20:00 Portsmouth v Ipswich

Draw

50 WIN

@+259

Lose

-50

Ipswich now hold the prime position for automatic promotion, sitting in 2nd with this game in hand. It's important to remember Pompey are just one place above relegation but also have this game in hand. They come off beating Boro away and will keep things extremely tight, as a point will do them. So the draw is a real possibility.
20:00 Southampton v Blackburn

Southampton

50 WIN

@-163

Win

31

Southampton are arguably the most in-form side in the whole Football League. They haven't lost since January and have won 14 of 17 matches since then. They meet a Blackburn side that have improved but are still struggling just above relegation, and it's hard to see the Saints not winning this one.
19:45 Bolton v Stevenage

Draw

50 WIN

@+270

Lose

-50

Bolton are in the play-offs, but they haven't been convincing all season. They showed that when they lost to Cardiff at home last time. Stevenage are renowned for keeping things tight and come off a very good win at top home side Bradford. I really do think Bolton will struggle to break them down.

22:00 Players Championship 9

Luke Humphries

50 WIN

@+650

Lose

-50

I do like the look of Humphries here, who has been playing very good darts but just not getting the luck. He's been a bit hard on himself, but the results will come and he can win this Players Championship.
20:00 Man Utd v Leeds

Man Utd

50 WIN

@-161

Lose

-50

Man Utd now sit in third position and are as good as they have been for three to four seasons. With five home wins in a row, I think they will beat a much-improved side, especially after the gruelling cup game with West Ham, which they edged on penalties. Man Utd win 2-1 for me.
11:00 Lancashire vs Derbyshire County Championship

This will be close, but with just one loss in their last six, this can go to Lancashire here, who are more consistent than Derby.

Nottingham have to be the ones here. Draw aside, they have won 5 of their last 7 and should be too strong for Glamorgan.

Despite them being so short, Surrey look too strong in this match for the inconsistent Leicester, and they should win by a good few runs.
10:00 Allister Carter v Julien Leclercq

Allister Carter

Win Match

Carter is a regular at the Worlds, and it will be a surprise if he can't see off Leclercq, who has lost 3 of his last 5. Carter wins.
10:00 Anthony McGill v Martin O Donnell

Anthony McGill

Win Match

McGill has major proven pedigree at the Worlds with semi-final runs. His class and experience should get him through here.
10:00 Ben Woollaston v Oliver Lines

Ben Woollaston

Win Match

50 WIN

@-149

-50

It's Woollaston here. He qualified last time for the Worlds and in the first round played great to send Mark Selby marching home. That's good enough for me.

He looked like an up-and-coming force last season with some good wins, but he's lost his way, losing 6 of his last 7. I was impressed with Zehuang last time in his 10-2 win, and he will do for me.
10:00 Jimmy Robertson v Fan Zhengyi

This will be close, just like their only other meeting that Robertson won 4-3. But I fancy Fan to gain his revenge over the longer format.
10:00 Stephen Maguire v Liam Highfield

Sijun is coming off a whitewash loss, and I'm willing to take him on with Mertens, who comes off a very rare 10-0 win over Davies. He looks value.

Sergio Alfonso Mendoza Cordova

Matt Fitzpatrick

@+1800

Lose

-50

Never missed a cut here in 10 starts. After a rocky last year, his hard work has paid off this year. He almost won The Players and won the Valspar the week after. He should go very well if he has a good first day.

Matt Fitzpatrick

Top European

50 WIN

@+750

Lose

-50

I've been trying to look for alternatives to Rahm and Rory, and I do like Fitzpatrick. He's never missed a cut in 10 starts here and is arguably in the form of his career after a near miss in The Players and then winning the Valspar the week after. His hard work with his coach has paid off after a poor season, and he must go close with a good start.

Xander Schauffele

Top American

50 WIN

@+750

Lose

-50

Scheffler is dangerous to dismiss, but there's no doubt he's struggled this season more than he has the last two, and I like Xander. At his best, he was the only one near Scottie consistently, but injury set him back. He's started to gain strokes through the bag at events, and if he puts it all together he has the length and short game to win around Augusta. He's the top American for me.

Tommy Fleetwood

Top GB and Ireland

50 WIN

@+450

Lose

-50

I like Fleetwood here, as I have Fitzpatrick as top European, and it's Fleetwood's consistency that makes me back him. Granted, he hasn't been quite himself this season, but he's still been up there. He's now a PGA Tour winner and a silver medallist at the Olympics, and he definitely has the game to win at Augusta if he can get the putts to drop.

Corey Conners

1st Round Leader

25 EW

@+5500

Lose

-50

Plays this course so well, which is saying something for a dodgy putter. He had a top-10 last year, and his high draw is perfect for most holes around here. Took a week off last week to prepare properly for this and has had two top-15 finishes in his last two events. Lots to like for a good start. If you're looking for another bet, then him to be top Canadian at 8-13 against Nick Taylor and Mike Weir could look a steal.

A cracking match in prospect here, with both in form. Despite Higgins getting beaten by Zhao 10-1, he's had a most consistent season. Ronnie reached yet another final and didn't do much wrong, as Noh produced three centuries to win the last three frames, including a 147. It's Ronnie for me, who's a little fresher.

City have looked more like their old selves of late, with Gueshi, Cherki, Semenyo and Haaland all stepping it up. Confidence will be high, which is more than can be said for Rosenior's Chelsea side, who lost four straight before beating lowly Port Vale in the cup. City take this.

Cork do look head and shoulders above a struggling Limerick side here. They can get off to a flyer to dominate.
14:00 Crystal Palace v Newcastle

Newcastle

50 WIN

@+137

Lose

-50

This one should be close, with Palace the 15th-best home side and Newcastle the 14th-best away. But Palace haven't looked organized this season, with too much going on between their manager and the board about staying and going. Despite Newcastle having an average season, I think Palace will possibly have more problems and Newcastle will do enough.
14:00 Nottm Forest v Aston Villa

Draw

50 WIN

@+240

Win

Forest are only just two places above relegation and would love a win. With Villa dropping off recently it is possible, but Forest are far from convincing. I see a very close game, so the draw it is.
14:00 Sunderland v Tottenham

Draw

50 WIN

@+240

Lose

-50

Spurs, in a fight to avoid relegation, come up against a determined and well-organised Sunderland side at home. I like the draw. Spurs are lacking confidence and goals, and Sunderland always pose problems, despite not being as good as when they first started the season. It's a point apiece here.
14:00 Waterford v Tipperary

17:30 Liverpool v Fulham

Draw

50 WIN

@+350

Lose

-50

I'm tempted to go Fulham for an away win, but they just aren't good on the road. Liverpool have been poor and couldn't touch them, so they're short! Fulham were awful in the cup against Man City and were poor against PSG, losing 2-0 in the Champions League when it could have been 4 or 5. The side isn't right, but at home they could do enough for a point. It would take a brave man to back them to win at 4-6.
15:00 Bradford v Stevenage

Bradford

50 WIN

@+120

Lose

Bradford look a fair price here. They are the second-best home side in the league, having won 15 of their 20 home games this season. Stevenage have lost 10 of their 20 away games this season, only managing to score 19 times in those 20 games. Bradford have a great record against them, having last lost to them in 2014 and winning 7 of the 9 meetings between them since, with 2 draws. It's all Bradford for me.

I really fancy the draw here. It's hard to know what to make of them both, as they are both so inconsistent. Everton have 3 wins and 3 losses in their last 6, so they are due a draw. Brentford have drawn their last 3 in the league, and I do expect more of the same here.

It's probably now or never for Boro, who are now out of the automatic promotion spot to Ipswich. Ipswich have two games in hand and a worse goal difference. They need wins, and home to Pompey should be a good place to start, as Pompey have conceded the second most goals away. Boro can win.

Nerves still look to be playing a part with Arsenal after two cup exits recently, but they did win their Champions League leg 1 tie, mainly because of some great saves from Raya. I do fancy them to win here at home. They have only conceded nine at home all season, and Bournemouth have conceded 31 away. Arsenal should be taking this by a comfortable two-goal margin.
12:30 Coventry v Sheff Wed

Poor old Sheffield Wednesday are still making unwanted records, but they did get a good draw against Leicester. Coventry are now top by some way, and they know a win here will go a long way to securing the title. They are impossible to oppose.
