20:15 Newcastle v Man Utd

Man Utd

Since Amorim's exit, Manchester United has been doing really well. They come from a decent run of 4 wins and 1 draw. They will be facing a shaky Newcastle, which has improved a lot in recent encounters but still has 2 losses, one against Man City and the other against Everton. The head-to-heads have been mixed, but with the good momentum Manchester United has, I think this might end up as an away win for the Devils.
19:30 Aston Villa v Chelsea

Chelsea

Villa seems to be struggling at this time. They jumped from good momentum, keeping pace with the Citizens and being a real contender for holding 2nd place, to watching Manchester Utd come from midtable to tie them for 3rd. They have just 1 win in the last 5 matches, with the other encounters ending in 2 draws and 2 losses. Chelsea, on the other hand, remain shaky as well, as they are unable to accomplish a 2-win streak. They have 2 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss, which is a lot better than Villa's run. Villa have won the last 2 H2Hs, but in their current form I am afraid they won't be able to do the same today. The Blues are likely to get back at them and claim a decent win.

Fulham is coming from good momentum, having recorded three consecutive wins. They have a slight upper hand against West Ham, especially when comparing past head-to-heads, which Fulham leads 3??"1. The Hammers, on the other hand, are still struggling to avoid the relegation zone. They have made some progress recently, getting whatever points they could: one win, three draws, and one loss. I believe this will be a tough one, but Fulham might relax a bit, especially since they don't have the pressure of relegation that West Ham currently has. That said, I would not be surprised to see the Hammers come out victorious here, perhaps by 1??"2.

Manchester City is doing what they do every year. They make mistakes throughout the opening weeks, dropping points here and there, and then toward the end they start showing their grit and build themselves even stronger. They are now on six consecutive wins and have another relatively easy encounter ahead against Nottingham, which has lost three in a row. The Foresters are in a tight spot as they still risk relegation. I believe they might make a few attempts, but it will be hard to catch the Citizens off guard given their form. I would consider a draw; however, perhaps a late equalizer from Nottingham making it 2-2.

I would pick Bournemouth to win this encounter because Bournemouth has been slightly better than Brentford. Bournemouth is undefeated in the last 6 games with 3 wins and 3 draws. Against Brentford they have 4 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss. Brentford have seemingly dominated all of the last 5 H2Hs; however, I feel that for this fixture, Bournemouth as a more solid side might actually claim a long-sought direct win over Brentford.
19:30 Everton v Burnley

At first sight this encounter looks like an easy home win for Everton, but contrary to the bookies' pick, I would expect something else, as you never know with the Toffees. While Everton come right after a 3-2 win against Newcastle and are in good shape and momentum, I think they are far too unpredictable to be trusted with a second win in a row. They have indeed won this fixture 3 out of 5 in the last H2Hs, but I believe Burnley are coming from a hotter position. They are risking relegation, but there are still chances for them to survive. Looking at past matches, you can tell Burnley have been pushing hard. They drew against Chelsea and then played a really good game against Brentford, scoring 3 goals but were unfortunate to lose in the end by a close 3-4. That said, I think Everton might loosen their grip here and fall to Burnley's intent to win and their strong desire to avoid relegation. Burnley to win.

I think Leeds has been doing a really good job lately, and they seem to be overdoing themselves. They come after 1 win, 3 draws, and 1 loss in the last 5 matches. While they have been in better form than Sunderland, Sunderland started the season really well. They have managed to win against Leeds on a past occasion, and as they come from a draw, I believe Sunderland might push themselves a bit harder and achieve an away win. Sunderland to win 0-1.

While Palace has been like a kryptonite for the Devils in most of the last five H2Hs, we can safely assume that Carrick is turning things around at Old Trafford. The recent shine around Man Utd and the decent form they have displayed so far are proof of the good work the change brought. They are now undefeated in the last five matches with four wins and one draw. They are facing a shaky Palace, which seems to have collected three wins, one draw, and one loss in the last five matches in all competitions. I think this will be another challenge that Man Utd will prove themselves victorious in.

15:00 Burnley v Brentford

Brentford

Burnley are doing their best to escape the relegation zone, but it is not looking an easy task. They have managed to gather some important points, claiming a win over Crystal Palace and then drawing against Chelsea. The problem is they cannot find consistency. On the other hand, there is a very decent Brentford, which comes from a defeat by Brighton but is very eager to return to victory, given the rest of the last five games have ended in three wins and one draw for them. I believe this should not be a hard task for Brentford, so I'd go for an away win, perhaps 0-3.

Liverpool have been playing well and their run is decent, with 4 wins and 1 loss. The only loss was to the Citizens in the last minute. Each game becomes difficult now, especially since the opponent is sitting in the relegation zone. The Hammers had a very poor start but seem to have made some changes that tightened them up. They are now at 1 win, 3 draws, and 1 loss, unbeaten in 4 games, and have played some very good defensive football. While the Hammers have mostly struggled against Liverpool on most occasions, they have reason to put up a fight today. A 3-point win against the likes of Liverpool would take them a step away from the relegation zone. Although the task is very difficult, it is not impossible, as the Reds have already shown signs of vulnerability; an away win would not surprise me.
15:00 Newcastle v Everton

Newcastle seem to be the bookies' favourite here, as not only are they the home favourite but they also have decent form with 4 wins and 1 loss in the last 5 matches in all competitions. Qualification in the Champions League is a big deal for them and that might also mess with their heads, so I would not be surprised if they are not at their fullest against Everton. The Toffees are a funny team, as they tend to be very unpredictable. They come after a form of 1 win, 2 draws, and 2 losses in the last 5 matches. After 2 losses in a row I reckon Everton will push themselves to at least avoid a third loss in a row. It is worth mentioning that Everton have managed to defeat Newcastle on a few occasions in past H2Hs. As a matter of fact, Everton actually lead the H2H record 2-1 in the last 5 mutual encounters, where Newcastle have only won once and the other two encounters ended in draws. Everton to win on the road.

12:30 Bournemouth v Sunderland

Sunderland

Bournemouth continues their undefeated run, displaying a really solid form: unbeaten in the last 5 matches with 3 wins and 2 draws. The opponent here looks much poorer, as they have spiraled into a series of losses. Sunderland is just passing through a bad time right now. They are still playing good games and putting in all the effort, however, despite ending up with 2 wins and 3 losses in the last 5 games. The interesting fact here is that Sunderland has often been a “black cat” for Bournemouth, as they have 2 victories in the past 5 head-to-head encounters. That said, Bournemouth might meet an unexpected defeat, as they could loosen their grip and cool off given their solid run. Sunderland to claim a win ??" perhaps 0-1.
