Going well last time at Kempton but just didn't finish off and faded over the last two. Today is a much softer race and can't see him out of the first three. Stays 2m4f+ and would appreciate a bit of rain (which is forecast).

Third last year and may have won had it not been for a mistake at the last. Running on well to catch the front two. Jumps round well, stays, and has course experience. Last year's winning jockey also aboard.

Difficult to see past Heart Wood. He has good form over this trip (2m4f) and the others, apart from Grey Dawning, are not up to this class. Grey Dawning may find this a bit short; he wants 3m, and the Gold Cup may have taken something out of him. Expect Heart Wood to lead, with Grey Dawning cruising in behind. Heart Wood should gradually increase his lead over the last two, with Grey Dawning struggling to close and his jumping may go astray when jumping at speed.

Good second to Old Park Star at Cheltenham, and wins this easily if he is within 80% of that form. Short price but fair.

Had a bit of a break since a 2nd at Catterick two months ago. Acts on good or softish ground and is quick enough in the grade. Won a similar contest at Windsor on 1 Jan and won easily.
