Joaquin Niemann of Chile could become the very first winner of a Major in Golf from his country. He has been ultra consistent with his recent tournaments leading up to the US Open. He won the Saudi International on the Asian Tour and tied for 3rd a week later in the same tour. He was tied for 8th in the recently completed US PGA Championship. Odds of 30/1 each way for a Top Eight finish look solid with that as his highest finish to date.

Love him or loathe him, there is no denying that Jon Rahm is a super talented golfer. He has at least been granted the opportunity of joining in the fray of more golf majors, despite now playing full-time on the rebel tour of the LIV. I feel he has an excellent chance at the Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania. I make him my WIN tip for the 125th US Open.

Maverick McNealy

Maverick McNealy is showing his best career form in 2025. He won his maiden PGA Tour title in November of last year with the RSM Classic. So far in 2025, he has been in relentless form: 2nd in the Genesis Invitational, 3rd in both the Texas Open and RBC Heritage, with a further three more Top Ten performances in just sixteen events on the PGA Tour. I think it's worth chancing for an excellent US Open effort where his finishes of 33rd and 32nd are currently career bests in a Major. I feel he is capable of a whole lot more this week.

Patrick Cantlay is one of the most decorated players in the field for the 125th US Open in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. He has won eight times on the PGA Tour, with three of those wins coming in the FedEx Playoffs with lucrative big wins: two BMW Championships and a Tour Championship. Yet a major has eluded him. Up until now, he has been very consistent though, with two 3rd place finishes in both the US PGA Championship and last year's US Open. A total of five top tens in thirty-three events. I feel he is on the cusp of the big one. 40/1 each way, good value.

Russell Henley is deserving of an each-way chance to win the 125th US Open at Oakmont Country Club, Pennsylvania. In some stunning form this year, he has won the cherished Arnold Palmer Invitational, beating Collin Morikawa by one stroke. He has amassed a further five top ten finishes this year as well. Two top sevens last year in majors included a career-best tie for 7th in last year's US Open.

I don't know why, but the number 12 seeded Team Austria with Mensur Suljovi? and Rusty-Jake Rodriguez always seem to punch way above their weight. They have both earned Austria a place in the final of the 2021 and 2024 Finals. They have knocked out a quality side like Belgium 8-3 in the semi-finals, and their price is big due to being in the same group as favoured Australia. I still think they can progress in their group. Good each way value at 125/1.

Wales has won the World Cup of Darts twice, in 2020 and 2023, with Team Price and Clayton. They also made the final in 2022 and can be a force as the number two seed behind England's finest, the world number one Luke Humphries and world number two Luke Littler. I think in this format the two Welshmen work really well together, whereas the two Lukes have not spent such a long time together. Wales for the win at odds of 5/1.
