Porto has been a bit shaky despite their run being okay with 3 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss in the last 5 matches in all competitions. Braga, on the other hand, seems to be on a hot streak with 4 consecutive wins, and they have been winning to nils furthermore. Now, Porto has often been a tough opponent to beat for Braga, but this time I think Braga has everything it takes to take them down and claim a 1-2 away win.

Manchester City has been rather decent with 4 wins in the last 5 matches in all competitions, albeit they suffered a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa just recently. They are facing a really tough Bournemouth, which has climbed their way to 2nd place as of the 9th week of the campaign. As they are undefeated in the last 5 matches with 2 wins and 3 draws, their defense is one of the best. That said, I would consider Man City to be held to a draw here despite their head-to-head record being negative. I would go for a rare 0-0.

The Hammers are looking to redeem themselves today in this game against Newcastle as they come from a winless streak, barely counting a draw in their last 5 games. Newcastle, on the other hand, has been quite decent and has managed to collect 4 wins in the last 5 matches. This is going to be tough for West Ham, but there are 2 things to consider here. One, the Hammers are playing at home and cannot afford more losses as the fans grow more displeased. Two, Newcastle might pay little attention here and underestimate the opponent today as they also need to prepare for the upcoming CHL round against Athletic Bilbao on the 5th. That said, I would not be surprised to see the Hammers get away with a 1-0 win here as they score and defend for the remaining time.

While Liverpool continues to be in crisis mode, I think they are far from a resolution here. Villa is a tough opponent that can take an adversary aback, especially the Reds at this current time. With 4 losses in the last 5 matches, Liverpool really needs to turn the tables. I think they will gain a lead here, but then again, it is hard to say if they will be able to hold the dominance. Villa comes from a decent run, having defeated the Spurs and the Citizens in the last 2 rounds of the EPL. A 3rd win in a row might be likely, but I think Liverpool might put in some extra effort to claim a draw. I am picking a draw, perhaps a 2-2 or 3-3.

Chelsea is a strange one as they tend to drop in performance when facing lesser teams or, more exactly, when underestimating their opponents. They come right after a loss against Sunderland, but the other 4 results out of the last 5 matches have been 4 wins. They tend to give their best form against tougher opponents, and in this encounter against the Spurs, I believe the Blues might put themselves in a better angle and dominate with both game and result. The Spurs have been inconsistent, albeit they sit in the top 3 as of now. I believe Chelsea will be able to claim a win here, perhaps a 3-1.

Both sides count a similar run of 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses in the last 5 matches in all competitions. While Brighton is the bookies' favorite here, the recent games have not been their best. Brighton comes after 2 consecutive losses and I fear their form is starting to deteriorate further. Leeds, on the other hand, have been shaky and trying to patch up their defense to fix their run. I believe this might be a good chance for Leeds, however, as I am edged towards Leeds claiming a 0-1 or 1-2 victory here.

Arsenal comes from a hot streak, counting 5 wins in a row, having displayed a brilliant run and one of the best running defenses so far. Everything indicates towards another win to nil for the Gunners. Now, Burnley, on the other hand, has seen a couple of good results coming from a win over Leeds and one over Wolves. With Burnley showing such good form, I think they might dare push their chances here. While a win is hard against an in-form Arsenal, I would not be surprised to see a draw here, perhaps a 0-0 or 1-1. Burnley has managed to draw 2 of the last 5 head-to-heads if we consider the past mutual encounters, so I am confident in my pick here.

Brentford is the better side here, at least if we take into consideration the recent form. They count 4 wins and 1 loss in the last 5 matches. On the other hand, Crystal Palace has been a bit shaky with a poor run of 1 draw and 3 losses before the buzzing 3-0 win over the Reds in the EFL Cup. This will obviously give Palace further confidence in upcoming matches. Brentford has led the head-to-heads with 2 wins, but the fixture has ended in a draw on 2 other occasions. That said, I believe this ought to end in another draw, perhaps a 1-1 draw.
15:00 Fulham v Wolverhampton

Fulham

Fulham has drawn 1 and lost 4 in the last 5 matches, whereas Wolves has had 3 losses in a row and 2 draws. Looking at the two sides, they have been winless, with Wolves being really poor, still waiting for their first win for this year's campaign. I think Fulham should not afford any more mistakes, as 4 losses in a row have really made them sour. They did see a slight improvement, drawing against Wycombe and winning in extra time in the EFL Cup during midweek. In any case, I think Fulham is the more solid side when compared to Wolves. The head-to-heads have been neck to neck, with each side winning twice and drawing one of the last 5 head-to-heads. That said, I would pick Fulham to claim a win, perhaps a 2-0 or 2-1.

Nottingham Forest is going down a spiral now, and unless some serious change is implemented onto the team, I don't see any upcoming improvements. Now, they did win against Porto in CHL, and they might start this game well, but I don't think they can assert dominance even against the likes of Man Utd. The Red Devils are now at 4 wins in the last 5 matches, which is quite an accomplishment for them. I was not convinced they could beat Brighton, but with that 4-2 victory, I believe Manchester United is now more confident and at a better stage to claim another win against the troubled Nottingham Forest. My pick would be an away win for Manchester United, perhaps a 1-3 or 2-3.

20:00 Brentford v Liverpool

Liverpool

Brentford comes from a shaky form, but they can certainly be a threat as they do count 2 wins and 1 draw in the last 5 games. Unfortunately for them, this opponent today is one that has dominated them in all of the last 5 head-to-heads. Now, Liverpool saw a series of consecutive losses, which indicates something is not right, but the most recent 5-1 win in CHL against the German side of Eintracht Frankfurt might tell us the mini-crisis is over. In any case, I do see the Reds coming ahead today with a similar big win, perhaps a 4-0 or 4-1.

17:30 Man Utd v Brighton

Brighton

My first instinct on this one was a draw, but when I look back, Manchester United is still the same unreliable team as ever. A two-game winning streak for the Devils seems too much of an accomplishment. God forbid three wins in a row. Now, Brighton appears undefeated in the last five encounters with three wins and two draws. What is more, they are kind of a kryptonite for Man Utd, having dismantled them in four of the last five matches. To put it simply, Man Utd has not won at Old Trafford against this opponent since 2022. I would pick the smarter choice, Brighton, to win again.

Chelsea comes after a good run, counting 4 wins and 1 loss in the last 5 matches in all competitions. They have had success in the CHL, claiming 2 wins in the past weeks. Now, one thing I have learned about the Blues is that they are unpredictable. The bigger the success they have, the harder the upcoming loss, which is likely to come sooner rather than later. They are facing Sunderland, which is sitting in exactly the same position with 14 points collected so far, just like Chelsea. Sunderland have been playing really well, and they come from a decent form, counting 2 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss in the last 5 games. While Chelsea is a tough opponent, at least on paper, I believe Sunderland and their gradual rise will be displayed today and help the guests claim an important win. Sunderland to win by 0-1.

Newcastle comes after a good run of 3 wins and 2 losses in the last 5 matches in all competitions. They come straight from a 3-0 win against Benfica in the Champions League 3rd round, which should have further boosted the team. On the other side, Fulham counts 2 wins only and what are now 3 consecutive losses. This poor run ought to end soon as Fulham tends to come back from losses and fix their run, or at least that is what we have seen them do before. Now the chances are real here since Fulham counts 2 wins in the last 2 head-to-head confrontations. However, a direct win seems a bit hard, especially after the good form Newcastle has shown around. I see the draw has been missing in this fixture for a while; hence, I'd go with a draw, 0-0 or 1-1.

Both Leeds and West Ham are doing very poorly at this time, both coming from 2 consecutive losses. The hosts are slightly better with 1 win, 1 draw, and 3 losses, whereas the Hammers are winless with their best result being a draw against Everton among 4 losses in their last 5 games. Now, West Ham did change management, and they would be seeking to get out of this situation. Against the likes of Leeds, this is the perfect chance to return to a win. The Hammers have a slight advantage anyway as they have led the head-to-heads by 3-1. Hence, I would consider an away win for West Ham, perhaps a 1-2.

As a defender for the Hammers, Kilman often has to be rough in his duels, and that has often resulted in him getting shown yellow cards, twice in the last 5 games to be exact. That said, I would not be surprised to see Kilman get booked today against Leeds as well.
