Should be a really good race. GDC is looking to win this race for the fourth time. From his first run of the season here just after Christmas, where he was well in contention before tiring after the last, he looks like he's still retained his enthusiasm. Gaelic Warrior brings the King George form, but an extended 3m on heavy ground will be totally different to Kempton. Of the others, we know all about them, and each of them is capable of putting in a good run.

Not sure why there is such a price difference between Narciso Has (8/11) and Mange Tout (11/4) when Mange Tout beat Narciso Has comfortably at Fairyhouse at the end of November. Has to be the value.

Sunday was a tough day for favorites at the DRF, but today should kick off well for favorite backers. Won a Grade 2 easily over 2m 4f in very soft ground and now steps up to Grade 1 and an extra 2f.

Sometimes the obvious is staring you in the face. Tried to look at what can beat Lossie, but she has beaten them all before and easily. El Fabiolo is interesting. He switched to hurdles last time and won easily, but that was a lower grade and the time was poor.

Has a great record at Leopardstown, three Grade 1s. This is his Cheltenham, whereas this is a trial for most of the others. He will go out in front and, with the very soft ground, the others may struggle to make the ground up.

Looks like the value in the race. The favourite, Forglen, only ran 3 days ago, so it's a very quick return over this 1m6f trip. Achnamara is second favourite with top weight, but he's very out of form. Himself has won over 1m4f and just about stays 1m6f.

Could still be ahead of the handicapper - up 6 lb for a 2l+ win here in November, followed up again here on 2 Jan and now up another 3 lb. For whatever reason, this 9yo is in great form and hard to see out of the first three.

Takes a drop in class here and should dictate from the front. All the others don't like to lead. It might be difficult for the others to make up ground on this soft ground.

Favourite for the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury after being so impressive at Cheltenham. Fell at the 9th when leading, which is not ideal, as he does tend to put in a dodgy jump every now and again. Today could be a recovery mission, but the bare form says he has a few pounds in hand.

Should be a good race despite only three runners. Alnilam should lead with the other two closely behind. Be Aware has the slightly better form and should just shade this.
