Since the switch of stables, Dexter has been in a good run of form - 2, 3, 1, 4, 2. The favorite will be difficult to beat if repeating his run when winning here. However, Dexter at a decent price looks a bet, having been solid of late.

Very tough, consistent mare who usually runs her race. Been pitched in some listed races in the past in which she's run well. The 8-year-old mare didn't run badly on stable debut last time out at Uttoxeter. Now upped in trip and second season over the larger obstacles, she looks a decent prospect for a stable who doesn't send too many to this course.

I was going to nap this as the stable has a good record with handicap chasers at this track. However, since AJ joined the license, the strike rate has dropped. The 7yo gelding should love this track and distance. He loves a trip and good summer ground. Catching him after a short break might be the trick. His jumping can be a little sloppy at times, but with this being his second season chasing, he is likely to improve. Always get a run for your money under these conditions and that matched with his handicap mark slowly dropping he looks a good ew shout.

Won a similar race earlier this year when winning from the front off a 2lb lower mark. Has failed to win in five starts but back over C&D he looks to have a great chance. Can put a lot of these under pressure with his front running tactics. A lot of this field either struggle for wins over fences or no wins at all.
