Scandinavia is a 3-year-old son of Justify ex Fabulous, thus a half-brother to Above the Curve by American Pharoah. As a 2-year-old, he ran second at 2/1jf in a 1m maiden at Newmarket in August '24 behind Anniversary 16/1 by Sea the Moon. That maiden has produced ten winners from six runners. He runs here off a mark of 117 and will be ridden by T Marquan for Aidan O'Brien and Coolmore. Aidan has farmed this Classic over many seasons. Last time out, he won his Group 1 race over 2m at Goodwood at 4/1 in July, so his stamina is not in question on this occasion. A win here will book his place in next season's Ascot Gold Cup. I think he may make most of the running and pull away in the long straight at Doncaster. I make him my Nap of the day.
