If Inothewayurthinkin didn't turn up at Cheltenham, we would be looking at a three-time Gold Cup winner, and Galopin would be 1-4f here, so odds against looks a standout price. Might not have been 100% at Cheltenham and doesn't need to be 100% here. Banbridge and Spillane's Tower are not guaranteed to get 3m (and this is 3mf), and Monty's is a bit of a plodder.

Won the bumper at Cheltenham fairly easily, but not sure how good that form is as the fancied horses didn't turn up, and the first nine home (apart from Bambino) were all 12/1 plus. It's the run at the DRF that's the standout piece of form, which confirms she has plenty in hand on all of these.

Normally a good jumper, but he didn’t look happy at Cheltenham and clouted one halfway round, which effectively ended his chances. But he plugged on to finish 5th. With a clear round, he should bounce back. That mistake was the difference. Lecky is the obvious danger, who might be improving but is still reasonably inexperienced.

Third in the novice chase at Cheltenham, then followed up with a close 2nd at Aintree. They were over 2m 4f, so this 3m 5f is unknown, but he settles and jumps well and normally drops in behind the leaders, so he can avoid any scrimmaging in the pack. Big chance with only 10st 2lb. Some of the more fancied runners were in the National, which will have taken a lot out of them.

This looks to be between two of the Mullins battalion, Gaelic Warrior and Gentleman De Mee. Not sure there is much between them. Gaelic has the best form and looked good when stepping up to 3m at Cheltenham. Gentleman ran well in the Topham at Aintree carrying 11st 11lb, staying on to win in the final furlong. Will be there at the finish and may nick it if Gaelic puts a few dodgy jumps in.

Found 2m at the DRF a bit short and then was travelling strongly in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham coming down the hill and then weakened coming round the bend. Class horse in the race and would be around 1-2f here if Bob Olinger wasn't in the Stayers at Cheltenham. We would be talking about an 8l going away winner (going away from The Wallpark). Third in the Stayers at Cheltenham, beaten fair and square by Bob Olinger and Teahupoo. The ground is fast, so you need something that has won on good. Should be a much shorter price as miles clear on my figures with his second in the Triumph. Only danger is Horaces Pearl who has not been extended on his two runs over hurdles but they were only class 3 and 4 - he also won the NHF here last year. Lulamba has won over 2m2f in heavy ground so 2m4f on a flat track on good ground should be fine.

Taken off his feet over 2m at Cheltenham and finished like a train up the hill. Today's longer trip, 2m 4f, should help him keep up with the pack and then use his finishing speed at the end. Aintree is a flat, fast track so today's race conditions may be ideal for him. The favorite, Impaire et Passe, didn't jump well at Leopardstown at the DRF and these Mildmay fences can be still, which won't help him.
