Kerdos improved plenty for seasonal return when finishing 5th at Royal Ascot LTO. This represents a big drop in class down to Group 3 level, and with race fitness on his side, he can make his quality show in this field.

Greek Order was mighty impressive on his first start for Michael Bell when finishing 4th in the Royal Hunt Cup from a mark of 95. Had shown similarly strong form for Juddmonte as a 3yo when trained by Roger Charlton and spent his 4yo campaign stateside. Given a 2lbs rise, he should still be well handicapped from a mark of 97 under Ryan Moore and looks well drawn (stall 9) with Mirsky going forward from stall 10. Quick ground will suit and he's still pretty unexposed despite being a 5yo now.

Stressfree was impressive over C&D two starts back, winning by a neck by value for more given he was held up and delivered late to win going away. That came from a mark of 97 and he's 5 lbs higher here, but I'm happy to forgive his poor run at Royal Ascot LTO where he was never involved and suggest he's still well handicapped back at Haydock. Connections won this two years ago and the setup of the race should suit better than when here last time, and those towards the top of the handicap often do well in this race, with class coming to the fore.

Ombudsman might be hard to beat if in the same form as LTO, but Ruling Court is being massively overlooked, seeing as he beat Field Of Gold in the 2000 Guineas two starts back. Got first run that day, and the form was turned around LTO, but he had a messy prep having been teed up for the Derby before his late withdrawal. With a smoother build-up here, he can show his class. 10f looks fine, and 3yos have won the last 4 renewals. He's got both AOB horses shorter than him in the market despite having stronger form, and he bolted up on his only start here, albeit that was in a maiden. I fancy Godolphin will have the 1-2, but the order might cause a surprise.

India have never won at Edgbaston, and the hosts come into this full of confidence after a comprehensive win last time out. The visitors have an injury doubt over Bumrah, and England should make this 2-0 in the series.

Roglic isn't the force of old, and his status within his Red Bull team looks under threat by Florian Lipowitz, who finished a good 3rd in the Dauphine behind the two market favourites. He raced well to finish 7th on his Grand Tour debut in the Vuelta last year. It looks open behind the front two, and he is going under the radar at 33/1.
