Expecting Japan to win this one big. Tunisia have no choice but to go for the win, as they lost to Sweden by a heavy margin. Japan drew with the Netherlands and are playing well. They need a win today to keep the upper hand going into the game against Sweden. I expect a big win from Japan and this handicap should be easy to achieve.

Taking a chance on Japan 4-0. They scored 2 against the Netherlands. I think they are in good form and will score well. They are a tactically sound team and they generally keep clean sheets. So I think 4-0 looks worth a shout in this one.

Taking a chance on Paraguay to win. They lost to the USA, but I expect them to play well in this one. They had some good games at home against Argentina and Brazil in the qualifiers, but they failed to play well against the USA. They now need a win to stay in the playoff race. Turkey failed to score against Australia, and I think they are under pressure now. I think Paraguay has good value and is worth a shout at these odds.

This should be an easy game for the old champions. They only secured a point against Morocco and need a win to stay in the race for the playoffs. Haiti lost to Scotland by just a goal, but I think Brazil know their strengths and weaknesses more. Brazil won very easily against Haiti in many of the last games they played. Expecting another big win for Brazil.

Expecting Morocco to win this one. They held Brazil to a 1-1 draw and will look to secure full points against remaining opponents. They need a win in this one, as Scotland won their first game against Haiti. So I expect positive play from them. Morocco defeated Belgium and Canada in the last World Cup group stage. They are playing well in this World Cup as well. I expect Scotland to defend well, and I think it will be a close game, but I expect Morocco to win.

Expecting Morocco to win and keep a clean sheet. They generally don't concede goals. They conceded just 2 in the qualifiers in Africa. They conceded 1 against Brazil, so I expect they will be looking to keep a clean sheet. Scotland only managed to score a single goal against Haiti, so I feel Morocco and "No" is worth a shout in this one.

Both teams won their first game easily. Australia defeated Turkey, while the USA won big against Paraguay. The USA are sitting in a comfortable position after scoring heavily, while Australia are also in a good position as they kept a clean sheet against Turkey. I think it will be a tighter game than the odds suggest, but I expect the USA to win in front of the home crowd.

Australia doesn't concede many goals, and I expect they will look to keep their defence intact today after winning the first game easily. They kept a clean sheet against Iran and England and conceded just one goal against Wales in the group stage in 2022. I think the USA will look to score and then defend to secure a win. So I think under 2.5 goals is worth a shout in this one.

Taking a chance on Starmade to go close here. Did not find a win in the first two attempts last year but won on the third attempt at Newcastle on the AW track over 5f in October. Good return on handicap debut this year in April on turf to place 3rd of 13 runners at Bath. Won last time out at Newcastle over 6f last month. 8 lb up today. Stepping back into the trip should not be a problem. Trainer Ed Dunlop's yard is 1-9 and 1 placed at Ascot with 3yo runners. The yard has a decent SR of 13% in 3yo handicaps. Jockey Harry Davies is on board and he is riding well in handicaps. He is 3-27 in 3yo handicaps this season. Has an SR of 12% at Ascot over the last five seasons. So I think Starmade has a good each-way chance in this one.

Taking a chance on Rosa Inglesa to go close here. Progressive last year and also on two attempts this year. Won at Chelmsford in a Novices' Stakes in September last year. Did well to place 6th in 26 runners at Newmarket in the Tattersalls Stakes at 14/1 in October. Ran well on handicap debut at Wetherby over 7f to place 3rd in 8 runners at 2/1 on return in April this year. Won at Nottingham last time out over 8½f in 9 runners at 3/1. 9 lb up today but should go well at Ascot. Charlie Fellowes's yard has had success at the festival in the past. Won this race in 2019 and 2020. The yard is 2-21 and 2 placed at Ascot with 3yo runners in the last five years. Jockey Harry Davies is on board and he is 2-15 riding 3yo runners for this yard. He is 1 win and 1 place riding Rosa Inglesa so far. He is 5-43 riding 3yo runners at Ascot. He is riding well in handicaps and had 1 win and 1 place so far this week at the festival. So I think Rosa Inglesa has a good each-way chance in this one.

Taking a chance on Opportunity to go close here. Won in novice company at Haydock last year over 11f in April. Decent attempt in listed company in May but struggled here in the King Edward VII Stakes in June. Ran well in handicap company on return here to place 3rd of 14 runners at 4/1 in April this year over 12f. Won at Carlisle last time out over 11f in 12 runners. 8 lb up today but should continue a progressive run. Stepping up to 12f should help. Trainer William Haggas's yard won this race in 2022. The yard had a couple of winners at the festival this week, one of them in handicap company. The yard has only an 8% strike rate with 4yr+ runners at Ascot but has had many placed. It has a decent 25% SR with 4yr+ runners over 12f trips. Jockey James McDonald is on board this time and he is 4-23 riding 4yr+ runners at Ascot. He is 1-11 in handicap company though has had a few placed. So I think Opportunity has a good each-way chance in this one.

Taking a chance on Libertango to go close here. Ran well at Leicester in a Class 4 maiden at 4/1 on good to firm ground over 6f. Should go well in similar conditions today at Ascot. Trainer George Boughey's yard is in excellent form. They had a couple of winners and a few placed in the last three days. The yard is just 1-28 but had six placed 2yo runners in Group races in GB. The yard is 1-15 and six placed with 2yo runners at Ascot. The yard does well over the 6f distance with an SR of 14%. Jockey Billy Loughlan is on the board and has an SR of 23% riding 2yo runners for this yard. He is 3-24 at Ascot. He rode a winner a couple of days back and has a decent 16% SR over 6f trips. He is 4-33 riding 2yo runners in Group races. So I think Libertango has a good each-way chance.

Both teams played well in the first game, but I think Mexico were much better against South Africa compared to South Korea against Czechia. South Africa conceded an early goal and were struggling to score, especially in the first half. I think Mexico had a good game and will continue the same form in the second game.

Expecting Canada to win this one. They came back well in the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina to draw. Qatar played too well to restrict Switzerland. I think Canada will play more positive football today, and I think they will make it count in this one.

Both teams lost their first game, so I expect they will both press for the win. Czechia have conceded goals in all the friendlies and also in the first game in the World Cup. South Africa managed to score against most opponents in friendlies and in the qualifiers. Czechia will be more forward compared to the South Korea game, and I think that will give South Africa a chance to score. I think BTTS is worth a shout in this one.

Taking a chance on Sweet Williams to go close here. Placed 2nd and 4th in the last two years in this race. Expecting another good run. In better form this season. Won here on return in a Group 3 in early May. Had a close 2nd in 7 runners at Sandown Park in a Group 3. Both runs were over 16f. On the same mark today. A step up in trip should do well today. The trainer has a good record in this race and has won many times. Jockey Robert Havlin is on board again and has a decent 21% SR riding over 2m+ trips. He has a decent 19% SR riding 4yo+ runners in group races. He has a decent 23% SR riding 4yo+ runners for this yard. So I think Sweet Williams has a good chance in this one.

Taking a chance on Brilliant Star to go close here. Won in novices' company at Yarmouth and Kempton this season in April and May respectively over 11f trips under the hands of Robert Havlin. Decent attempt over 10f in listed company to place 5th of 9 runners at 4/1. 2 lb lower mark today. Stepping up in the trips should see improvement. Trainer John and Thady Gosden won this race three times in the last 10 years but have struggled to find a winner since 2021. The yard had the runner-up last year in this race, though. Trainers are 2-4 at Ascot with 3 yr-old runners this season. The yard has a strike rate of 15% over 12f trips over the last five years. Jockey Robert Havlin is on the board today and he has 4-18 riding 3 yr-old runners this season. He is 1-30 at Ascot but has had 10 placed with 3 yr-old runners. He is 0-27 but had 8 seconds riding 3 yr-old runners in group races and is due a win. So I think Brilliant Star is worth an each-way shout at these odds.

This should be easy for Colombia. They have some exciting players and they play well in this part of the world. I think they will continue to do well.
