On a great run, going for his fifth win on the bounce. Very tough, pulls out a bit more when challenged, and stays 3m really well in soft ground, which is what we have today.

The run at Doncaster in a Class 3 is the best form here. Drops down to a Class 4 so will give a bit of weight to the rest. Will like the slightly better ground and sees out 3m+ well.

Alot of lightly raced ones here. Seven Fires ran well 4 weeks ago at Chelmsford, very keen early on and went to the front too early, then eased when beaten. Comprador looks very short on what he has done in his one run, finished well but not a great reace or time.

Looks like a really good race with some good (just below top class) horses. Second to Panic Attack, giving her well over a stone in the Hennessy (Coral Gold Cup), was a great run and the best form here.

The Welsh National form could be the key here, and Livin On Luco came out the best and was staying on. That race was over 3m6f, and today is an extra half mile. Only an 8yo, so there is scope for some improvement.

Very comfortable in the grade (Class 5) and over this trip. Still throws in a dodgy jump (these are novices). Over hurdles he ran better on better ground, so the more the ground dries out the better.

Very close between Boiling Point and Chancellor, but Chancellor shades it as Boiling Point has not run since September. Boiling Point should set the pace and give Chancellor something to aim at.

Just does enough. Can plough through heavy ground and stays 2m really well. The favorite, Storming Nelson, is still a novice and is slow over his fences, especially at the final few.

The Cheltenham race in December over this trip is the key piece of form, where Party Vibes and Theonewedreamof jumped the last two at the same time (along with a load of other horses). Party Vibes stuck on really well to win. Theonewedreamof has had a bit of a break (last run 20 Dec), whereas Party Vibes was pulled up in heavy going at Sandown just over two weeks ago, so this might just make the difference.

Didn't quite see out the extended 3m at Windsor last time, so this 2m5f+ should be ideal. The fav, Milcree, won well last time but beat nothing and in a poor time, not to mention the potential 'bounce' factor as that was his first race for nearly two years. Queensbury Boy will like the ground, is suited by the distance, but needs to sharpen up his jumping.

Haiti Couleurs is yet to prove that he's Grade 2 class. Three miles here is a lot different to the Welsh National (3m 6f+) at Chepstow. L'Homme Presse has run in top-class races and made Spillane's Tower work at Cheltenham two weeks ago, which shows that even though he is now 11, he still runs to a high level. L'Homme Presse will make it and set an honest pace. Haiti Couleurs also has the Gold Cup as his target, so he may not be fully wound up.

Should be a really good race. GDC is looking to win this race for the fourth time. From his first run of the season here just after Christmas, where he was well in contention before tiring after the last, he looks like he's still retained his enthusiasm. Gaelic Warrior brings the King George form, but an extended 3m on heavy ground will be totally different to Kempton. Of the others, we know all about them, and each of them is capable of putting in a good run.

Not sure why there is such a price difference between Narciso Has (8/11) and Mange Tout (11/4) when Mange Tout beat Narciso Has comfortably at Fairyhouse at the end of November. Has to be the value.

Sometimes the obvious is staring you in the face. Tried to look at what can beat Lossie, but she has beaten them all before and easily. El Fabiolo is interesting. He switched to hurdles last time and won easily, but that was a lower grade and the time was poor.

Has a great record at Leopardstown, three Grade 1s. This is his Cheltenham, whereas this is a trial for most of the others. He will go out in front and, with the very soft ground, the others may struggle to make the ground up.
