8yo mare who started her career in high-class company and held her own. She's now had three starts since switching to the larger obstacles and struggled on her first two with it being heavy and soft. No surprise to see her benefit from the better ground when runner-up Lyo at Warwick. Today she will get better ground again and an extra 3 furlongs. Should run well.

Admiral Stewart is quite an interesting one for Jamie Snowden. He’s still pretty unexposed with just eight runs, and it’s notable they’re mixing things up here: wind op, cheekpieces on, and stepping up in trip. They’re clearly trying to unlock something, and based on his earlier form there’s definitely a bit of ability there. The pedigree also suggests he should appreciate going further.

Returns to chasing after a spell over hurdles, gets a lower mark, good ground and Cobden aboard. Deservedly favourite in this small field, and this looks a good opportunity to make it two wins from five starts over fences.

Looking back at Uttoxeter, he actually travelled really well and was still going easily enough in the latter stages. Just his jumping was the big issue there, and it cost him any chance. Things didn’t go to plan next time at Newbury in a Class 3, where he ended up pulling up, but that felt like one to just put a line through. He’s since had a wind op, which could easily help him see things out a bit better, especially at this course and in a smaller field.
