Backing horses from the flat first time over hurdles is often not the right move, but Percy Shelley could be an exception to that rule. He has been very consistent in fair races during the summer, and his trainer, James Owen, does well with his dual purpose charges. The obvious danger is Three Pikes, who has two seconds over hurdles to his name.

Hopefully, the rain will miss Redcar, which will give Fletcher's Flight a good chance of getting back to winning ways. Before his disappointing run on soft ground at Sandown, Fletcher's Flight had shown more than enough to suggest he could be winning a poor race like this.
