It often pays to go with higher draws over 5f at Sandown in bigger fields. So, Balmoral Lady, drawn in the highest box, could go well at double-figure odds. She ran very well in a Group 1 last time.

This looks like value to me as the maiden he won at Chepstow has had 4 subsequent winners from it. Although odds-on, he won next time easily at Goodwood. He has some notable Royal Ascot flops to contend with here, but at these odds and a high draw, which I prefer over Sandown's 5f, it's worth an each-way bet. Colts have taken the last 4 runnings of this.

Incensed has had three runs here at Kempton, which resulted in 3rd on debut over 1m at 28/1, 2nd in an 11f maiden, and then 1st in a 12f class 4 off 80. Today we are off 83 in a class 3, but I still feel double-figure odds are value, especially after her seasonal debut was a respectable 5th of 8 in a good Sandown race. That was her first run for Amanda Perret, so I expect improvement.

Savannah Smiles was 4th and beaten less than 2 lengths 2 runs back over 6f here at Chepstow. Now over 5f, where she has been 2nd here before, I expect a good run, especially with Elizabeth Gale taking 5lb off.

It often pays to go with the Mullins horse that has run last time over hurdles so that rules out the fav so we are getting nice odds here

Persica ran over 1m for the first time since April 2024 last time in the Lockinge and came last. But he was over 20/1, so not expected to compete really. I'm expecting a better run here over a course he was impressive at on his only start, and the forecast rain will surely help.

I'm siding with Bright Thunder here in a very open race. She has only had 8 runs, of which 7 have been Listed class or better. She will love the forecast rain and has form on a downhill course. So with 4 places on offer, she is worth an each way bet.
