This is mighty tough to break down with some of these which just met two days ago. One that caught the eye was Titanium. Always last, it made good headway but ran wide before finishing best of all under Nicola Burns. It gets a better draw today and a 7 lb claimer up in Gettigan, and the extra furlong looks sure to suit.

From the draw and pace angle, I'll try a small each way on Tamam Desert back here. Blasted off in a recent tough assignment, it was reeled in at the pole, so 7f looks its distance. S Heffernan keeps the ride. Looks a lively outsider.

I'll give my favourite horse a swansong here, back in a hurdle after a demolition job on the flat recently, showing its well-being. Lord Erskine owes me absolutely nothing, so I don't mind if it comes last. Lump on each way, you'll not see it many more times. It's in form.

Two AW wins bode well for the Heather Main runner, Iconic Times, which gets a good draw to aim at under M Paetel, claiming 5lb. The stable has recently had a couple of winners. Looks a player.
