Cooltubrid Eva is the sort that can pop up at a good price now she’s back in her comfort zone. The Kilbeggan run over 3m looked to me a clear-cut "this is not for me" race, so the drop back to roughly 2.5m is exactly what she wants. She’s shown me enough around this trip to say that there’s a race in her from this sort of decent mark, and first-time cheekpieces could easily sharpen her up and help her travel better. With a handy claim she’s a realistic each-way here

Savana Bridget is a reliable trapper with enough early gears to clear potential trouble into the bend at Oxford. This is a circuit that rewards early positions more than finishing power. When she holds her pitch, she stays the trip strongly and usually keeps a straight, tidy line, which helps at this track. If she breaks level, she has a solid winning chance.

Photon is a strong, genuine all-weather handicapper trained by Roger Teal, with a love for Lingfield where he's placed before. This drop back to a more suitable trip of 10f should unlock his mojo. Switching from blinkers to cheekpieces could help him focus more here. Despite a tough run at Kempton last time, he has got multiple places off higher marks, which shows he's got the talent to hit the frame again with Lewis Edmunds steering. This looks an ideal opportunity for Photon to get right back on song, IMHO.

Brilliant Light is a classy old boy with a serious engine when things fall right. He is a proper staying handicap hurdler, and he’s already shown me that he can travel and compete in decent company over trips around 2½ miles to 3 miles. He was too lazy and never really fired at Thurles, but that sort of run can sometimes bring him on for next time, especially with cheekpieces back on and Danny Mullins doing the steering. If he travels with a bit more purpose, his ability and strong finish give him every chance of outrunning his mark, and he looks the type who could surprise a few at good odds here.

Atlantic Sunset is a very versatile 3yo trained by Charlie Johnston, who has already shown me some good ability over middle distances, particularly around 12 to 14. He’s a consistent sort with multiple wins and placings this season, including a strong third in Newmarket. He has had some ups and downs but with Jason Hart taking the ride, he has every chance to run another strong race here
