I think they are taking a chance dropping Sir Albert down from 7f to 6f. I think he has enough in him to get a place. If you get 4 PL with a bookie on the day, then that may be preferred. But I am still hoping Sir Albert can produce a better finish. Oisin has had 4 rides on Sir Albert, so will hopefully know how to get the best from him.

Kalpana clearly likes it here with a record of 3-1-2, a 33% strike rate on turf, and is always a strong finisher. Pretty much always being in the frame, it's clear why they are currently the favourite. Estrange is an interesting lightly raced horse who could be a danger. But Kalpana is a C&D winner at Ascot, so I am siding with Kalpana. NB

It's a tough affair as you would expect, but Colin is back in the saddle after Buick lost to Qirat. I expect FOG to bounce back. He is a C&D winner here, and 5 wins out of 9 starts is a great record. Rightfully so, the favourite. I will also have Tamfana EW.

I'm torn between Tamfana and Carl Spackler. However, I have had Tamfana in my tracker for a while, and it has won some good races. Rossa's only ride wasn't great when he was 7/8 and lost to Lead Artist, but I think he has a chance to make the frame with 4 places on. This is a high-class affair, and there are plenty of good chances here. Small EW.

Almeric is lightly raced, which means there isn't much to go on, but has a fair record at a good level and has beaten some good horses. Came back in September after a 158-day break and won a class 1, although the calibre of horses in this race is better. EW bet.
