It would seem folly to dismiss the past performances of this selection, given he was so dominant in both of his races to date. He won his first outing, a Maiden Special Weight, by 6.25L, and that at the time raised some eyebrows. It is not often those races are won so decisively, and so he was sent to the next level up, an Allowance race, and won that by an even bigger margin of 6.75L. Connections will hope there was no fluke about those results, and they may well have a good stakes runner on their hands. Looks worth keeping onside in this affair.

Almost a perfect winning record. His wins to date have averaged out at 7L. A very versatile runner, he can burn up the track with an incredibly fast early pace or, because of his great versatility, remain tucked away and stalk the pace before sweeping through with a serious challenge to his rivals. His current yard has won this race a record five times, and no doubt they are hoping to increase that achievement with another win in this event. Stopping him won't be easy.

Here from the UK to do battle and possesses the tools for the job, having taken on the best in Europe, he was runner up last time out to some of the best milers on offer. He is another that has a serious turn of foot which he used to settle many arguments. It is hoped he can repeat that scenario once again here, as he arrives late on with a punishing fast finish.

He won the Grade 1 Travers Stakes, along with the Grade 1 Blue Grass Stakes. He was also a close second in the Kentucky Derby and the Grade 1 Jim Dandy. He was beaten favorite last time out, but that loss was mainly attributed to the fact that he had to run wide all the way. This is his trip, and his turn of foot can bounce him back to the winner's circle. He looks at least a major player in this.

Beaten just once in her career when a close second in a top-level French race, she has multiple Group 1 wins to her name. Importantly, here as a 3-year-old filly, she receives a 5 lb allowance from her male rivals. That could be seen as a big advantage here. She looks the one to beat, and that is no easy task for her rivals.

His win last time out was very impressive and with a good early pace looking very likely here, it will suit his stalking ability, and he can pounce late on. His trainer is well-respected at this track with plenty of success to support that. The selection is well-drawn here on the inside, and he can conserve his energy and pounce on the trailblazers late on, with his turn of foot carrying him past and straight into the winner's circle.

Has more or less been there and done that. She has taken part in some very competitive affairs and proved to be equally effective on or off the pace, showing her to be very versatile. She won a Grade 3 Kentucky Downs Ladies Marathon just two starts back. With a top jockey onboard and in excellent form at present, she can show most of these a clean pair of heels.

Difficult to oppose this selection. He has run up against some of the better 2-year-olds around, and this trainer and jockey combo are well respected.
