Placed twice on his last two starts in bumpers. Ran well both times. Improved last time out at Hereford on softer ground compared to Good to Soft at Southwell. Trainer Fergal O'Brien is 9 from 56 in bumpers this season. Jockey Fergal O'Brien is on the board again. He had a few placed rides last week. He is due a win. So I think Cool Customer is worth a shout in this one.

Trainer Billy Aparhamin is 3 from 14 over hurdles here at Market Rasen. Jockey Gavin Sheehan is on the board and he is 6 from 29 for this stable riding over hurdles this season. So I think Kalkaroo is worth a shout in this one. Trust House looks like the main danger.

This looks between top 2 in the market. Island Bridge placed 4th in novices' company in 18 runners at Cheltenham in a Class 3 race in October this season. Since then, she has been placed 2nd three times in maiden hurdles on right??'handed tracks. Returning to a left??'handed track at Chepstow should suit today. Trainer Kim Bailey and Mat Nicholls' stable is in excellent form currently. They had 3 wins in the last 14 days. They had a big odds winner at Cheltenham. The stable have 6 wins from 21 in maiden hurdle races this season. Jockey Tom Bellamy is on the board again. He has an SR of 27% riding over hurdles for this stable this season. So I think Island Bridge is worth a shout in this one.

Decent value for the home team. They have some experience in their side in the form of Santner, Neesham, Conway, and others. On the other side, South Africa have given plenty of new players a chance on this tour with the absence of most key players who played in the World Cup. I think NZ rightly start as favourites and should win the opener comfortably.

Tim Robinson is likely to bat at the top as Ravindra, Seifert, and Finn Allen are missing from the lineup. This is a good opportunity for him to strengthen his place in the lineup. Taking a chance on Barter Snow. Has an impressive record so far: 7 wins and 1 place in 8 races he ran. Won impressively at Ludlow over 24f in a 12-runner field by 12 lengths. This is a much tougher race, though. But he won here in May last year over 16f in a 7-runner field. Trainer JJ O'Shea is 6 from 10 over fences this season. Jockey Henry Crow rode last time out, and he is again on board. He is 6 from 13 over fences riding for this trainer. So I think Barter Snow has a good each-way chance in this one.

Trainer Willie Mullins has a good record in this race, winning consecutively four times in recent years. Paul Townend is on the saddle again.
