Can confirm the form with Calandagan when the pair were first and second in the Coronation Cup, taking his winnings in Group 1 events to 2 from 2. Calandagan finally got his first Group 1 win in France last time out, winning easily from a field not as good as this, and I see no reason why Jan Brueghel should not confirm his form.

Other than the favorite, this is a poor renewal of the Irish Oaks, and it could be worth siding with Subsonic at an each-way price for the first two places. It's interesting that the stable has opted for a Group 1 option for the daughter of Lope De Vega following her seasonal return, which saw her finish down the field in a maiden. But it's last year's sole run that catches the eye when staying on a 1/2 length second to Minnie Hauk when looking very green. The fact that the stable highly rates this one suggests she could outrun her odds.
