Lulamba just hasn't impressed me over fences despite winning. Last time, in The Game Spirit at Newbury, he jumped big and deliberate at a lot and was driven, but ultimately outstayed them in the end. It wasn't the sign of a speed horse for the Arkle. So I turn to the speedball of the party in Kopek, as he's the supreme winner and was slick and quick on his fencing debut. Despite not seeing him since due to small issues, it's easy to see him being too quick for these if he jumps well. I'm worried Lulamba won't even make it round.

This race is decent but therefore tricky, so I'm going to take a chance each way on this horse. He's got the engine and Cheltenham form, having been placed in the Champion Bumper. So, despite his form not being up to the others' standard, there's no doubt he has a much bigger performance in him. He looks the proven 2-mile speed horse in here, and the price looks fair.

Lance Les deserves a victory, but he looks to be meeting a very progressive type here in Largy Go. He was an impressive point winner and was then bought for £305,000 by JP McManus. He ran a big, eye-catching race. After being very green and hanging, he kept closing all the way to the line to get to within three-quarters of a length of the much-improved winner.
