring Shonan by 9-1. So, got to expect the red-hot reigning champions to continue rolling and get another win.

Storm is 3rd with 26 points on a 10-4 record, while the Cowboys are 12th with 17 points on a 6-8 record with 1 tie. However, the Cowboys are a solid 3-1-2 in their last 6 home games, while Storm is just 3-3 on the road, with the last of those being a narrow 1-point overtime win at Rabbitohs. The Cowboys have a strong home head-to-head record against Storm, having won 4 of their last 7 head-to-head meetings played in Townsville, including the last 3. Meanwhile, Storm's 3 wins in that stretch came by the narrowest margins of just 4, 6, and 1 points. So, with both sides missing important players who are away for the Origin match, it simply feels like the Cowboys should keep this one close in front of their fans and cover this big line in the end.

The Cowboys went over this total in 8 of their last 9 games, while the Storm went over this total in 9 of their 14 games. They went over this total in their last 4 head-to-head meetings, which averaged a super high 61.3 total points per game. That includes the first meeting of this season, as they already faced off in round 8 previously. So, you have to expect another higher-scoring contest here and take the over.

Raiders lead the league with 28 points on a 13-3 record, while Dragons are 11th with 18 points on a 6-8 record. Raiders won 6 games in a row heading into this one, but 4 of the last 5 of those wins came by 6 points or fewer as they haven't been that convincing. On the other side, Dragons won 3 of the last 5 games and come into this one after a solid 14-point win over Eels. Raiders won 5 of the last 7 head-to-head meetings versus Dragons, but none of those 5 wins came by more than a 10-point difference. Raiders will miss their best players here due to the Origin match next week, so you've got to expect Dragons to hang on in this one and stay close enough to cover this big handicap.

Raiders stayed under this total in 4 of their last 5 games, while Dragons stayed under this total in 7 of their 14 games. They stayed below this margin in 7 of their last 9 head-to-head meetings, including in the last 6 hosted by Raiders, which averaged just 37.3 total points per game. So, with Raiders missing their key players who are called away for Origin duty, and neither of their defenses being leaky, with Dragons allowing 25.1 points per game and Raiders allowing just 20.6 points per game, simply got to expect a slightly lower scoring affair and take the under.

France lost both of their previous two tours of New Zealand by 0-3. The first game of this tour should be more of the same. France named eight debutants for this match as the Top 14 just finished last week, and the two finalists, Toulouse and Bordeaux, make up most of their best players, none of whom are here. On the other side, the All Blacks will have a vastly experienced team with just a couple of new players. New Zealand beat France by 35 points difference or more in three of their last four head-to-head meetings played outside of France. Combined with the All Blacks having way more quality in their side and also off the bench, they should run away with this one to the delight of the home crowd in Dunedin.

Japan lost easily their first friendly game to Maori All Blacks by 20-53, and they lost the last 5 games to tier one sides by at least 28 points. Wales is having a bad friendly games streak, having lost the last 17 in a row. But against a young and inexperienced Japan side here, they should be scoring fairly easily. The game will be played in Kitakyushu, where temperatures of 32 Celsius are expected in very hot and humid conditions. This should translate to a lot of handling errors but also more line breaks and easy points. So after their most recent head-to-head clash saw a total of 63 points, simply got to expect a similarly higher scoring contest here and take the over.

Tiger Cats are 1-2 after a great win against the, up to that point, undefeated 3-0 Alouettes. Meanwhile, the Argonauts are 1-3 as they also notched their first win last time out, beating the 1-3 Redblacks. Tiger Cats looked really good last time out, being led by their QB Mitchell, and their defense was rock solid. This should see a tough night for Argonauts' backup QB Arbuckle, as they are still without their star QB Kelly and will be without their top two running backs here. Tiger Cats covered the spread in the last three head-to-head meetings against the Argonauts, and this time around should have more offense, which in the end should see them win this one comfortably.

Blue Jays will start Lauer, who has been excellent for them, sporting a 4-1 record with a 2.60 ERA in 6 starts this season, while the Angels will go with Hendricks, who is 5-6 with a 4.66 ERA. Blue Jays won 8 of their last 10 head-to-head meetings and should have the edge in this one, so got to like the hosts to win here.
