John Feane's 4 Year old gelding OHAILBHIC's recent performances might not have you scrambling down to the bookies, but I personally don’t think this son of EXCEED AND EXCEL should be totally discarded here. This charge has put in some decent shifts on the turf. His run at Cork (7f) three starts back, when coming off a 269-day break, yielded a 5th place, 2-length finish. We also have a 1¾-length 4th at Naas in Class 2, keeping on over 6f off a mark of 84 (now 72). I’ve failed to mention that this lad has actually won on this surface (over 6f, keeping on) in one of three appearances on the AW. I’m happy enough to put a line through this lad’s last outing; running through the slop certainly didn’t help. Experienced jockey Seamus Heffernan remains in the plate, and at 16/1 there is enough here for an each-way poke.
