I'm surprised not to see this horse favor in here. She's a point winner and heavy ground is no problem. She ran a stronger race under rules behind two very hot prospects in the last outing: none other than Bamino Fever. She was only 11 lengths behind, and for me that's better form than Shoda, with the potential to be better. She's the one getting weight.

For me, a couple of close calls between decent horses to start the card, but it's this horse I'm interested in. He's only ever been beaten once in his career, and that was 2nd in a hot Sandown bumper. He took on useful types over hurdles and beat them well. Despite him getting up close home on debut over fences, it's likely he wasn't fully fit and the trip just shy of 2 miles was a little short, so he showed class to get up. He likes soft/heavy ground and is unbeaten at the track, 2 from 2. Evan Williams hasn't had any winners from 10 runners over the past two weeks, but plenty have placed and run well, so don't let that put you off. Jono O'Neill Jr is a good booking, stepping up to 2m 3f looks perfect, and he's still exciting.
