Trainer David O'Meara's 4yo Night Of Thunder gelding, Zryan, is the biggest market mover in the field - into 10/1 in places from 25's. Ran a decent race on its debut for O'Meara when only beaten 2L in a class 4 on turf over 1m last time out carrying 10st 2lb (French import) and has a couple of French wins over 1m under its belt, both over 1m. Is top-rated in some quarters plus is the jockey's only ride of the day, who takes off a very useful 7lb. Can bag its first win over here today.

Is 13 lb below its last winning turf mark - 5f class 2 (9 st 10 lb) under today's jockey who is back on board for the first time since July last year and has been aboard for 3 out of its 5 turf wins. Handles the course and ground, is top-rated in some quarters, plus in-form trainer and jockey do well here. This Mehmas gelding could go well today at a big price if ready to roll after a break.

This colt cost £280k as a yearling and has an excellent pedigree, being by Night Of Thunder with the dam sired by Lope De Vega. First-time-out sire stats read well (27% on today's ground over this distance). Jockey's only ride of the day may well prove good enough to make a winning debut.

A step up to 10f on the AW for the first time will be in her favor, with sire New Bay showing a 24.5% strike rate on the AW over this distance with its progeny. It's best on the surface. Trainer (only runner of the day) and jockey do well here. Worth a speculative punt at big odds.

Was beaten less than 2L into 2nd in January over c/d (5 starts back) in a class 4 carrying 9st 9lb and has winning form on turf over 6f (class 4 novice g/f). Has been poor since that last good c/d run but carries its lowest weight to date on the AW of 8st 12lb. Trainer Michael Appleby is showing a £65.76 profit with horses running in first-time headgear, and his last one out was a 3yo winner. His only runner of the day, Ardennes, is only a 3yo (by Soldier's Call), so open to improvement. Plus, it is top speed rated and top rated in some quarters. It has good jockey Tom Maquand back on board, who was riding when it won over 6f. First-time headgear could be what's needed to get Ardennes back on track. Certainly worth considering at big odds (28/1 best price).

It could be worth taking a chance on the 4-year-old unexposed Galileo gelding Ephesus. Won a €12k 12f maiden at the Curragh last year when with Aiden O'Brien (changed yards in October last year) on good ground and was pitched into a couple of €60k races on turf in October 2024 and in March this year. Was a hurdles 5 starts back and carries its lowest turf weight to date of 8st, well lower than in anything else of this calibre. Looks worth considering at a big price of 40/1.
