Ran too bad to be true last time out and was pulled up soon after jumping the second, with something clearly amiss. We can draw a line through that run, although nothing conclusive came from it. His two previous runs are better pieces of form. He won a Class 4 at Plumpton and followed that up with a Class 3 run here. Presuming his last poor run came too soon after the last win, combined with the drop back to a Class 3, he could at least reach the frame here.

Was a revelation in veteran chases last term, winning three times, including a Veterans' Final and finishing runner-up twice, before finishing fifth on his final start. He needed his run on his return this year at Cheltenham when seventh of eight, but has been aimed at this race. Although the stable are not in the best of form, they did have a winner three days ago and can run well here.

Is becoming expensive to follow, but back on a track that will suit his front-running style, he can recoup some of those losses. His two poor runs have both come at Cheltenham, whereas his best runs have come on tight tracks. With the stable boasting a 31% strike rate here, he can run well at a nice price.

This looks a match between the two JP McManus horses. Although Honesty Policy has been put in as favourite, Impose Toi could be the one to side with. Honesty Policy has some stats to overcome, while Impose Toi hits nearly every trend and is unbeaten this term, winning his second start from Strong Leader. He is 6 lb worse off with that one, but did not jump the last well and stayed on dourly to snatch the victory and can again run well.
