Having had three runs, Valkyrie Storm looks quite exposed. However, the second run at Chepstow when 3rd looked promising to me. Her last run at Southwell was very lacklustre. I believe being out of Saxon Warrior, the swap to Polytrack will see her outrun her double-figure odds.

This looks a massive price to me, especially after her run when beaten by just over a length by Minnie Hawk in the Irish Oaks. The 4th last time was over an inadequate 1m2f, and back over 1m4f should play to her strengths. She also gets the 3yo allowance.

This looks like a good each-way bet to me. Siren Suits' debut was respectable enough when 6th on debut at Newbury, but nothing special. Then his 3rd over 5f here at Ascot, beaten under a length, has worked out well with the winner now off 114, the 2nd 103, and the 4th 106, which would put him right in the mix here. The layoff of 161 days after is a bit worrying, but the win 2 weeks ago over 7f at Kempton would have taken the freshness off, and I expect a good run.

This looks a fair price to me as we came second over the course and first try at this distance last time. The favorite is trying 2m for the first time and has Elizabeth Gale on, who is a good jockey but is on a losing streak of 70 rides.

So, Amen Warrior is worth a bet here as you can ignore his last run as it was on soft and in a first-time visor, which has now been discarded. The pieces are back on where he has a form of 221. This is a horse that was only beaten 2 1/2 lengths in the London Gold Cup, so he should go well.

The Ayr Silver Cup was a bit too much for Far Above Dream, but now back here at Goodwood where he won two runs back. Although now off 87 and up in grade, he has only had 10 runs, and a return here will surely see him outrun his odds.

It's all about the going with this one, even though he seems to have had his problems, having only raced 3 times in the last 14 months but 8 times in the previous 12. I believe the heavy going will show why Wathnan have stuck with him, and his third last time shows there is still some ability. That was on soft, being out of Territories. This heavy going will be perfect.

But in his last 3 runs, he has been nearer last than first. He had cheekpieces on, which clearly didn't work. They have been left off today, so at this price, he's worth the risk.

Apollo One won this race last year off 104. We go again off the same mark, and the 2nd last time out at Doncaster means we come here in form. The forecast overnight rain won't bother him, as it was soft last year when he won.
