Is a noticeable ratings dropper in this company. Was racing off a mark of 130 last year and is down to a career low mark of 112, well below its last winning hurdles mark of 126. Drops back down to class 4 after a decent run at class 3 level when 2nd of 4 at Stratford last time out. Is back from a break with a new trainer, so fitness will have to be taken on trust, but it is top-rated in some quarters and classed as a sleeper (could show improved form today). Is 2 wins (19f-20f) and 1 placed from 6 at this level. Is top-rated in some quarters and is its jockey's only ride of the day, who is taking off a useful 5lb. Could go well today at a big price if ready to roll.

Did put in its best AW performance so far when only beaten by 2L into 3rd over c/d in a class 5 fillies handicap on its penultimate start. Is down to class 6 on the AW for the first time. May well prove good enough to get off the mark today on its return to the AW.

It could be worth taking a chance on big outsider of the pack, Alfred Boucher (50/1). Probably needed the run when well down the field in a £38K class 2 at Newbury over an extended 13f after a long absence. But it's back over 2m, which has seen it go well on turf with 1 win and two 2nds from 3 starts over the distance. Needs to translate that to the AW but is lightly raced on the surface, and its return to the AW sees it down 9lb and carrying its lowest AW weight so far of 9st. Hasn't done much racing in recent times, so has had some problems, but the calibre of its turf races that it has been competing in suggests that it could go well today.

Got off the mark nicely when winning a Class 5 (fillies) at Chelmsford over 1m last time out. Is upped to Class 3 but looked like there was more to come last time out for in-form trainer John Gosden. With first-time up William Buick aboard, looks definitely worth taking an interest in.

Was a class 2 hurdles winner last year (its last win) over 20f off a mark of 136 and races off its lowest mark to date of 111 (highest in line up). Trainer's last one sent out was a winner and Benson may well add to his tally today down in class.

Hasn't done anything of note for a while but wasn't going too badly when falling 3 out at Newton Abbot in a class 5 hurdle over 2m 1f on its penultimate start. It is the top speed rated horse in the lineup and its sole win came under jockey Adam Wedge (off today's weight of 10st 6lb) who is 1 win from 2 aboard over hurdles. It's his only ride of the day, which could be a good pointer. It is clear top rated in some quarters and could go well today (25/1).
