Thomas Coyle's 8 year old Gelding RIVER DERWENT is a talented charge there is no doubt but he has this tendency to be a little slow out of the stalls which is very frustrating because he still tends to run his race & make up ground which makes you think "if only he didn't miss the kick". This Son of KINGMAN has been creeping closer the past 3 runs here @Dundalk over the mile mark but does have 7f wins on his CV & arrives here 1lb under his last win. Jockey James Ryan Has won with this charge previously & ran a very good 4th ¼ on penultimate. I won't say it's not risky but this charge has been there or there abouts recently & at 22/1 I'm happy to play this each way.
