Is the obvious too simple? Won the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham and looks to be a revitalised horse this year. Had a few of these behind him at Cheltenham and nothing obvious to suggest they should reverse the form.

Difficult to see past Heart Wood. He has good form over this trip (2m4f) and the others, apart from Grey Dawning, are not up to this class. Grey Dawning may find this a bit short; he wants 3m, and the Gold Cup may have taken something out of him. Expect Heart Wood to lead, with Grey Dawning cruising in behind. Heart Wood should gradually increase his lead over the last two, with Grey Dawning struggling to close and his jumping may go astray when jumping at speed.

Had a bit of a break since a 2nd at Catterick two months ago. Acts on good or softish ground and is quick enough in the grade. Won a similar contest at Windsor on 1 Jan and won easily.

Turns up here every year and is there or thereabouts each time. Could be the same as last year against Wonderwall with only a neck between them. Both have had similar preps and I take Its On The Line to reverse the form from last year. Wonderwall is now a 10-year-old and can't be better than last year, whereas Its On The Line is now a 9-year-old and maybe at his peak.

You could make a case for most of these, and the King George form on Boxing Day may be the key piece of form. The Jukebox Man was the one that stayed on after the last and will probably be the most suited by the extra 2f (and more testing course).

Impressive at the DRF over 2m 6f and wasn't stopping at the end. TheDevilUno has good form at Doncaster in January over 3m, but prior to that he was beaten by Doctor Steinberg by over 4l, and it's difficult to see how he can reverse that. He needs to settle a bit more as he is keen, but that hasn't really impacted him so far.

Won this last year by 8 L (second in 2024). Panic Attack is a good handicaper, and Spindleberry was found out last time in a Grade 1 when well beaten. Dinoblue had a warm-up at Naas a month ago, which will put her spot on today.

Looks like another plot job by the Skeltons. Sinnatra won a maiden by 55l at Sandown (2m) at the beginning of January, followed up with a third in a Listed race at Huntingdon (2m4f), and won a Class 4 novice contest at Warwick on 20 Feb (won easily). Gets in here with 10-5. Looks thrown in.

Narciso Has was my pick after the DRF, but he doesn't run today. Second to him that day was Selma De Vary, over 4l away. The ground was very soft and that's what Selma De Vary needs. With the faster ground, the next best form is Proactif, who can lead or drop in. Good, clean jumping may be the difference today.

Second to Ma Shantou in October (beaten over 2l), which looks good form. Followed up with a win at Haydock in November (battled well that day) and has not been seen since. Very competitive race and will need a bit of luck in running.

Another great race in prospect. The first four in the betting all have a great chance, but Banbridge is the one that runs to a consistent level every time. Not quick enough for 2m and doesn’t stay 3m2f. The King George form on Boxing Day is the best form. Factotum File was well beaten that day (not his real running). Factotum File has a similar profile, but does he need softer ground?

Really good race with lots of these in with a chance. Kabral Du Mathan is not guaranteed to get 3m (was running over 2m last season and has only gone 2m4f this season). Is Teahupoo on the decline? Mas Shantou beat Impose Toi by 7l here in January. However, Impose Toi was giving him 6lb that day and it's level weights today. They were together over the final hurdle and Mas Shantou sprinted away, whereas Impose Toi was eased when beaten. With the weight swing and better ground, Impose Toi has to be the value.

With Sixmilebridge now a non-runner, Jordans Cross is the one who should benefit. He's very tough and battles, has won at Cheltenham, and acts on 2m4f on good or softish ground.

Very consistent and unbeaten this season, winning three Novice Chases (the last one was a Grade 1). A form line using Miami Magic means Sixmilebridge has the beating of the current favorite, Regent's Stroll. Jordan's Cross is a big danger but would need to improve on what he has done so far.

The form for Bambino Fever and Oldschool Outlaw are tied together and are probably the best form here, but they have kept to mares-only races. Carrigmoornaspruce went up against the boys last time, when a good second at Leopardstown at Christmas. Looks the value here at around 12/1.
